The staff at Walgreens North Dinwiddie are awesome. The pharmacy staff, Ron, Judy, Brian, Melissa, and everyone provide excellent customer service. This review, I hope management reads: the pharmacy needs additional staff so that both drive through windows stay open. Customers need to be informed that the drive through is for drop off and pick up, it's not to ask a bunch of questions and argue about insurance, go inside and help keep the flow of traffic moving in the drive through. Management NEEDS to clean up outside, the lights are covered with spiders, cobwebs. The perimeter is covered with trash, the drive through hasn't been power washed in years. KEEP Walgreens clean on the inside and outside. Trim the shrubs, help customers feel safe while on the premises.

On January 25, 2024 there was a lady working the cash register from Richmond Who’s customer service Was horrible. She was on her phone the entire time and I asked her about a product in the store. She stated go try the dollar tree. Since there is no dollar tree and then County and obviously I went to her store for convenience… I asked if she was talking about the Dollar General since we have nine of them, lol. She stayed at the Green store. Not only has my medicine orders been delayed or wrong altogether. This young lady, with the face caked with makeup needs to be . removed from our store. She is disrespectful And rude. The longer I live here the more I wanna move away. I sure do miss mom and Pop stores… I especially miss good quality customer service.

The pharmacy is no longer like it use to be. The staff is overwhelmed with work and can be not so polite. Everything is rush rush. If you try and ask questions you get yes or no answers or we can check on that when you get here. I get texted saying they can refill a Rx and after I ok it, it still is not ready for days. I use to love going to this location even though I am 25 minutes away but the quality of the service and the attitude of the employees has gone down hill. We are moving our Rxs to another pharmacy.

Technician Ms Collins very rude and disrespectful tonight, giving Walgreen's a bad rep. Ms Judy is number #1 , just doesn't get any better, EVERYONE should follow her techniques with customer service and communication.

You guys need to hire more staff at your pharmacy they are always swamped. Im also sure they are stressed as hell and looking for better jobs because they are always swamped. Wouldn't wanna stick around for that 40 hours a week either.

I would give this place zero stars. The pharmacist made it their mission to call my transfer pharmacy to let them know information they never told me. They will always place a prescription on hold for weeks and never notify the patient. They claim they do not accept out of state medications and can never provide the policy that states it! I’ve been without my medication for three weeks and they will quickly make you pay high prices out of pocket before reevaluating with your insurance. Delay in care is their pedigree! Report them immediately!

This used to be the best place for customer service not the people but the processes are TERRIBLE! Prescriptions are never available, I have gone to another local pharmacy (not near this one for my meds I really need) and was told I can call around other Walgreen to see if they have it. The last I checked I thought the pharmacist or pharmacy tech does that at least within their own chain! Also one prescription popped up on this handy app saying it was ready, I paid for it. Then I see the medicine was cancelled!!!??!! So I call and was told it was not available (so the app is a joke?) and I have to wait until my money in the bank says complete before I call back again to request my money refunded back to my bank!Oh I have another- had a medication refill for 90 days I only received 82 days note I understand why if they run out of meds and will either credit the rest or tell you. Fortunately I have a strong medical background and noted that this is a physician’s order the order says 90 days so if one cannot fill the order the patient needs to be informed just not a laced into the bag with no explanation. When I asked no one could understand why and why the pharmacist placed no note so that med will be taken to that other pharmacy as well.If you do not have a clinical background one must really be aware of things such as this and pay attention.

I had an outstanding experience with the pharmacy!!! I called as soon as they opened and albeit they were extremely busy preparing for today, the lead pharmacist tech went out her way to help me locate a prescription I desperately needed. Words cannot express how thankful I am for her help!! Thank you Dinwiddie team.

I will say that the drive thru should be for quick services. Like a bank or credit union. People be at the window for 30 minutes and lines never move. They are ok otherwise

I was in the store 10713 to shop for some vitamin and medicine and household needs for me and my kids. I was in there for 10 mins and I was sweating it was so hot. I did speak with someone named Lawrence and he apologised for the heat and then helped me back to my car with my bags because my 2 year old got so hot she was fussing. I was letting you know about my concern regarding the heat especially since people are there all day working.Thanks kindly

Very Poor Customer Service. I couldn't even get the Pharmacists name that was providing the information that I was asking for. I needed a new Vaccines be card and they told me that they didn't have enough to issue out. It's a piece of paper. It could've been verified thru the system. They were being wired and rude. The pharmacist wouldn't come to the counter nor would the cashier tell me their name. After asking me the name of the person I spoke to at the other location. Then you have the audacity to not give the pharmacist name. Very poor service.

Brought my mom to get her first dose of the COVID vaccine and they turned her away for not having her Medicare card. She told them she’s been waiting for her cards but she’s been going to them for years and her information would be in the system. The pharmacy tech (I believe her name was Angela) was incredibly rude and said “I need your physical card to get your new numbers to run it through the system.” My mom explained to her that she had no idea there were new numbers but she was waiting on her cards. The pharmacy tech continued to rudely tell her she couldn’t do it and to “come back with a mask and a Medicare card.” Obviously we left and she called another Walgreens closer to her home (would’ve gone there but they didn’t have enough shots) and it took the pharmacy tech there less than five minutes to look up her new Medicare numbers and add them to her profile. Now, if she could do it, why couldn’t the pharmacy tech there do it? And why did she have to be so rude about it? Needless to say, we both walked away angry. I can’t believe they would turn away someone trying to get the COVID vaccine, especially with you know, a global pandemic and all. We scheduled an appointment at the other location for tomorrow, THEY were wonderful and very accommodating(Walgreens on South Crater Road.) Will never go back here again, pharmacy is a joke.

If not for Judy, I would have switched pharmacies by now. Last night, I stood at the pharmacy counter for 10 minutes waiting to pick up my prescription while the pharmacist and tech reminisced about their favorite Christmas traditions, completely ignoring me. Today, I've sat in the drive-thru, as the only vehicle, for over 10 minutes waiting for ANYONE to notice. I can clearly see the pharmacist and 4 techs and still nothing. The pharmacy department is a joke.

Every time I go to the pharmacist it’s always a problem . How do you bill my insurance for 90days worth of supply and give me 21 days worth ? So when it’s time for me to pick up my prescription I can’t because y’all billed it wrong .

I moved to dinwiddie months ago and the pharmacy has always been a little off with their customer service skills. The male pharmacist was completely rude when inquiring about my mothers prescription who is 75 years old and just short answered me then he realized he was being rude, I guess, and pretended to be nice. That's just one instance. There also is an older lady with glasses and short brown hair who pretends to be nice and is extremely just rude and can't fake being nice even being paid for it. She's unhelpful and makes it very clear she doesn't want to be there. They put wrong dates on prescriptions and confuse those who take the medicine in thinking their pick up date is one day but it's a totally different day. I get my medicine filled every 30 days. My bottle says June 27 but couldn't fill it til the 30. Why would you fill it the 27 if it can't be filled until the 30. Very confusing. They also refused me on my out of state drivers license when taken every time before this certain day. The older pharmacist man obviously was upset at me personally because I had called and was out of my medicine because they put the wrong date on my bottle and I guess they assume I just over take my medicine when In fact they can't put a correct date on the bottle to begin with. So I had to ask my friend to pick it up for me and They asked her what my middle name was. My friend said no one else was asked their middle name. They also had a cashier who works in the front working in the pharmacy and he had told me I couldn't get my medicine because it wasn't 30 days. It was 30 days and he was wrong so I had 4 calls that day to finally end the conversation just to be told I am right and I can count to 30. I have seen a teenager working and as well a child who probably isn't even 10 years old behind there working with medications. Its a mess so much so I got Rite Aid to transfer my medicine to them who they called me to tell me they got hung up on 4 times and was told to call back so not only did Rite Aid call me to tell me that but to mainly tell me my medicine wouldn't be ready as she thought. THAT'S BECAUSE SHE CARED AND IS DOING HER JOB. I will never go to Walgreens ever ever ever again. They need customer service classes and if they can't work with people find a different job. What they're doing isn't working for them. Only thing keeping them afloat is the most wonderful woman there who I do not remember her name but she works drive thru and is a beautiful sweet soul who was always friendly. She I will miss and everyone there needs to learn from her. But you can't fake genuine care and she just was blessed with that from the Lord. I wish I could remember her name but she has dark hair and dark skin. Wonderful woman. Only one who helps. Period. They do not care about their clients. They forget who employs them. The people who need prescriptions filled. They aren't there for anyone else. Get it together and hire new people before no one goes there anymore and it's not a good look having children doing adult work without pay just because y'all grownups can't work like you're supposed to. What if they got into the medicine and got really sick or something horrible. Didn't know Walgreens let children work in a pharmacy. It was thanksgiving or Christmas eve. I'm sure they'll do it again every year. Seems like a norm there. Go to rite aid or any other pharmacy period.

The staff is beyond rude, disrespectful and ignorant!!! They whispered about me behind their masks!!! They had over a week to fill one prescription and did not bother to call me or my Dr to say they didn't take my insurance!!! Also I inquired about a second MMR for my granddaughter who is 6 and needs it for school entrance and they said she was too young!!! It is required for kindergarten!!! You cannot attend public schools without 2 MMR unless you have some type of medical or religious exemption!!! I told them they better call the VDH and ask them about requirements!!! What idiots!! I glad they are not filling my prescription because I doubt even the pharmacist can count past 1!!!

Everyone in the pharmacy was very helpful and Susan was quick, smart, and good at her job. Also the girl at the makeup counter was very nice. I got to get my shopping in and when I was finished my name was called. Thanks for a pleasurable experience Cox Road Walgreens!

Made a scheduled appointment for a Shingles vaccine and when we got there 15 minutes before our appointment time, they told us it would be 45 minutes to an hour. Even with a scheduled appointment. Poor customer support - Will never go there again.

Not very happy with the pharmacy services. Stopped by earlier today to pick up two prescriptions and was told one was ready and the other was not. Did not want to wait at taht time so I told the pharmacy clerk I'd return later. Went back 4 hours later and was told that only one script was ready, the one that wasn't ready earlier. But the one that had been supposedly ready earlier was not ready now. I was told I needed to wait another 15-20 minutes for that script to be filled. When I asked why I was called and told it was ready when it actually wasnt, the clerk said those calls come from Corporate and they don't have anything to do with them. Sounded like a lot of BS to me. I left without my scripts and feel like they didn't care about the confusion that happened. Not very pleased with the service and I'll have to decide if they deserve my business or not. I hate to have my time wasted.

This Walgreens is below average. The front of the store is cluttered, but the people working at the front seemed generally nice. The pharmacy, however, was terrible. Long lines, rude costumers, slow employees and I discovered several stolen items.( Half-empty boxes shoved behind items on the shelf.) I do, however, love that they have two Redbox machines out front.

Walgreens are usually vey good. This one has issues. Papertowel dispenser in bathroom is not great. Old school style that forces your clean hands to use the dirty crank handle. The pharmacy staff was pleasant enough. But the worst thing was that I really wanted a diet pepsi and they were out. Unforgivable.

I called beforehand about the covid vaccine and they told me they took walk-ins and there was no need to make an appointment to get the vaccine. I went to the pharmacy and the man said they didn't take walk-ins, regardless of what they told us on the phone earlier that day. I'm disappointed in Walgreens. Go to Rite-aid instead.

We had to submit our prescription three times over 6 days to finally have it filled. Then we showed up when they said it would be ready and it still wasn’t ready. So we waited some more and finally got it.

Don't bother making an appointment for a Covid vaccine. If people "walk in", they get seen before you - regardless of appointment status. Just walk in. No advantage to making an appointment
