Very large space with lots of quality antiques. It is very crowded and there is a lot to see. The prices are exorbitant even for the quality of antiques available. The shopkeepers also hovered and made several comments about how we needed to purchase and not just look. While it was an impressive antique shop, the atmosphere is one that would make me not return. Definitely not a space friendly for those with mobility issues either.

The owner Robert is a disgustingly rude and horrible old man. WORST ONWER IVE EVER SEEN!!! I love antiques and antique shops, NOT this one! The prices are good but the owner will be extremely rude and if you’re younger than 55 do yourself a favor and just don’t go in. His late wife Lou, would have been very disappointed in the way he runs HER store. I have been told (by Robert) to cut my hair so I could see the items!! Also have been watched by Robert himself so i didn’t “steal everything” along with overhearing racist rhetoric!!!!! If you rent a booth here you should know that Robert is extremely limiting your sales with his constant deplorable behavior. GOOD SHOP!!! TERRIBLE OWNER. BEWARE!!!

I’m so glad I stopped in here! I’m from Cincinnati and was visiting family and I think the prices were very reasonable and they were willing to cut a deal on any item! There was so many cool pieces. I think there’s a huge difference between thrifting and antiquing and they had beautiful things priced accordingly!

The owner Robert is a racist and rude!! My fiancé and I visited this store about 1 month ago and spent close to $200. We love antique stores and enjoyed visiting last time so we went back today. My fiancé asked to use the bathroom and he said “we are not letting you people use the restroom”.I went to ask a lady who worked there and she said sure and was showing me the way to the bathroom and as we got to the bathroom Robert was standing there and told the lady I couldn’t use the bathroom. **Important to note that we both used the restroom at our last visit when we asked another lady whom was helping us!!Will never go back into this establishment. There is no place on Earth for Racism.

We were a bit reluctant to visit this Antiques Mall based on all the recent negative comments, but decided we had some time while visiting Danville, and we would see what all the negativity was all about. We found a packed-full store with friendly staff. Prices were to be expected. They did check in with us frequently as we shopped, but I didn’t see that as intrusive, just helpful. I saw several people making purchases and even negotiating with the owner in a reasonable way. We are in our mid 60s, but our son who lives in Danville is in his mid 30s and considers this HIS favorite antiques store. Our experience was pretty positive. Glad we stopped by. Give it a try!

I find it very puzzling that the reviews are saying the owner Robert is rude and racist as me and my girlfriend are an interracial couple and we had a great experience with Robert and the staff. Since we are from North Carolina and decided to take a trip up to Danville, we stumbled upon Lou’s Antique Mall during a drive around after discovering Langhorne House was closed, all I have to say is I’m glad I visited!

I’ve visited Lou’s many times, only twice since they moved and the first time at the new place the owner was very rude but I blew it off and continued to shop. Today I go in with my spouse and just about anything we stopped to check out he had to ask if we wanted to buy, which got old really quick. Then he asked if we’re twins and we say no we’re not and he tells us well one of ya are uglier then the other. We blew it off and continued to shop then he tells an employee out loud to keep an eye on us a few times. At that point we were done being insulted and left, with prices that high on basic stuff just because it’s old it’s just not worth the harassment. If you’re younger than 50 you probably won’t be too welcomed.

Amazing collection of high quality furniture (mostly) and other collectables focused on the late 1700s to the early 1900s. Many of these were well documented and researched. The prices reflect the research: they know the value of what they have and I would not expect a "find" of some undervalued treasure. It would be a better store for finding the one of a kind item that you were willing to pay whatever it was worth for. For this, I would have given it a 4 star. I took a start off for the staff following us around the shop reminding us that "everything is for sale" and that this was "a store, not a museum."

I found some nice pottery, dishes, bits of jewelry, and a beautiful pearl beaded small clutch purse here. Will go back for some nice unique deco pieces for my home.🙂

My Husband and I were in there today (2/4/23) The owner is one of the rudest people I have encountered in a while ! I have been sick this week so I wore a mask to be respectful to other's! He made a comment that only ugly people wear mask!!! Well in that case you definitely need one because you are ugly inside and out!!! I have purchased quite a few items from here over the years, but I will never visit this business again!!! And after reading Your reviews I think a lot of people feel the same way!

Was planning to visit this antique mall, but after reading the numerous reviews that all say the same thing (busy-body employees who follow you around watching your every move and an owner who sounds mentally unstable), I have scratched this place off my list. I'll take my business and my money to stores that practice good customer service and allow you to leisurely browse and shop at your own pace.

Second visit here and the last. The entire antique mall does have very nice things BUT I was here a year ago and upon entering was greeted and followed by a woman employee while the owner stayed behind his counter. At first I thought she was being helpful but she followed us around the entire place making small talk the whole time. When we got out of earshot of the owner, she tells us sorry he makes her do this to prevent theft. Today a year later, same scenario, but different employee. Even the owner was wandering around, in the half hour we were in there we got asked 5 times if we were doing alright. Left and bought nothing and won’t be back. If you plan on operating a small business in a fairly small town, and complain why your business is bad, maybe you should consider how your customer service skills are. I antique mall visit all over the state and have never been creeped on like this place

Awesome stuff but the staff are annoying, accept for Lou. I like to shop in peace not get asked how I'm doing or if I need something every 10 minutes. It's weird and creepy to be asked the same question over and over. It must be the prevent thieves or something tactics but to regular folks that just want to shop and spend money it just makes you want to leave and I soon did, not even looking at the middle of the store which is a labyrinth by the way. I'll not be back, nope! Plus there are areas where the drop ceiling is so molded the stuff under is damaged and smells heavily of rot, do better folks.

On Feb 4,2023 my wife and I went into this store and my wife was wearing a mask and we walked past the owner and he made a comment to another customer did you see such and such on TV saying only ugly people wear a mask. Well buddy you need to wear a bag because a mask want cover all that ugly you carrying around. I will never step foot in there again. I hope people read this and stays away. You don't deserve to have a business being rude. Which my wife isn't ugly in no kind of way

So much stuff, most of which was reasonably priced and the owner told us like 14 times if we were interested in something they could do better on prices.. Although the workers/vendors were super friendly and helpful, we were stared at and followed around quite a bit which we found comical because they're notorious for that..It's a really big place with a lot of workers, all of whom will approach you within the first 5 minutes of your arrival..Centrally located with front door parking..

Lou is a rockstar! This place had lots of gems to be found. We went on two separate days. The first day just to look and see they checked in to see if we needed any help but no pressure. The second day we came back with another person and they again asked if we needed any help and said no and they didn't pressure. We decided to look for some specific items for a friend and they were super helpful. We said we think some of these items might be more than they are willing to pay. She said you don't know, Lou knocked a little off for us to make things work. He was pleasant, friendly and appreciative! He even took a selfie with us before we left to go back to our home state. 👍😁 Stop in and see them!!

Went in this store today, knew what I needed when I went in, but also wanted to browse just to see if maybe I wanted something else. From the second I walked in the door I had the owner follow me for a while and watched me like a Hawk. He said "Can I help you?" I said "No sir, im just browsing" He replies with "well that doesn't pay my bills." I blew it off, kept looking around. A woman employee comes up, follows and watches me for the remainder of my visit.Found exactly what I was after. However, I didn't buy because ive NEVER been treated this way in any store. I can only assume it's because I'm young. There were other shoppers, all older. They were not watched. If there were different owners I would have spent several hundreds there today. I seen several things I would have been interested in. Being stereotypical doesn't pay the bills, being nice to all customers pays the bills.

Great place to find great antiques, and the staff is top notch! Prices are quite affordable for pieces that you can’t find anywhere else. Every time I go, I find something new. Highly recommended.
