The store is so much nicer, cleaner and better stocked then the one by my house. It's 3 miles farther but it's worth it. The staff are so much friendlier and nice. The one by my house won't talk to you and don't want to help or interact in anyway. Plus they are ALWAYS out of 50% of what I need every time I go in there. So I will be more than happy to drive a little farther 😊

Good store. Very nice staff. They have self checkout registers. It's a little far from my house, but I'd rather go further out because the employees are nicer at this Food Lion than the 2 food lion stores near my house.

Don't shop here very often, but it's a nice store, well kept and staffed. I was very impressed with this store's ability to flex with the number of shoppers in the checkout line. I was standing in a line of 3 with full carts, once the checkout began on the next customer the register next to me was opened to handle the increase. I was very happy, and I am sure other customers waiting in line were pleased. Lastly, whomever works in the bakery takes some time to make the pastries look picture-perfect. Finally, I may start shopping at this store whenever traffic on 95N makes my trip to Lake Ridge via the highway unbearably slow and infuriating.

Been in line for 11mins. Cashier checks me out, proceeds to text on her phone while counting change to me... there is a reason your a dying franchise, I pay more for convenience. Not to wait in line and count your out of stocks and be ignored.

Today my wife went to Food Lion and as she tried to get out of her car, a man puffing away on a cigarette got right up in her face asking for spare change. She refused and walked into the store and asked to see the manager. A clerk said he was “somewhere in the store” so she told the clerk about what had happened. The clerk described the man perfectly as if she knew what he was doing but did nothing. When she finished shopping and was leaving the store the man had moved from the lot and was standing on the sidewalk right at the exit asking everyone for money as they left. The activity is ILLEGAL and the guy was trespassing yet THE STORE DID NOTHING TO PROTECT CUSTOMERS FROM THIS HARASSMENT. SHAME ON YOU FOOD LION!!!

Went by today great service this girl gave. Notice that there were three other people standing at a corner while the line was long. They could’ve helped out the girl but I guess they seem not to care. Not coming here again. Ignorants and inconsiderate of the girl. These managers need to start learning how to manage. >:((

I generally come here strictly for the convenience. Most of the time the the store is stocked but the meat and produce quality leaves much to be desired. The staff is usually friendly. I just prefer to get in and get out.

Its one of the nicer and better stocked Food Lion's that I've been to. They have a small section specifically for gluten free products and foods. The bakery is pretty good and can usually get you anything you're looking for. The beer selection is one of the better in the area.

Wal-mart was my go-to for the longest time because the store was the closest and had everything that I typically needed on a day to day basis.Since I moved, this Foodlion has been my go-to for food and has not disappointed. The store is clean, well organized, and has a decent range of choices.

Food Lion To go - First time userThis is the very first time I have used this service and I thought everyone might like to know how it went…For background - I am typically a weekly in-person shopper so I don’t often do large runs. This run was normal sized with 38 items. I almost always buy from Food Lion because of it convenient location, and the entire experience usually takes me roughly 30-45 minutes.Web experience - the site is nominally ok with a few glaring issues like a clunky menu, on page advertisements (really aren’t I already buying something from you?), and an inept search function (ask me how many irrelevant options I got when I searched for hamburger helper… 157…). Overall the time I spent to complete my order was just over 48 minutes. That’s already 3 minutes more than if I went there in person (drive time included).Communication and accuracy - I grouped these together because this experience included a one hour and eight minute, near constant text message exchange with my in-store shopping helper. While I do appreciate that they asked me about the quality of the produce, helped me pick replacements for out of stock items, and were very pleasant in their speech. My total time now is one hour and 56 minutes. So it’s not really doing much to reduce the pain of grocery shopping, which is presumably why anyone would chose this method in the first place. However, as far as accuracy goes it was spot on, 100%, with the caveat that 18.4% of my ordered (and prepaid I might add) items were not actually in the store. Seriously folks, get an inventory system that ties to your website! You’ll save your shopping assistants (and your customers) at least 30 minutes of consternation per order! And btw, If you have to add an “items found” list to your order records then isn’t it obvious to you that your inventory system is broken?From park to pack - this was actually a perfectly acceptable performance, totaling 8 minutes, with a pleasant interaction and helpful hands. However, I’m not a fan of the paper bags but that’s minimal.Conclusion - a full 2 hours and 4 minutes of work to do something that normally takes me a max of 45 minutes… while it is true that I do hate grocery shopping, I don’t think I am going to ever hate myself enough to get my groceries this way again.

I have been a regular at this store and like the ease of shopping and selection of items. Their prices are pretty good too! But you have to pay attention to the prices that ring up for Manager's Specials, they don't always come up with the discount!

Decent grocery store - good for quick stops. Automated self serve checkout is available. Of note, the night before Thanksgiving, the manager personally assisted customers to cash registers so there was little to no wait in line. In my case when all cashiers were busy, he himself actually opened a cash register so I did not have to wait in line - really appreciated the great service during such a busy time!

This Food Lion is never crowded, friendly service, and the best prices in Woodbridge/Mont Clare for produce and goods. Small fruit and vegetables area with normal selection. Has everything I need at a price I can eat on.

OK I have a confession. Forgive me for I not know what I do. I think I am addicted to Food Lion. They are so neat, clean the customer service is just wonderful. I find myself going to all the ones in my area in Woodbridge Virginia. I look for them when I'm out of other areas. I just love going to the store and going up-and-down every row, just to see what I can find. OMG the clearance section is like Forest Gump said, you never know what you might find. It's like going through a box chocolates...Lol

Been shopping here for 20 years and have always preferred to shop here but over the last year or so, there is an employee (manager maybe) who profiles my fiancé and I EVERY time we’re in there. The last time, he accused my fiancé of looking suspicious when we were in self-checkout stating he was unsure of what my fiancé was “up to” then demanded to see his ID when he was not the one making the purchase.

I like to shop here; it's big enough to have most of what I need, but small enough that I don't have to fight crowds or park half a mile away. I just wish the cashiers didn't seem to hate working there quite much. They tend to be unfriendly at best, and surly at worst.

I want to like this grocery store because it's so close to my house, but they sell bad meat all the time. I got a family pack of ground beef and found that the meat grinder hadn't been properly cleaned, leaving bits of black, rotten meat throughout. I've bought chicken that was supposedly good, only to find that it smelled very bad when I opened it. While the "managers specials" are great deals, if they're selling bad meat that still has a few days before expiration, I can't imagine what the meat that only has a day left is like. I've resolved to shopping at Safeway due to safety concerns.

Seafood section is back!! The store is very clean and the aisles were neat when I went through. The produce sevtion was very fresh. The employees were friendly. You really can't ask for more.

Nice selection of foods. Good prices. Nice employees. Hopefully renovations will be finished soon. Parking spaces small but there are plentiful. Convenient egress and ingress to Rte 234.
