This was quite the pleasant surprise to simply look for a good cup of coffee, with friendly people and great service, off the beaten path on our way traveling from CT to NC. We stayed for lunch, got dessert and the best cup of coffee to go, but not before exploring the place and all the quaint little, unique and local gifts you could find. Not to mention, the cutest tea stop imaginable, catering to groups for kids tea party events to wedding parties. We stopped on the way there and then also back again!

Kadence was our server and was great. Food was delicious. This picture is one my friend took but I had the same sandwich. It was huge! I had them put the pimento cheese on the side and asked them to add lettuce and tomatoes. No other condiments were on the sandwich, so I added mayonnaise to mine. It came with shoestring fries that were very tasty. Only downfall, there weren't a lot of fries on our plates.

Continues to be our favorite local spot. Jay has done a tremendous job managing the restaurant. The quality of the food is always fresh and delicious. Carrie and Brittany continue to be our favorites. Outstanding service every time we go . We look forward to the new specials each month. Finished by an occasional milk shake as we leave. We arrived a little late to get food and wanted snacks and to rent bikes. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs even though they were getting ready to close. We appreciated this because this was my friends and families first visit. The kids really loved the bike ride on the New River Trail. Beautiful setting. Arrive early to fully enjoy all this place has to offer.

The food was fantastic! To start, the girl sitting people told us 10 to 15 min, while there were countless tables for two people. Finally, after 18 mins of waiting and counting tables, she stopped talking to the other girls at the coffee bar and sat with us.But they must have a drink shortage, and they started a timer when told drinks were coming TOOK 15 MINS! Once again, the best food to travel and eat but service can definitely test your patience! Edit: After talking to the manager, she fixed the issue and we were very satisfied with the way it was handled!

Do not miss this place!!! First visited here 7 years ago. Glad it's still here and still the same. Amazing service, staff and food. The pimento burger is one of the best burgers I've ever had. Great coffee. Sitting on the porch in this late summer afternoon is nothing short of perfection. Plus, there's a lovely trail that starts just steps away.

My friend and I had lunch there yesterday. The food was absolutely amazing, our server,who's name eludes me,but she had the trainee with her,both were excellent, we never had to ask for a thing,they were so attentive. We can wait to come and enjoy again. Btw, the strawberry cheese cake and carrot cake we enjoyed for breakfast were to die for!!

Absolutely recommend. The food is always fantastic! I got the Deluxe Hen chicken sandwich, and I'm pretty sure there was a whole bird on there! Portions are very generous. Fries are *chefs kiss* so good. Service was impeccable, and all of the staff are very friendly, kind, and responsive. They also have very cool gifts available from nostalgic candies, to homemade jams/jellies, and locally sourced honey.

Burgers are phenomenal. The grilled cheese was only 2.15 cheaper than the burger so that sucked. The tomato soup was EXTREMELY small and very chunky....more of a chunky spaghetti sauce than a soup. If I come back I'll hafta try something other than grilled cheese. Grilled cheese and tiny soup not worth 20 bucks. No refills on drinks attempted by the wait staff...hope my green smoothie is worth it.

Interesting mix of of gifts to buy along with specialty coffees, food, candy and a fun tea room in an historic setting. Great service by Katy, and relaxing music too. Hats off to the person who buys for this shop! Interesting, fun and eclectic blend of merchandise in a relaxed, crowded setting. I appreciate your work.

Close to the interstate and absolutely worth it! Breakfast was delicious - I had a fried chicken sandwiched in French toast with egg and cheese and potatoes on the side and my significant other had a delicious omelet. The server was kind, attentive, and genuine. The setting was thoughtfully put together with a selection of cute little shops.We had stayed in our RV over at their farm through the HarvestHost system. It was a great stay and we appreciated a hearty and delicious breakfast before we hit the road again.

Located in a fully restored historic building, the Draper Mercantile has excellent food, wonderful customer service and an unpretentious family friendly atmosphere. Their pimento cheese spread is the best I've ever had in a restaurant! On the day of our visit, there was live acoustic music making for a festive and memorable experience. The adjacent gift shop has a diverse and tasteful assortment or gift and food items to choose from as well. Relaxing on the large front porch after our meal was very nice.Parking: Plenty of parking. Well mantained.

Wow!!! We stayed here through Harvest Host and was a delightful surprise. This is exactly the kind of places we enjoy, peacefulness, beautiful, sunset, and a great breakfast. Cute little town where you can rent bikes and ride along the New trail head, or you can browse the cute little shops and sip tea on the cute patio of the tea shop. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

A great overall experience for sure! 5 star atmosphere!! Food was really good and so was the latte. Had the pimento burger which was great - needs a “sauce/condiment” IMO to make it 5 stars - but really good nonetheless. If you’re passing by on I-81 - DO NOT MISS THIS HIDDEN GEM!!

OMG this place is not to be missed. Scrambled to get there before closing on a Sunday and the owner was so welcoming he invited us to dine in rather than just get take out to allow them to close up. The chicken salad was fabulous, and you MUST have the fried pickles! The shop is quaint and adorable and the entire place is sparkling clean. Only regret is not getting there early enough to explore the rest of the village. Looking forward to a return trip!
