I've call CVS in Emporia several time and every time I call someone hangs up on me. I'm glad no one is dying because they sure would if they had to deal with this particular location. Horrible customer service!!

CVS Pharmacy in Emporia Virginia at 306 West Atlantic Street has very rude employees who have disrespected me and I will NEVER EVER SHOP IN CVS PHARMACY AGAIN!! On Saturday, December 22, 2023 I went to CVS PHARMACY and I sent over $900 through MoneyGram and after I did my transaction and left the store the woman who was at the register working decided to say that she thought i was doing something wrong by sending someone that amount of money!! And she proceeded telling the other customers that I "looked nervous"!?? REALLY? Nervous for what? She talked badly about me to the other customers and I really think that was VERY DISRESPECTFUL! I WENT BACK IN THAT STORE AND LET THEM KNOW HOW I FELT ABOUT IT TOO. CVS PHARMACY I HOPE YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF EMPLOYEES YOU HAVE WORKING AT THIS LOCATION! YOUR EMPLOYEE THAT DID THE TRANSACTION GAVE THE WOMAN IN FRONT OF ME OVER 100$ MORE IN CHANGE THEN SHE WAS OWED, LUCKILY SHE GAVE IT BACK LIKE A GOOD PERSON! THEN THE PERSON TRIED TO GIVE ME ONLY $60 BACK IN CHANGE WHEN I WAS OWED $90. BUT I MADE SURE TO GET MY CORRECT CHANGE. I WILL NEVER EVER USE CVS PHARMACY AGAIN!!

No one in pharmacy knows how to answer the phone. Have been trying for two days to get someone to answer. I guess who ever is training the employees needs to include how to answer a telephone when they hear it ringing. Now the pharmacy is going to close at 6:00 PM . The pharmacy is just doing what they want to. Doesn't CVS have rules for the store to follow. Must not. Was told by someone at the 800 number for CVS to complain about my store experience that our prescription would be ready by the end of the day Tuesday. Guess what it's Wednesday and prescription is still not ready. I'm ready to go to Walmart pharmacy. You have your medicine in less than a hour.

Worst pharmacy I've EVER seen. Scripts can take over a week to get filled, you can't reach anyone via phone and I can tell you how many times I've picked up scripts with errors, such as wrong pill count. DO NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I've been there waiting and watched the techs having personal conversations while there are numerous people waiting to be helped.

Why does CVS have the authority not to fill my prescription after 30 days?? My Physician has called in my refill. My insurance has approved. This is happening every month. 3 times after accepting my refill, saying it is in ‘process’ then they put in my Patient Portal that this med is ‘out of stock’. My patient portal states it was filled 3 days ago. What is going on with this Pharmacy?? What gives ANY pharmacist the right to deny an approved refill until I am completely out of this med for 3 or more days?? I have been through enough with CVS Pharmacy in Emporia, VA, as many others have removed their account to another Pharmacy. Forget trying to reach them by phone, they do not attempt to answer & will tell you they don’t have time to answer the Pharmacy calls. They seem to think multiple trips should be made to pick up meds. I do not believe my med ‘is out of stock’. They would not have been able to fill 3 days prior & then discover it is out of stock. They are rude & WILL discuss my private information from where the pharmacist on duty is filling prescriptions.This Pharmacy needs to be investigated, something is going on which is not legal. They do not have the authority to deny meds approved by my physician & insurance, stating the prescription is in process & then decide it is ‘out of stock’.

The pharmacy not open on weekends. I put my prescription in 3 days ago and it's still not ready!! The company needs to come down and help these people. Ready fills let you know they are ready and when you get there it is not. I don't blame the pharmacist but cvs the company. They should be checking up on their locations. Sadly, our town doesn't have but 2 pharmacies. If you are new to this area, don't come to CVS.

Went in for a prescription for pain killers to be filled for a shoulder injury. After trying to call for over 30 minutes and no one could anwswer a phone (with 6 ppl in there?!?) pharmacist stated "can't do it today" "and maybe not even tomorrow" "I don't even know if we have the meds in stock". At 3 pm, there should be NO reason you cannot filla script same day and NO reason the pharmacist doesn't know what meds she has in her stock; or why she cannot look it up. Especially when it comes to narcotics, you would think it being closely regulated you would know off hand what you have in stock. We will be switching pharmacies ASAP.

This pharmacy is absolutely horrible, I was just on hold for 21 minutes for the pharmacy and no one answered, I hung up! This always happens and when someone does answer they have an attitude and cut you off while you're speaking. The staff in the pharmacy are so rude with the exception of Sherri,she is always courteous. The rest could use some retraining. I would give no stars if I could smh, I only hope they are better when dealing with the elderly customers.

Spoke with a pharmacist on behalf of a provider to figure out why a patient was not being given her prescription a week after script was sent. Pharmacist continuously cut me off as I asked questions to clarify the delay, was extremely rude, and simply refused to help me because, as she stated, "she did not have time to figure this out." When asked if any other staff was available to assist, she states, "no," and rushed to get me off of the phone. I had only been on the phone with pharmacist for 3 min.

I’ve been trying to get in touch with the pharmacy for about two days now to see if I have a refill on my prescription and if so I want it to be refilled . As I am on the phone with them for the second time today with no answer again . I called early today around 9 , 9:30 & I was on the phone listening to the music for about a hour . It’s already bad enough when you get there you still have to wait for your prescription!! && then the calls don’t even get answered . I would give no stars if I could .

Another month without my script. Flippant attitudes and refills require multiple trips and long waits for the pharmacist to do her job. Drugs are out of stock, more often than not, and they don't tell you that there will be major delays, so every month is a guessing game.They NEVER answer the phones anymore and you can expect to wait on hold for a couple of hours, if you want to know if your prescription was found in the system, in stock, or if the pharmacist bothered pulling it.Before anyone blames "COVID", the problem is clearly the CVS employees- just read their Reddit for a behind the scenes look at what the pharmacists and techs think of us lowly customers. They're heroes, ya know!

I understand that everywhere is short staff right about now, however integrity and having good customer service should still be something we all have when working in a place in employment. It is sad and disappointing that a place that prescribes medications for people who are in need for whatever health issue is going on, have to speak with disgruntlle employees as well as those who carry the title as a supervisor. If you are unhappy and not wanting to be at work, then its highly suggested that you find somewhere else to work at. I cannot submit without giving a 1 star and it definitely does not deserve that nor a half star.

I was told to come back and talk to the manager tomorrow morning because they were not going to fix the issue of giving the wrong type of med with no explanation for the brand or kind they gave. When I am the one who pays for my med. Lady name Julia Jones made it harder for the others who did understand I even spoke on returning tomorrow or when it was fixed correctly but yet she was not hearing it with no consultation having the others to think it was they fault to 11/10/2022

This pharmacy is hopeless. Insurance does not allow an early fill of a prescription but this pharmacy will take a week or longer to fill a prescription. They don't answer their phone and if you go in person "it's out of stock" or" its in the system".It's obvious they don't have enough pharmacist's or techs but their system is broken as well.

I pull up to drive thru and it says pharmacy services available in all lanes. Then you get to window and it says only cover testing in lane 1. By that time 2 other people had gotten in lane 2. So I had to take my 2 yr old daughter out of the car because they have 2 different signs about services in the drive thru!Lady was very apologetic but still had the inconvenience. Get your signs on the same page !!

This is probably the worst CVS pharmacy I've ever been to. They are very rude and slow. I had an issue here trying to get a prescription filled and the pharmacist was rude. Had it transferred somewhere else with no issues whatsoever. Do not recommend this place they are rude and unprofessional. I'd give zero stars if I could

CVS in Emporia is horrible for getting the prescriptions filled. Saying that, we have only two pharmacies in Emporia. We desperately need a third. That may help with the ridiculously long waits. I just go to the one in RR.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy on the planet. The few techs they have seem to be on thorazine, to judge from the pace at which they work. I have waited 40 minutes at the drive thru for a prescription, and have sat on hold for 37 minutes. If you live in Emporia, go to Walmart, fullstop.

This has to be one of the worst CVS's anywhere near. Not only is customer service terrible, it is just plain nasty outside the drive through. I asked them about it twice, the manager said they did not have time to worry about it and hung the phone up. We need a larger selection for pharmacy products in Emporia.

DO NOT get your prescription filled here. You sickness will have either passed or you will be dead before they answer the phone. Much less actually fill the prescription. Last three times I was given a time to pick up, and my medicine was not ready yet. Awful. Never again. Drive somewhere else, it will be quicker.

Yeahhh I’m not sure how everyone else had such a great experience but I used to work at CVS at the pharmacy staff here are not good. I’ve so far only dealt with them by phone (I’ve yet to pick up my script) and they really have done the bare minimum/nothing. I called to check in on one of my medications requiring a prior authorixá toon. A female pharm tech answers the phone and as I’m talking proceeds to loudly talk to someone else, then loudly in my ear says “hellooo helloooo”. I’m like “hi my name is blah blah, I’m checking on my script, my DOB is blah blah.” She says ok, lemme check, puts me on hold. Another pharm tech answers the phone, and I explain someone else was checking on the status of my PA. He says lemme check on that for you “yeah it says it still requires a PA, you should contact ur doc”. (I’ve also worked with an insurance company and know PAs should be completed w/n 72 hrs) So I say to him, can u re-run it? When was it last processed? He says “I mean I guess I can back it out and reprocess it”. (The correct answer was “Sure, bear with me for one moment while I reprocess it please”) which he does and the says it was last run 4 days ago. ... Now a GOOD pharmacy tech should know that unless it was run today... re-run the script. Anywho, I then ask him to fill my two other scripts. He says “they’re both filled at different pharmacies”. I say “yes I know. I’d like to pick them up at the same pharmacy”. He abruptly says in an obviously irritated tone “lemme check and puts me on hold”.They’re filled at another CVS. There’s nothing to check. Just have the other CVSs back out the scripts and fill them at ur store. It’s really not difficult. As a person who knows what goes on behind the scenes, their customer service is NOT good. Hopefully they’re better in person.

Hi I was at the CVS in Emporia VA at 306 west Atlantic ave and not only was i left waiting for like a half hour just to speak to the pharmacist but then after all that waiting she told me she could not sell me insulin syringes without a prescription, I'm from out of state so of course I don't have a prescription, besides you shouldn't need a prescription anyway, the lady working today at 5:00pm told me to try Walmart but the Walmart here has the same policy, I'm traveling and homeless and don't know what to do, guess now I'll just have rip open my sharps container and use my old dirty needles again, I hope they don't make me sick

Two trips through the drive thru to hear, "It's not quite ready, come back in 15 minutes". Trip three, I gave them 20 minutes while I went to breakfast. Text says it's ready, let's see! Really? 4 pills for pre-dental?

On hold for thirty minutes. As soon as someone picks up, they don't say anything or actually answer the phone. Instead, they hang up. Prescription not ready I got here. I understand being understaffed, but at least answer the phone instead of hanging up on your customers. This isn't the first time it's happened. Just another example of Emporia's finest.

Worst service EVER. Do not call because no person will answer the phone. Try it and see for yourself. I will say this is on CVS and not the staff(only sometimes), how about hiring more staff

The PHARMACY IS THE WORST I have EVER EXPERIENCED IN AN ENTIRE LIFETIME. EVERY TIME I NEED A MEDICATION THEY ARE OUT OR THINGS REQUIRED BY MY DOCTOR THAT I AM NEVER NOTIFIED OF. I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF MY PHYSICIANS AND CVS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEIR PROBLEM IS BUT CVS ALWAYS POINTS THE FINGER AY THE PHYSICIANS. MY INSURANCE REQUIRES ME TO USE THEM. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! HEAVEN HELP YOU IF YOU CALL. YOU WILL BE ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOIR EVERY TIME. HORRIBLE HORRINLE PHARMACY!!!!

Today We visited this store as my child was unwell due to long road trip & this was the nearest CVS we could find. Staffs are very kind & helpful. They helped us with right medication in this hour of emergency. I am earnestly greatful to them 🙏 yes I would highly recommend this place.

Went to pick up meds and the white guy with red hair stood there lying as if they didn't have anything sent from doctor when the pharmacy called me and told me my pick up would ve ready at 11:00 then he keep checking the computer like he really lost smh all he had to say was it wasn't ready instead he choose to lie in a customer face.

Need meds after leaving ER. Once again the pharmacy doesn't answer the phone after I called 3 times and waited 10 minutes each time. This is the worst store around.
