CAH has always been one of my favorite offices to go to or to suggest to other people! One of my dogs had to have emergency jaw surgery and they fit him in that morning and he was back to new by that afternoon! All of my dogs love seeing the staff and I can tell that the staff love what they do and they genuinely care about the patients. They’re always very knowledgeable and understanding about my concerns/questions. 100/10 definitely recommend!!! 🤩

Kind, friendly and considerate staff. They seem to genuinely care for the animals. Pricing is way better than anywhere else I've found. Also very well kept, very clean. I'm taking all my animals here from now on.

I took my cat, Lucinda, in for surgery after having a CT scan and an Ultrasound performed by them prior to her surgery date to ensure that she was a good candidate for her adrenal gland tumor removal surgery, which was causing her to have low potassium. She was doing so well with her potassium supplements I was giving her at home as directed to my local vet, and was her old self prior to taking her to that place. I drove 2 hours to get her there by 8 am. They assured me her labs were to be drawn prior, and they would call me after surgery so I could pick her up by 4. At 10:30 I got a call saying my cat was coding and the girl on the phone said they had “pushed potassium”. She died. I went right back and got there 2 hours later. When I got there I was met by the surgeon. I asked about the potassium. She insisted that she had calculated the bolus of potassium correctly. I asked about the infusion rate and she said “Oh yes it was correct” She denied that they had pushed the drug when I told her what I was told. I’m a nurse and I know how dangerous potassium iv can be and how careful you have to monitor things while you’re administering the drug or it will cause asystole! It cannot ever be pushed directly. I questioned the fact that she was on a potassium drip and died, never made it to surgery, which I could have understood better as a cause of death through surgical risks complications, but they never started. The vet insisted that had “nothing to do with it” and said it would not give me comfort to have a necropsy but the other doctor had offered to do it. I surely didn’t want them to cut up my cat. I said, “ Don’t you think the fact that her heart stopped while on a potassium drip is related?” Then the vet insisted that my cat “may have had cardiac issues”, or internal bleeding before the surgery but they did an $1100 CT scan prior to the surgery. I mean, surely they could see some abnormalities then. It was obvious there had been a problem with the potassium drip which stopped her heart. I call it grasping at straws, and other things I won’t say here. The bottom line is that I’m upset at this point mostly because the surgeon simply denied any responsibility. If I had not been a nurse and understood labs and medications, and physiology that may have worked. But I am, and I asked questions. It’s not like I was threatening a lawsuit! I just wanted to know how this happened! She simply emphatically denied any mistakes. I guess I was supposed to just accept it. But Lucinda was dead. I have been distraught over this whole sordid affair, and it has made me wary about trusting anyone in the animal medical community. They had no qualms charging me over 800 dollars for this, in addition to a total of $2000 for the CT and Ultrasound I had already paid them to ensure my cats safety prior to the surgery. The bottom line is you can’t trust people who cannot admit errors, it leads to incompetence. I’ve seen enough of that in the medical community. Afterwards I waited in the lobby with my Lucinda brought to me in a paper coffin, then 20 more minutes while they sorted my bill. I was crying my eyes out. A stranger in the lobby started crying and gave me a hug I was so upset. My cat suffered. I hate that I entrusted my beloved family member to someone who doesn’t have the courage to admit there was a mistake, whose sole answer was based on CYA. I’m sorry but a mistake I can forgive and work through, a lie I cannot. I have been Lucinda’s voice, and now I will let it go and let Karma do her thing. I regret that I left my precious girl there and promised her it would be ok. I am so sorry I let this happen. Be careful who you trust with your loved ones people.

They take care of who I love the most with 4 legs😉Calvary turned 9 this year and Community Animal Hospital has met our every need in these nine years, including major knee surgery as well as a few minor surgeries. We trust them to treat Calvary with gentleness and kindness when treating him. This was especially important during Covid when we were not allowed to be with him during his exams. Trust is so important. I highly recommend Community Animal Hospital.Community Animal Hospital has treated our Golden, Calvary for 9 years: Through two knee surgeries, yearly exams, tumor removals and now cancer. We can always count on them for the BEST care. We are very thankful for their expertise.

My experience was wonderful! My precious kitty was about to die and they saved his life. When we took him they gave us medication and directions on how to take care of him and told us he would be lucky to live and to come back in 2 weeks. It was amazing the outcome. Doing exactly what they said to do and giving him the medication they gave our kitty he was all better in 2 weeks. When we took him back in 2 weeks and he had already gained 3 pounds bc he had been losing so much weight. They are absolutely amazing!

Took my dog to be groomed by the only person that has ever groomed him and she got mad because he laid down and wouldn't stand up. Refused to do anymore grooming, not even cutting his nails, and said she would not take any further appointments for him in the future. You would think after 4 years she would know him by now. We followed her there from another vets office because my dog liked her. Very upset and will never return with any animal for any service.

Dr. nightingale is an amazing doctor and very knowledgeable. We had to have our baby dog out to sleep because she was no longer responsive or moving. She was very nice and made it a peaceful for our baby Banshee. They made a nice paw print and her ashes will be in a nice wooden box.

Took very good care of us in an emergency with our old pal Max in his hour of need. Our own vet did not. Our entire herd of puppers will be returning to them as our new vet. They were very caring, understanding and kept Max in mind. Thank you to your team and hope to see them soon under better circumstances.

This morning, our little 12 year-old long-haired miniature dachshund was gravely ill. He had a regularly scheduled appointment with his normal vet this morning, but when I called them to ask for guidance about his acute condition, they recommended emergency care. I called two places - the second one could not provide surgical services, if they would be needed, so they recommended Community Animal Hospital (CAH) in Dublin. The receptionist at CAH expedited our referral question to the surgeon on call. He said to bring the dog right away. Fortunately, we live 15 minutes from CAH's new location. Unfortunately, our puppy passed away just as we arrived. The doctor came out, immediately took the dog to a treatment room, and assessed his vital signs. After having two other doctors in attendance verify that our beloved doggie had indeed died, he offered to bring us a small, cardboard coffin in which to take him home. The doctor gently placed him in the box and handed him to us, saying with compassion, "I'm sorry for your loss. You don't owe us anything today." And with those kind words, we took our beloved doggie on his final ride in the car.

Called them desperately seeking some prescription cat food that my usual vet had run out of and had on order. My vet offered to send the Rx and I was willing to drive out of town. They cared nothing about the health of my cat—they refused to sell me the food even with a prescription I’m an emergency situation because I am not a regular client. If they care so little about an animal and a concerned owner I am glad I am not a client of this business.

My cat needed dental surgery badly and they got her in the next week. And since my cat had her surgery a couple of days ago she's doing amazing. I honestly can't believe how well she's doing and I am so thankful for Community animal hospital for taking such wonderful care of her. Plus the price was outstanding and so much lower than anywhere else.

I, unfortunately, have never had the opportunity to visit this vet's office under good circumstances with my animals. Today, I was hopeful about the treatment plan I was given for my furry friend. The two times I've been here the staff has been so welcoming and comforting. Dr. Nightingale is amazing and I can't thank her enough. She answers and addresses every problem. I'm so thankful to have her in my community.

After someone abandoned a kitten on our property, I called around to find a place to take her. They were the first place to see her right away. All my concerns were addressed and more. They found issues I had missed. They took the time to answer any questions I may have had. Then carefully explained all the necessary next steps, even offering a "kitten plan" which covers almost everything. Excellent service.
