Staff was very accommodating and professional.Clean enough for $75, but the areas that really matter (bathroom and bed) were spotless. Few small crumbs on the carpet and scuffs on the wall. Nothing to impress the wife but you’re not going to get grossed out.Property seems secure, no loiterers wandering around.

Traveling from FL back to Mass and needed a place to stay over night. We usually stay at budget hotels right on I95 and we've seen our share of some we had to walk out of. This hotel room, while not the Hilton, was extremely clean and I felt fine and safe staying here. Beds were comfortable and staff were great! I would definitely stay here again! If your looking for luxury pay the big bucks. If you're looking for a place reasonably priced to stay for a night or two right off the highway this is your place. A lot around to get something to eat as well!

My wife and I use this as a middle stop in our travel back from Delaware to Georgia. The parking lot is lit up really well at night. I felt safe there. The rooms were good. Comfortable bed and the room was very clean. Yes it’s an older hotel. I usually prefer hotels that the rooms are inside of the complex. These rooms are outside or you drive in and pull up to your door. Usually I don’t stay at these kind of hotels. But this was good. The breakfast though was very bad. The eggs were very wet and grainy. The whole breakfast thing was lacking. But the coffee was good and so were the banana muffins. Would I stay here again? Yes I would. Just get breakfast at McDonald’s which is next-door lol. I give it a 3 1/2 stars at five.

My recent stay at Best Western left much to be desired due to the overpowering scent in the rooms. Unfortunately, the heavy fragrance was so nauseating and overwhelming that it made the experience quite unpleasant. In fact, the smell was so strong that the moment I walked into the room, I knew I wouldn't be able to stay.However, I must commend the front desk clerk for their exceptional service. Despite the discomfort caused by the room scent, the clerk was fabulous! They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. When I expressed my concerns, they handled the situation with professionalism and promptly refunded my money, which I truly appreciated.While the scent issue was disappointing and prevented me from staying, the outstanding customer service from the front desk clerk redeemed the situation to some extent. It's reassuring to know that even when things don't go as planned, there are dedicated staff members like them who are willing to make things right.Rooms: Heavily scented fake floral smell that’s overpowering and nauseating.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. My girlfriend and I were driving back home and needed a place to crash at 11pm at night. The service desk was okay but everything went downhill once we entered the room. The floor was dirty and sticky in some spots. The room door and bathroom were spotty and nasty. My girlfriend pulled hair out of the towel when she went to use it. The beds were itchy and one of the beds had a stain on the comforter and both the boards in the bottom looked nasty. It was one of the most unpleasant hotel rooms I've been in but we were tired and although I asked if she wanted to go somewhere else we stuck it out. We were so grossed out that we didn't even want to try the breakfast, we left as soon as we woke up.Rooms: Nasty and unclean.

Outside looks updated, but the inside isn't. Atleast room 116 wasn't. Bathroom needs updating. Barely had water pressure for shower. Toilet took 2 flushes to get a little paper down. Coffee maker was old and very slow. One cup took atleast 10 minutes to brew. No luggage rack for suitcase - we used the ironing board. 🤣 I'm thankful that we did have a comfy bed, fridge & microwave that worked and a warm room. 👍Might want to go back to checking the room before deciding to staying.Noteworthy details: A few restaurants are within walking distance.This hotel is very close to the intestate.

This hotel still needing some renovation. Coffee pot in room did not work, they didn't have and extra to replace, and coffee up front was too nasty to drink. Old non working jet tub still in the room, hair in bathtub. Door was hard to open and close/lock. I will say that the bed was comfortable, and was happy there was a recliner. The room was a smoking room, so I expected the odor. (I brought air freshener)

In all fairness this should have been a 2 star, but I am reacting to management response after I sent in a negative survey response, where they apologized for my poor room experience, marred by foul human body odor and unclean bathroom fixtures. I use BW brand when I travel by car but I will skip this location for a while.Rooms: Need upgrading

This hotel was just 'off'. The room smelled like baby powder was sprinkled everywhere. The fridge door didn't close all the way. When we asked for a room, the clerk just asked how many and did not provide bed choices.. We got 2 double beds, not a queen or king. The light by the bed kept flickering on an off. Really would not recommend this place. The only good thing was that the coffee was good!

This by far has been one of the cleanest well staffed motels I have ever been in. The Breakfast was outstanding with real eggs sausages not to mention waffles biscuits and gravy loads of fresh fruit not watered down juices Excellent lighting in the parking lots with security cameras in the parking lots. Will I go back yes yes yes and again. Well done Best Western Forgot to mention the room was extremely quiet with A fantastic channel line up on the TV I would have thought with all the great service they offer the price would have been much higher. We needed a pet friendly place VERY last minute while traveling home during a storm. The woman working when we arrived (around 2 am this morning) was SO NICE and made checking in without a reservation quick, easy and painless. Checkout this morning was just as pleasant. We encountered several staff members who were friendly and welcoming, which is much more than I can say for recent experiences elsewhere.We missed out on breakfast, but it seemed like there were some great options! The rooms were a little dated, but nothing crazy. There was a good amount of space, the fridge kept our food and drinks cold- we just needed to maneuver it to keep the door to stay closed. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, and while it's near a major highway and a truck stop we honestly had no noise issues. The beds were comfortable, we fell asleep with ease.No bugs, no rodents, no weird smells, the towels were clean, the toilet and shower worked just fine. I saw a lot of questionable reviews, glad we didn't let that scare us away.

This location is basically worn out. It is in desperate need of updating. I certainly did not expect a 5 star hotel for the price, however I did expect more from a Best Western. The carpeting was dirty in our room. The mattress sagged in the middle and there was very little water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The staff was nice, no complaints there.

My family and I stopped here for one night on a road trip. Check in and out was a breeze. Staff was friendly. Pulled in late and left early but from what I could see property and lobby was well maintained. Our room was fine. Floors could have been a little cleaner in the room but overall room was clean. It was fine for a quick overnight; we basically checked in, crashed, then checked out. For a motel I thought it was fine. I thought the price for one night was reasonable.

First, I will start by saying that I have stayed here a few times in the past. Good location and the room was serviceable. I planned on staying one night and then driving to New Hampshire on a Saturday morning. I used the bathroom and the toilet kept running so I shut the water valve off. There was a bug in the tub, another what appears to be some kind of water bug on the vanity. When I went to bed after sitting and watching tv, I felt something crawling on my leg. Another bug. It creeped me out to the point of not being able to sleep. I pulled the blanket off and turned lights on and finally slept for about an hour. When checking out, I was asked about my stay. Told the office clerk about the bugs ( with photos). She said “ I believe you and no need to see the pics. Says I should have asked for another room. It would not have mattered, because the damage had been done. I was so tired that I just drove home to South Carolina. One last thing. After booking was confirmed for a king size bed with smoking ( not requested) called the front desk and said there would be an additional 10 dollar fee to get a non smoking room. Really. Last time there. IMO. Since Covid, I believe there are so many businesses that over charge and under perform. Especially the hotel business. Pass the buck onto the consumer and cut basic services. Please do not respond with the generic “ we are sorry and your opinion really matters”. I chalk it up as a loss and will move forward.

August 2022 stay. Room AC unit leaking all over floor. Room extremely humid even with AC on. Carpet soaked. Bad odor in room. Bedside table drawer had debris in it. No desk lamp, room very dimly lit. Offered room change, but even though new room smelled much better and was a bit drier, it required moving to second floor and climbing stairs which is difficult for us, and there was a dirty sock on floor, there was no tv remote, and not all towels/cloths were there. So we stayed in the wet room. Both rooms seemed to be only surface cleaned. Night staff person was nice and tried to be helpful, but this hotel is going downhill so fast. This was our regular stop to and from the south a couple times a year, but I do not think we will be back. Not for a charge of $164 (why such an increase?!) for rooms in this condition.

This place is terrible, i rented 2 rooms. The rooms smell funky and triggered everyone allergy we went to store and get products to assist. Then, to top it off, both toilets were clogged, and we were told we needed to plunge it ourselves. They are privately owned and can not compensate me for the work they are giving me and the inconvenience they are creating.

After a 12-hour drive, my family was already tired so we decided to get a room in Best Western Emporia VA. We got lucky since all the other hotels were fully booked and we got the last room - Room 116. My son noticed a certain odor when we came in. But we were too tired to complain so I said don’t worry about it. Took a shower and put the kids to bed. As I laid down, I smelled a stronger stench. The bed wreaked with the smell of urine! Worst of all, the bed was still wet! I called the desk and Pam asked why it took us an hour to notice the bed but gave us a option to checkout and cancel if we wanted to. We definitely did. I wasn’t going to sleep on a soiled bed. We were told we would get a refund. Hopefully they do give our money back. We stayed in a Best Western here in Springfield VA before and had a great stay. But this time, we were really disappointed.

I we'll get this a zero but I can't I was going to drive through there and needed a place to stop for the day and was told that they do not rent to anyone but locals so if you're from a nearby City you cannot go there to rent a room because they don't like our kind and they don't rent to us because they say we are unruly and this sounds very much of discrimination but it's a two-star hotel so what do you expect. NOT COOL AT ALL!!!

I made a reservation thru expedia I called the hotel directly to confirm the reservation was made for a non-smoking room the night prior to checkin. At that time I spoke to a woman who confirmed it. After driving north for 12 hours I arrived. When I checked in I was assigned a smoking room. Brandon at the front desk refused to move me to a non smoking. He refused to escalate to a supervisor. He was obstinate and intentionally unhelpful. So then I called Expedia and Expedia called Brandon directly and told him to change it and again Brandon was obstinate and refused. The only resolution was for Expedia to refund me and then I had to go and find a new hotel at 11:00 p.m. after 12 hours of driving. It appears that all of the rooms are smoking rooms. the room I saw stinks like a dirty ashtray and was worn out, dark and dingy. People were hanging out along the balconies the stairways and in front of the rooms smoking and drinking making me feel unsafe. Plus the room was upstairs and was very difficult for me to get up there. Brandon told me to never use a third party like Expedia and only book directly with the hotel which I'm pretty sure is a policy violation so I've reported it to Expedia. Regardless of who made the reservation Brandon should have found a way to help. Instead Expedia will give me my money back and I will never stay in a Best Western again and I'll be writing corporate with this complaint.While I was standing there being refused help two other people came in with room issues being assigned the wrong room and key not working. I drove across the street to the Sleep Inn and I am so delighted their rooms are gorgeous and we're just fully renovated. The hotel has an elevator and security and is 100% nicer.Rooms: Horrible dirty and smelly
