I grew up eating at this restaurant with my family and supporting this family owned restaurant. I moved away to NC years ago and was visiting family so I decided to let my husband try this little gem. I loved the bread and red hot peppers that they use, I haven’t found another restaurant that serve these peppers so I was pleasantly surprise to see that they were still served with the subs. They have pretty good prices and specials and still family owned which is not always the case for so many restaurants still surviving today.

The Romi's Subs Experience ( Drive-thru Edition). On this day, I was in Danville, and someone suggested that I go to Romi's Subs. This person was a local and told me to "call it in first." However, not being from the area, I needed to see where I was about to eat for myself. When pulling up, there was a car ahead. I was curious as to where the intercom was to place my order.Nevertheless, you have to wait your turn to place your order at the window. Let me add this into the narrative. Inside is not open, and the drive-thru is the only recourse to order food. So I ordered their salad with grilled chicken, a sweet tea, and a sub for a friend of mine. While I waited for my food at the window, the drive-thru line grew.I saw a car get out of line and drive off due to the wait.Once home, I thought the salad was ok. However, I probably would have been the car that left due to the wait if I had not come at the right time. I can't believe in 2022; drive-thru establishments are still functioning without an intercom. At a time when people want their food fast and hot.Yet, would I return to this place if I lived in the area? I am not sure if I would. The wait was a turn-off, but the salad was ok. But the food was as good as any other sub place minus the delay waiting to place your order and receive your food. Nevertheless, the locals seem to love this place and know calling your order ahead is the best thing to do when eating at Romi's.

My husband loves their Philly cheese steak subs and fries. Great service and friendly staff. This place has been in Danville, VA since I was a child. It's a great place to eat!

The food is amazing. My husband got a toasted ham and cheese, extra mayo. Their bread is addictive. The sandwich was perfectly toasted/grilled. I got the tacos and we both got fries. The best, perfectly salted fries I've ever had and the tacos were really delicious. The man who took our order was so patient and kind and made sure our order was right from the start. We'll never stop eating here!

My Husband and I got tacos and I also got French fries, the Best Fries I've had in a long time. We didn't go in so I can't reply on that. The food was good,yes we will go again 😋

It's not the best place to eat or the worse please to eat. It's fair. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and it was bland. The meat tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all. If they were to tweek a few things, this place would thrive in my humble opinion. As you were.

Honestly I pick up hotdogs and sides from Romis for another family member who is very pleased with the food. I have never eaten the food, so I cannot personally say anything in that regard. Coworkers love their taco salad.

Their drive through window looks better but I still saw 2 dead flies. The window use to be greasey and nasty. They cleaned it up some but it still needs work. Get those flies out the window. You nasty! I changed my mind for the food cause it still look nasty!

Food here is super good, especially the tacos. I do however recommend getting the food to go, the building isn't much to look at. Staff is very nice and respectful and service is super fast.

Nice and friendly atmosphere Plus they will go out of their way to serve you. Their Subs are out of this world. Come one come all, you will really enjoy their food. I know I do. So give it a try and come out with your family to enjoy the food.

The food was terrible the steak and cheese was. Bland and the cheese was sliced cheese cut into strips. Higgly disappointed because the word of mouth was good. I spent just over $21. For that much i could've had a great sub at Firehouse Subs.

Romi's has the best hot dogs and burgers. The combo specials are amazingly inexpensive. The food, including fries are hot when served. The order is always correct. Always.

I've been dining at Romi's Subs for years now and even though I've moved from Danville Va. I still eat there every time I'm visiting family or friends I make a point to stop in and feast on one of their superb subs!! Best ones around hands down!!👍

Very family oriented restaurant. The owners know me by name and know my order my heart. I make sure to visit this restaurant every time I am in Danville to support them. They deserve it!
