This Walmart has very kind staff. Everyone is always helpful. The selection for the office/ school supply area is a bit small but overall there are other departments that are much better at this location. The produce is fresh and the children’s clothes are always well stocked. Anytime I am in the area for work I stop by this location.

On point 100%!Catering 2 the last 1 of 4 kids, 4 convince, 4 prom, booked a hotel room. Prior 2 leaving home, parentally, attempting NOT, 2 "micro manage" the moment, with checks & balances. 4 the occasion, dress shoes STILL ended up being forgotten! QUICK, purchased, within the "local" arena, was done..WHEW!

Went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Everyone is always very courteous and helpful. Francine assisted me thIs time and did an exceptional job. Explained everything clearly and patiently. I prefer to have my prescription picked up at Walmart over delivered by the USPS.

Pretty clean Walmart. The restrooms were not in bad shape which mad me happy. Lot of product of the shelves. Easy to find things in The aisles. Checkout lines not to bad either maybe I just came at the right time. I did think the Walmart would be a lot bigger inside but can’t complain.

This Walmart was a ghost town, except for the shoppers. My son and I stopped to pick up some movies and tools, got to one of the two checkout lines that were open, which each had 6 or 7 customers in front of us. I assumed it was a sudden rush of customers, but I assumed incorrectly. The two cashiers at the registers, bless their hearts, were at least 90 years old, and looked confused about everything. It was apocalyptically eerie how they would stare blankly at an item for a minute or two, as if trying to understand the item's place in the universe. After about 10 minutes of no one movie in the lines, a manager opened a new register, and 4 or 5 customers moved to that line, which did not move for another 5 minutes. At which point my son and I left. It was really weird and creepy. Two stars, instead of one, because it was quiet and they have everything you can imagine there.

I've been assisting my aunt with some backed up pipes, and required some PPE.I was unable to find any of the white one piece jumpsuits. They did however offer gloves that were advertised rip resistant.There were two boxes but only one of them was still in a closed state. The other box somebody had opened up and removed a bunch of the gloves. I left the unopened box.I tried Venom Steel for the first time.I was very impressed with their rip resistance. So much so that I've gone back to purchase more.The opened box was still on the shelf. There were no more unopened boxes.I approached and associate and asked if I could get the open box at a reduced price.She informed me that if the computer would allow her to do it with this particular brand that she would.So I was able to procure the remaining gloves for work.I wish they had more as I would buy more.I'm not been able to find them in their other stores.

This Walmart supercenter here in emporia City VA is trash customer service non-existent. I purchased a television at 9: 00pm I bring the TV back to return it because it's missing screws and I can't mount it on a TV mount It's 10:00 p.m. now they're telling me I can't return the TV because customer service is closed I have to come back tomorrow The store closes at 11: 000m WTH 😡😡😡😡😡 The manager that they have running this store needs to be replaced I've never been to a Walmart where I can't return something during there regular business hours and purchases something else.

Smaller footprint than most Walmarts but they have all of the essentials. The garden center was neat and organized. Busy as usual on a Saturday afternoon. I also noticed this location has power up stations for Battery Operated cars sweet.

I don't appreciate nearly chasing me down asking for my receipt as I'm leaving. With one single item and a receipt in my hand. Your employees should be doing their job at the check stands. I'm not a thief. Thanks for making me fee like one.

This Walmart is no longer 24/7 and hasn't been for years. Lately there have been very few cash registers open at any time making it take a long time to get checked out. They are leaning heavily on the self checkout but often those machines are breaking down or asking for employee assistance which defeats the whole purpose.

I was visiting during the Thanksgiving Holiday. This is the 1st Walmart I've come across that will not allow you to purchase black Friday items before black Friday. We don't come often and were using this time to get our nieces situated for Christmas. Majority of the items they wanted had to go back. Then on a separate visit we watched a store associate literally harass a lady that was innocently shopping. She followed her from isle to isle. We ran into eachother a couple of times and the store associate wasn't to far behind. We asked her if she knew the associated was following her, the young lady said yes that she used to work there and that the associate that was following her didn't like her, so she follows her to give her a hard time. We later go and check out and the same young lady was standing there with the police. At first glance I thought she was reporting the associate for harassment. I asked if she was OK she said the associate called the police on her because she didn't want the young lady in the store. I looked up and again the store associate wasn't far and had a smirk on her face. I could tell the young lady was embarrassed. I hope she presses charges. Not only was she embarrassed and harassed, she also seemed as if she was having a medical issue from the cause of all the chaos. She touched my shoulder and thanked me for making sure she was OK but her face was flushed. They did allow her to finish paying for her items. I would understand if the young lady was shoplifting but she wasn't. She was innocently standing there with all her items waiting to be checked out.

This Wal-Mart really needs to stay open 24 hours a day. Y'all also need to get the grocery pick up app. It would definitely be an upgrade if you did. Update 2024: They have grocery pick up and I am grateful for it.

Early in the morning , you can go in get what u want don't have to stand in long lines too pay .about 35mins. You are out good way to shop.

Chances are you will find what you are looking fir. If so, be prepared to wait in a line. Where are the cashiers? If you are pressed for time, this might not be the best option due to the lines at checkout. It would be great if the empty spaces where they baskets are pushed in are used for pickups. Give some of those parking spaces back to the customers. That process would also create safety for the workers. Until then, "obey the speed limit, stop signs, and customer crossings."

No one is never in the auto department. Doesn't matter what time of day. Half of the workers are lazy and somewhere hiding. If you need help inside store then good luck. Im inside of store calling customer service and watching them purposely ignore the phone. I could say more but im not wasting anymore of my time here. Worst walmart in Virginia. Go somewhere else.

Most employees and the people who shop here are polite. I usually find everything I'm looking for at this store. The store is clean. Also, it's not as crowded as the one in Peterburg or Roanoke Rapids.

I'm not satisfied at all. Their is nothing but NO SEEDED VEGETABLES OR FRUIT BEING SOLD, EVERYTHING IS GMO. THEIR'S NO NUTRIENTS IN GMO. AND WHATS WORSE IS THE FOOD IS SKY HIGH, EVERYTHING THAT SAY PLANT BASE IS FAKE. THE MEAT IS HYBRID/FAKE. ITS ALL BY DESIGN, ON PURPOSE TO GET/KEEP YOU SICK.
