The meat spoils too fast. Every time I buy ground beef it spoils before its sell by date. I bought this on May 1 and had it properly refrigerated and by the night of the 2nd it was turning gray and getting a smell. Have had this happen 10 times in the past few months. It always starts spoiling before the sell by date.

I like this store overall. It's close to my home. I really loved the reduced prices on expired meats. However, the management came in and now they they don't reduce the price of expired meat; I suppose they just toss it out.I quit my regular shopping. thereafter, they made that decision

I go to food country because I usually have no other choice. Their prices, & all prices are so high I really don't know how they expect us single mom's with kids to feed to live?!It is heartbreaking. Their meat goes bad b4 the out date & so does some of the bread. It's definitely not the same as it was.

This is a clean store. Average prices. Not as big a selection as other stores. They have a reward points which comes in handy on free items and coupons. Shocking: They do not have handicap shopping carts. I think this is much needed.

Very good on prices! And, the manager is so nice! He doesn't just walk around or stay in his office - He gets in there & helps his employees if needed & isn't afraid to open a register to help make your check-out faster in case of a long line. He also asks if you found everything okay or need any help, & is genuine about it. He definitely makes the atmosphere a good one, & is a main reason I go there instead of somewhere else when in Duffield.

Always can find a bargain here. Outstanding deli. Have to shop sales. Deli has went down hill in the last few weeks because of a certain bad apple cook. Not as many good buys anymore. Don't know what's going on 11-1-2022

Many items on the shelves are past sell by/expiration date, you have to be careful. Items made in deli have been mislabeled. I brought this to deli and store managers attention when it wasn't corrected. Ice cream quality is hit or miss. More often than not the ice cream has crystalized, especially the Friendlys brand.

We stayed in VA. For our Vacation in the summer and Food Country was right across the street. So we went there alot for quick pick ups for our motel. I LOVE their tomatoes !!! The associatescwere great with my family & I. We will be in the area again this summer & I am shopping there again to bring home more of their yummy tomatoes !!!

This is a really nice small local grocery store. The village there is small, but this store is a giant to be a service to the citizens who live there - & the tourists are thankful for all the variety of products they need while visiting the area on vacation! KUDOS!

Miss shopping here regularly since I moved further away. Most of the prices are appropriate and affordable. Customer service is an area that needs improvement. Cashiers and baggers do not need to have personal conversation while ringing out customers. But that's easily over looked since there are great prices food-wise, and everything is easily found throughout the store.

The cashiers and stock people were extremely nice and went out of their way to find a particular item I needed due to one of my son's allergies. They were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

Good small grocery store, they have anything one might need, the prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores but not by to much. Their meat is the best, hands down. The employees are super nice and always so friendly.

I came in tonight to get a few items and went to check out. Well Jonathan was the cashier and was rude. He was eating popcorn chicken while ringing me up. Was to busy wondering about the register infront of him and to top it all off, stopped to look at a picture his buddy came in to show him. Very Rude! You have a customer infront of you. Focuse on what you are doing and most of all dont eat while ringing them up!

Decent place to get some groceries or items if needed while on the road. There are no restrooms available if needed while shopping that we seen but there is a subway located inside with restrooms. Staff seemed very friendly.

High prices, minimum selection of products, squeaky buggies/carts, friendly staff (one with a big nose that's been there for eternity) with dyed hair 😉. BETTER NOT STEAL BECAUCE THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY EYES IN THE SKY IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN! ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF DUFFIELD THERE IS A GREAT NEW LOTTO MACHINE ~ BEST PART OF THE STORE IS MACHINE BY THE DOOR. LOL 🎟🎟🎟WARNING: IM NOT PROMOTING ANY TYPE OF GAMBLING, BUT MAN O' MAN ITS FUN! We're always shopping here and I will say that I can get more than one bag of groceries for less than the food city. Plus it's a local place and friendly. I'm also going to be saying that they don't monopolize the market.
