Took my pups here to be fixed. The staff was friendly and the surgery was good. However I made the mistake and do not recommend booking one on a Wednesday. Apparently they close early which is cool but they gave me my dog back while she was still out from the surgery. They did give me detailed instructions but it just was kind of disappointing I paid nearly $500 and they couldn't stay an extra 5 minutes to let her wake up in a proper setting. The second one we took was not like that he was completely awake and all upon leaving. Otherwise Dr. And staff again we're super friendly and very good with our dogs.

The staff is so nice and friendly there. They also take their time and explain things to you. The doctor is also very nice. I feel so comfortable taking my pet there. I have moved 90 miles away and I still drive back to Emporia to visit their animal hospital. 5 stars all day in my book for the animal hospital of Emporia. .

I cannot say enough good things about this animal hospital. If your animals need help, call them. My daucshund had a spinal issue and was in a lot of pain, his old vet said "sorry, no appointments for 2 weeks", animal hospital of emporia said, "Bring him as soon as you can" I am a loyal customer now. Darby loves them ❤️

I won't advise anyone to use this place. l carried my Frenchie to this place for a C-section. All 11 of my puppies died the same day. They gave me all kinds of excuses for the cause of them doing so. I was asked to take the Mom and puppies home 1 hour after the C-section. If this is a hospital then why couldn't the Mom and puppies stay at least a few hours after. Disappointed and dissatisfied with this so called place of business. I will never bring any animal here again.

My dog Rosie was having itchy skin so bad & an ear infection. Dr Qingling Chen gave her drops for ears & she hasn't been messing with her ear since I put it in. Gave her another for itchy dry skin. Gave her that too but hopefully that will stop over night.

Great staff, great Dr, they don’t stay as packed as the vets offices in my area so they are always able to accommodate me in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

I rescued a dog that got hit by a car and my vet couldn't/wouldn't work her in, I was so disappointed 😞. I called her and they said to bring her in and that was a blessing. The dog is fine and I call her Miracle. I believe I may have found a new vet. Thank you to all of the staff for helping me out. God is good.Lisa

I'm not from Emporia, Va . MY 13 YEAR OLD Chihuahua was bitten by our 4 month old puppy and I was very concerned about the bite and wanted it looked at. My parents recommended this Vet hospital and they were able to see my chi within a couple of hours after calling that morning. I was very please with this small clinic. I

Our regular vet turned us away today with a sick cat that is a regular patient at that practice. They were "overbooked" I pleaded and offered to sit there all day if they would just please help us. "No we cant" was the answer. My wife and I really needed to have our baby seen today during normal business hours. The staff here was very understanding and told me to hop in the car and get there and they'd fit us in. We really liked Dr. Chen and her professionalism. It's a little further for us to drive but we plan on bringing the rest of our pets back and having Dr. Chen be our regular vet. I also like it that they let you inside to be with your pet and talk directly to the Dr. No more stupid curbside only like where we were going.

I have had a lot of dogs and cats spayed and neutered in my years but never have I seen stitches done as good as Dr. Chen has given my Chihuahua. I'm really amazed. You need a magnifying glass to see them. Thank you Dr. Chen.

Things are so much better now that the vets are fully open and you can go in with your pet. The new vet is very nice and knowledgeable. Prices for services are in line with other vets. My Great Dane is very sick and Dr Chen is wonderful. She is doing everything she can for my Sissygirl. Staff is awesome.

The people are nice the nerses are great the doctor is nervous around loud dogs not a good thing but overall very good gave me what I needed for my doggy at a reasonable price

They are great. My dogs absolutely love them and I have a great time talking with them as well. Not as expensive as other places and always try to work with you.. I would definitely recommend.

Wouldn't recommend. Diagnosed my dog completely wrong, said he had parvo. Took him to a second vet and they said he did not have parvo.

My teenager rescued a stray and I called vets in Rocky Mount and Roanoke Rapids to get it examed. Make sure he got rabies shot etc. The other vets were all charging double for shots and other services what Animal Hospital of Emporia charged. I couldn't have afforded it. Emporia's staff is super! I appreciate that they're affordable prices and care. Not to mention they saw our little stray same day we found him whereas others said they couldn't see him for week or longer. I didn't want to wait that long to find out if it had rabies. Felt so much better welcoming little guy knowing he had be vaccinated. Thanks again Animal Hospital of Emporia. You have earned our business.My adult daughter will be bringing her two dogs to you in the future because of the care you provided us.Keep up the good work. Putting pet care at reasonable price.

We recently moved to Virginia, so this was only our first visit, and it was for a nail trim and flea meds. But the staff was kind and caring. Our pup is a big, old boxer. She can't get around like she used to. The staff was more than happy to help me get her in and out of the car. It looks like we found our forever vet!

This vet has no patience at all with giving kittens a pill...he was extremely aggressive and rough and mean to my new baby!! However, the lady came in and did an amazing job!! Shes the ONLY reason I'll ever go back

I have been taking my dog to this vet since she was age 10 weeks she is now age 3 I have never had any encounters or bad vibes when taking her the customer service was always polite nice and caring since they now have change what appears to be the staff it is not the same the customer service I feel is rude one in particular her name is Amber I spoke to her at least three times on the phone and each time was not pleasant and her tone was very professional manner now the groomer who has been cutting my dogs hair for the last three years will no longer be there after May 26th and she’s been there for a long time that should say something . I will be locating another vet for myDog.
