This is one of the nicest food lions around. It had everything we needed and then some. They have weekly sales. The store is nice and clean and the associates are very helpful. The prices are very reasonable. We shop here about twice a week. Sometimes even more. If you can't find something, they will help you find it. I love their weekly sales. I highly recommend this food lion. I give them five stars.

The manager Michelle does not do a good job at running this store. she treats her employees like dogs and expects them to smile and be friendly 24/7 when yet she works the front she doesn’t smile or even say hi. She calls herself a manager but she is lazy and a terrible person. she is the embodiment of sloth and gluttony she makes her employees miserable.

This Food Lion is consistently out of popular sale items, particularly sodas. I always have to go to a different store to find them fully stocked. It gets frustrating. Management needs to do a better job with inventory.

The parking lot of this place sucks. In front of the store is the entrance doors and 3 lanes in the parking lot. First lane is a Fire Lane and the last 2 lanes are for east and west traffic within the parking lot. People will commonly PARK their car in the Fire lane and do whatever they want. I ride past them and they sometimes sitting in their car looking down at a phone. The other day a very large and tall white pick-up truck was parked in this fire lane near the front door. And my worst NIGHTMARE almost came true. A little child ran out the front door and into the lane of east west travel. I could not see the child until the last second. Because of the huge white pickup truck parked in the fire lane beside the buildings entrance. I have complained about this to the managers multiple times. They told me that they commonly go outside and tell people to move that are parked in the fire lane. I go to this Food Lion ofter and i have never seen anyone making any car move out of the fire lane. I think its a case of the store is too afraid to tell customers to move because they dont want to upset the customers or dont want to lose them. They dont want to lose any money. The parking lot and especially the Fire lane at this place is a nightmare.

The young stoned cashiers and drug dealing outside the store should really stop! This store used to be so nice!Now look at the center it’s very disappointing to see this part of town slowly riot away.

This Food lion 🦁 is a great place to shop. They have fresh fruits and produce every time I go in there, and that's nearly everyday. The employees are always working and willing to help. My hat's off to the Management crew for a job well done. I would highly recommend this Food Lion 🦁.

The holiday rush is on. Check the store endcaps...they are the shelves at the beginning and end of aisles. It seems to be the place where our holiday go afters are being placed. Sale items are placed their too. The deals are placed out in early mornings in the meat department. Buy the managers specials and freeze them.

OMG the Westgate Square Food Lion in Petersburg, VA bakery.SHARON absolutely was the best. I was trying to get a birthday cake (had to be whipped icing.. lol) delivered to my daughter. Sharon made that happen. Was so kind to go above and beyond. Even added personalization within a jiffy. Looks so yummy!!! My daughter already received it was just as much as a surprise to her. Thank you Sharon!I can't thank you enough also to Jonathan with Instacart delivery. He was just as amazing. Cooperating together in getting cake picked up. Just wanted to say thank you again so much for the outstanding customer service (and I'm 2hrs away). If ever in area I will definitely stop thru to say thank you.Food Lion Manager, please give this acknowledgment to Sharon. She truly helped me, and I hope she receives some extra appreciation for that. Meant a lot to me as a Food Lion customer for yrs up at a different store. Nice to be able to call on other locations and receive great customer service.Thanks again. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023

The assistant manager (Niecie) always goes above and beyond and is knowledgeable about all aspects and departments and should be recognized as employee of the decade... I've spent years as a district manager and area manager and have seen her go way beyond her duties..

I love this location. The staff are very friendly and will assist you if you need help. The are polite and have great mannerism.My recent experience is why I’m leaving this review. I came in and had an issue with a Western Union that needed attention. Michelle Fox the manager here went above and beyond to fix my issue. She took action quickly and got the correct results in a timely manner. She made my experience at this location even more grand! Thank you Michelle. Thank you Foodlion. Great job!

This store was very low on stock. They didn't have one single bag of soup noodles in the store, not even gluten free! The girl who checked me out was friendly, kind, and bagged my groceries correctly. They were out of a lot of items on my list so I gave them 2 stars.

One of the best Food Lion locations around. Clean store. Good customer service. Great management. Parking lot in need of cleaning service but it’s not outside that is the bigger issue. I want good service, fair prices and speedy, friendly checkout. This store definitely has it. Good job

I'm 52yrs old and shoped food lion for 52yrs. My mom loved food lion and i do to. Shoped several locations as an adult and love them all. Never seen one dirty. Keep it up food lion this girls family loves you.....

The only negative thing I have to say about this place cannot just be said about this place. A lot of grocery stores you go into here lately have shelves that are not always full. Positives about food Lion in Dinwiddie are that it is a quicker checkout time. Friendly service, and convenient when traveling in that area.

The new set up makes my shopping A little more difficult at times but the employees typically seem upbeat and always eager to help just makes my time well spent. Hats off to new management 😉😉 truly can't find anything to gripe about!!

A very nice young man putting carts away helped me load my groceries without me asking. I am handicap so this was a wonderful gesture. Store is looking good. Too bad the manager can't get along with the vendor that delivers Famous Amos cookies. I have asked for them several times,but they don't stock them😢

I shop at this Food Lion more than any other Food Lion, and that is only out of convenience. If there were one closer to me I would go there. This Food Lion, most likely is packed. What's worse is its setup and size. Its older so it does not have the extra space at the produce area, aisles are closer together, etc. Again, makes it frustrating to shop because of how packed & busy it always is. I will say that its usually clean, bathrooms, meat area, etc. Staff is a 50/50. I've literally known some of the staff in there for years and those particular individuals are respectful & helpful when needed. On the other side of that coin, I've experienced some of the most disrespectful employees EVER! And majority, NOT all, but majority of the younger staff, have NO personality. There is no greeting or look of interest and/or happiness at all...smh. Honestly though, that's usually my experience with that age/generation anywhere I shop at. If your in a hurry, dont stop here go somewhere else, other than that, its so-so.

They have really great customer service! Love coming here! ~2019: Food lion upgraded to have chicken wing bars. I tired it with a friend of mine. Maybe it was the time of day we went, but the chicken was really hard. They have upgraded and I love that but I didn’t like the chicken wing bar

Omg...this place was awful this afternoon. Was asking a guy about meat that had a sale by 1-1-21 (today) & he looked at me...moved a different piece of meat & then just walked away. 🤯 then the only words the cashier said were "do you have an mvp card"...no hello, thank you or even a response when I asked for something to not be put with heavy Spaghetti sauce jars. Never in my life. It's right by an ABC store, a Chinese restaurant & other stuff so the parking lot is madness because everyone thinks it's ok to park in the fire lane & go get their liquor...now just think if it was YOUR loved one trapped in a store & someone was blocking the path of the fire truck 🙄🤦‍♀️
