Our fur baby passed away, so we wanted to help another dog in need. So we made a trip to look for another pit that needed us as much as we needed he or she!! So we found this boy!! He is so funny, and full of energy!! I didn't think I could love another dog as much as our last! He is good with children,other animals and people! The people at the shelter was very helpful. I'm glad they help these animals find good homes 🏠. At first I was annoyed with all the questions on paperwork but then realized that they want people to understand that animals are alot of money and your time.

I drove to Pulaski from Wytheville because a list of 10 Lab/Pit mix puppies were advertised. The trip had to be made because one of the male pups was named Abel, my deceased Father's middle name. A beautiful mostly black puppy with white tips on his paws and a white chest, was most happy to go home with me!Today, I had to lay him to rest. He has been hurting for a while with arthritis wreaking havoc. Abel had a stoke yesterday and seized all night. It was without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever done. My baby is at peace.If you have adoption records that go back 14 to 16 years, I would love to know when I adopted him. My name was Pamala Truesdale or Pamala Smith. I was working at the Presbyterian Children's Home of the Highlands in Wytheville.

They were very kind. The accessible is good. I don't like that it does euthanize animals. The animals are taken care of in there. They do welcome volunteers.

We have always enjoyed visiting this facility. The employees and volunteers work incredibly hard. And have been helpful in finding the perfect pet for our family. They have always provided a safe environment for the animals. I encourage anyone who is looking to add to your family to visit. You’ll leave feeling content and with a new family member.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The facility, however, could use some cleaning. The smell of animal waste is pretty strong and just smacks you in the face when you walk through the door.But....I did get to adopt a sweet little kitten 😊

Nice employees nice clean shelter they periodically help dog and cat owners with very low cost shots. One thing you should look out for cats freely roam around parking lot and they have no fear of dogs
