We love this place so much! We hit it up every time we are going through Dillwyn! The food is cheap but good. And the icecream is delicious and always huge! Friendly service. And they accept cards now! No indoor seating because its more of a drive up and eat in your car type of place but there are some picnic tables too!

I’ve been going here on and off since we moved to Dillwyn. It’s a great place to get an ice cream cone or a quick handmade burger. It’s best to call ahead and place an order because sometimes the waiting can be way too long. Something that bothered me recently when I was there waiting for my order was seeing the back of the drink machine vent - it was filthy - like it’s never once been cleaned. You can’t help it see it as the back of the machine backs up to the window. Seeing this made me wonder what the inside of the drink machine looks like. I don’t know who owns the place and I’m not bad mouthing the place just noticed this recently and wonder about the cleanliness of the whole operation..

Dillwyn Dairy Freeze, not Tastee Freeze, is one of my favorite spots to frequent when I am down at the Virginia Nazarene Retreat Center!!! Food is yummy (try the Ribeye Steak Sandwich or the Oyster Box 😉 Their ice cream is top notch! One of my favorite desserts anywhere is here, the Boston Shake (half shake on bottom & half sundae on the top)!!! I almost always get the Strawberry Boston Shake 😋 They have a delightful Staff to top it off 😀

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING I EXPECTED TO GET FRESH COOKED CHICKEN AND FRIES I SHOULD’VE SPENT MY MONEY AT THE GAS STATION IN TOWN THEY'VE GOT WAY BETTER FOOD AND AT LEAST THE CHICKEN IS FRESH AND NOT FROZEN TYSON CHICKEN STRIPS ONLY THING FRESH HERE WAS THE CAN OF COKE FOOD MAY HAVE BEEN GOOD 15 YEARS AGO BUT ITS WENT DOWNHILL OBVIOUSLY I GUESS THAT WHAT I GET FOR THINKING MY HOME TOWN RESTAURANT WOULD HAVE SOME GOOD FOOD 🤮🤢🤮

This place has gone terribly down hill. Went last night and ordered almost $40 worth of food. Get called to the window after waiting for 15 minutes to be informed they are out of half of what we ordered. Then had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the food they did have to be ready. The fries were cold and bitter from old grease, they were out of cocktail sauce for the fried shrimp and the ONLY thing worth paying for was the milkshake. Should have asked for our money back but we were so disgusted and didn't feel like waiting any longer so we just threw it all out and left.

I absolutely love this place. The only reason I have it a 4 and not 5 is because sometimes the wait can be a bit long on good orders. But overall they're the best in town...my fav is strawberry banana milkshake and strawberry sundae with extra juice 😋

Don't bother. Went on a Saturday and stood in line for so long we left and even though we were behind one other person. They took the order ahead of us and never came back. Lame. It's like they didn't even want customers? Weird.

Good Food, but a very long wait!!!! Especially after the tractor pull which was just a minute from here! And the rain come on quick and poured buckets for atleast an hour.. my friends waited for almost an hour in the car for their food after standing in the long line to order as for me an the crew in my car we went to McDonald's a minute back just beside track. Lol but everyone was RAVING over the GREAT FOOD

Cute little place! It reminded me of bowling alley food. Ice cream is great. They were sold out of the chicken box. I was told their fried chicken is great so I was disappointed to not get to try that but hopefully next time! It was very busy but the wait wasn't that long and we ordered a lot.

Love their Great BLTs and vanilla shakes. Lots of folks get their generous size cones. Go back in time as cash only and no electronics just show a hard working friendly staff that gives quick service even when they are busiest. A convenient community meet and greet spot.

The young woman that assisted us seemed more annoyed that we were there than happy to help. My wife asked a couple of basic questions which were largely left unanswered or we were given very confusing answers. I can deal with poor customer service. What I can't deal with is poor hygiene or unsanitary working conditions. When my sundae was leaking over the top of the cup, she decided to take a dirty rag and not only wipe off my cup but the ice cream as well. Weirdly, she didn't even try to hide this, but did it directly in front of the window and in my direct line of site. I choose not to try my ice cream.
