We had a great time visiting with the goats. Some were only a week old and others were 3 to 4 weeks old. So cute and curious. Very friendly goats and staff. You must buy the sampler box. 4 oz portion of chevre, herb 'd Provence chevre, 6 month aged goat cheese, fig jam and some crackers with a wood knife and spoon. Highly recommend buying the pimento goat cheese.....soooo good. The chevre is very mild for those that don't appreciate tangy goat cheese.

Being at the farm and snuggling the goats was the most wonderful and therapeutic family time we have had in a while. The staff was so kind and welcoming. The goats were so cute and curious. The cheese is amazing. We finished off our visit with a delicious cheese picnic.

don’t go on hot summer days. too hot to enjoy hot stank animals that don’t want to move. but loved it otherwise. beautiful scenery, great wine, unstoppable selection of goat cheese. cute animals when not too full of hot stank.

Snuggle the goats - it’s life changing. I have a 3yo daughter who also enjoyed it immensely. You can sample all their products while you’re there, too, and buy if you want. We will do it again.Bought some goat cheese - fantastic.

My friend and I purchased two half hour tickets to the snuggle with goats event, and I have to say we were very disappointed. Although there were a lot of baby goats and four pens to visit, we barely got any quality time with the goats. Naturally not all of the babies felt up to interacting, and there were so many people for the ones that were socializing. The time slots also did not appear to be monitored well so it is unclear how many people were there for longer than their time period. We drove three hours round trip and we were so excited, but we didn’t feel it was worth it.

Great place, felt a little like "hippie light" but in a good way. Staff was super friendly, prices were less then expected, that's always a plus. You can sit and enjoy a light snack(cheese and crackes). The drive out is a great rural drive. Rolling hills and pastures. Definitely would return.

We visited the farm early in the spring when the new baby goats had just been born. We had amazing time seeing the babies, playing with them a bit, and then purchasing some of the amazingly delicious homemade goat cheese that the farm was selling. I can't wait to go back next year!

My family and I had an amazing time here, we snuggled baby goats, and left with $50 worth of the best cheeses we've ever had. The only reason I'm here now is because I'm on my way to see if they ship it as well, and saw they only had two reviews. We drove from Florida to visit family and to go to Caramont Farm. We will be back soon!

Upon our arrival one of the women who assists at the farm, explained that they were not ready but to park anywhere. There was no feeding, there was no tutorial of how to handle the goats; it was basically, open a gate and go see them. My friend and I did so. The young woman checking people in was very pleasant and informative. The goats were adorable and quite affectionate. There was a concern with three of the younger goats, as they seemed to be malnourished and lethargic. I do understand that It is survival of the fittest but, I would have imagined those babies would have been protected and kept away from the public. The peacocks were beautiful and quite active while we were there. However, one proceeded to damage my friends drivers side and passenger side of the car. There are scratches and dents in her car that will need to be buffed and popped out (this will be a pricey expense). This is an unexpted expense that could have been avoided if we were informed about the aversion of the peacocks reflection and it's agression towards it, which another attendee educated us on this fact. My friend and I decided to leave at this point. I chose to communicate what had transpired to the same woman that informed us earlier that they were not ready. I explained that I was sure they knew about the peacock attacking cars, and that They would not do anything about it, but there should be some form of warning on the premises and on their website and generated email that goes to those who will be visiting the farm, examining the risk to their vehicles as they cannot control the birds. There was no apology, no remorse, she just stood there. As I walked away, my friend witnessed this same woman role her eyes and scuffed off everything I had just said. Her lack of empathy and disconcern for the situation that was still taking place was the main reason I was urged to write this review. There were two other vehicles that were being attacked and none of the staff did anything to notify the owners of these vehicles as to what was happening. With all of this being said; we will not be coming back, and we will not leave any positive reviews. I feel that you should make this situation right, and assist in the payment of the repairs as there are no disclaimers on the premises nor on your website as of April 1, 2017. We drove 3.5 hours to come cuddle goats which was an unorganized event. Moreover, we waited a a year to attend this event.

I wanted to write a review of Caromont because almost all of the google reviews talk about the goat snuggling days, which are absolutely incredible, but Caromont is so much more than that. Caromont Farm is a working farm and they produce absolutely amazing cheese. I love the traditional chevre. It is smooth and rich and not at all gamey. My favorite cheese is the Esmontian. It is a hard cheese that has a nuttiness that reminds me of a good manchego, but it is more versatile. It is great on sandwiches, with meat, salads, etc., but best of all just plain. They are very generous with tastings at farmers markets and when the farm is open to the public; I encourage you to try their cheese when you have the chance. You won't be sorry. As far as the goat cuddling or snuggling days, they are truly some of my happiest days of the year. The goats are so well loved by Gail and Izzy and Daniel and the rest of the team and some will curl up on your lap wanting to be cuddles and fall asleep. Others like to play and jump and are so much fun. I am so grateful that they open the farm up during the kidding season and share the farm with the public, especially since I am sure it means even longer days for them since all of the regular work needs to be done while they are preparing and hosting the snuggle days.

We have been getting their cheese for years while living in Charlottesville and it is some of the best cheese I have ever had. We moved up to DC this year and Caromont is one of the things we miss most. They did a DC delivery yesterday and their cheese was better than I remember! Please come back up to DC again!
