This place was absolutely awful. It was absolutely nasty when we went in. The 4 dogs that were in box sized glasses were curled in a corner twitching. They looked sickly. They had no toys , no water or food, they were living in their own dried up poop. They looked pitiful. One was priced at $2,000. If I could I would have gotten all 4 and found them a good home. The chinchillas had no water or food and had a humongous pile of poop on both sides of their cages. The poor bunnies were trapped in a cage about the size for one bunny but there was 4 in it with a bag of food placed on top. The snakes were in a small tank especially for their size. All they had was some newspapers and a bowl with a rock sitting in it. They had sores all over them. One of the workers was messing with the hamsters and was hitting it with the little plastic houses all because two started to irritate each other. The poor fish ... the tanks were absolutely horrifying. They were so nasty you could barely see the black light fish. The one tank that had one clown fish in it was so green we couldn’t even see through the tank. My heart aches for the poor pets at this place. This place needs to just sale pet supplies they are in no place to car for animals.

This place is all about the $$. They leave the animals in the crates for days at a time without letting them out to exercise, There were no toys in the crate and the health of these animals is questionable at best. I was told that all vaccinations were current, they were not. My vet also informed me that the pet I purchased had a bad ear infection. Over time, I have noticed that they have dogs that are nearly a year old and still no significant drop in price. I can only imagine the behavioral and socialization difficulties a dog of nearly 1 year would have after it has only known a box. In the end, I don't feel that I purchased a dog, I feel that I rescued it from a miserable life. I will never step foot in World of Pets EVER again. However, the only redeemable quality is that the staff (not the owners) seem to care and are friendly. As for the other areas of the store they need a lesson in cleanliness. Upon entering the store you'll be hit with stink. The place is clearly in need of an overhaul.

My review is actually years late because I haven't been in this store in over 3 years and would never go back. I was mistreated when I purchased a rabbit years ago and had an issue with the animal. I spoke to the owner on the phone and she was nice "At First". She told me to see her personally when I came back but when I returned to the store, she would not help me because she said "i am selling a 1000.00 puppy. I told her I would wait and for some reason that bothered her and she told me another associate would help, but i insisted that i wouldnt mind waiting. She raised her voice at me and was very rude, i guess she since she already had my money. I was so angry and embarrased and her husband came out to see what was going on. It was one of the worst days of my life. I was so upset i cried in the store and my daughter watched everything. I filed a complaint with BBB but not much was done. Hands down the worst business in Danville.

Poor care of animals, fish tanks are dirty, snakes are poorly cared for, puppies have no room to play. The employees told a friend and me that we had to be 18 to hold the puppies and that the puppies were too young to be brought out of the glass cage. They just didn't want to deal with us, because they knew we weren't going to buy them. The snakes are 10-14 feet long (2) and their cages are way too small. They are not shedding properly also. Over all they don't take care of the animals well and don't want to deal with customers unless they are buying.

HORRIBLE.It's one thing to miss small things, and not clean as often. But when your entire store reeks, your animals are very poor taken care of. Including two snakes with scale rott, cuts, and absolutely disqusting tank. Chinchillas showing signs of ear infection, bald patches, and had no food OR water. Fish were most likely riddled with deseases with how disqusting their water was they live in.... I could never recommend this store. I wish it would close !

I think the staff could be more friendly but all in all they are real nice! They have been grooming my mother's dog and they do a amazing job on him. As for the large snakes yes they could use more room.

Very poor at caring for their pets. Snakes don't get proper treatment and many have scale rot and haven't shed properly. Very dirty aquariums that seem to never be cleaned.

I like that WP reminds me of the fascination I had at the old Riverside Shopping Center pet store Pet-Go-Round, a place with all kinds of animals to see and pet. But this place is unsanitary and stinky. I had one of the big pet stores tell me they don't recommend this place because they don't care for their animals well. I felt so bad for the dogs and cats. Caveat emptor!

When it comes to dogs the place looks kinda legit which is understandable seeing how that's where most of the customers head to first...as far as reptiles and fish go the place needs to be shut down...it's disgusting straight up filthy... reptiles with disease she'd and poop all over the tanks...and as far as fish go I dont know much about fish other than they live in water but I sure the water isn't suppose to be cloudy or green... something needs to be done about that

Only rating one star because I can't go any lower. This is not a place that anyone should ever do business with. I can't hope that the commonwealth steps in soon to take care of these animals better than this place.

I had never been in the store until the other day the bad smell is the first thing that hits you,as I walked, I suddenly slipped on a pile of water ,a big pile it was near the dry food the lady came over said what happened I told her I fell she said what did you pour in the floor ,I had nothing in my hands I explained to her and she saw the big pile of water, I left the store ,then went back to ask her shouldn't she write an accident Report ,she said for what I told her for my fall,she said what fall, I explained to her that I couldn't believe her ,she came over when I fell,and she wouldn't write a report , only took a piece of paper and got my name,A rude , person she was and I will never go back to the store again ,the animals are not being taken care of
