This is a decent grocery store and tends to be of a better quality of choices than the other locations except for S. Boston Rd location which is also good

Last night, I went to Food Lion on W. Main around 6 pm, which is the usual time I visit. Nick is by far one of their best employees. He's consistently interested in how customers are doing and is always helpful and genuinely nice.I have witnessed some unusual incidents in the store before. Once, a couple accused Nick of being racist because he couldn't give them cash back at that time. On another occasion, a woman held up the entire line while her companion went to check the price of cherries. She thought they were $4 total, not $4 per pound as the sign indicated. She then rudely said goodbye and walked away.Yesterday, however, I saw something you don't see much anymore. An elderly gentleman was $2.51 short for his items and offered to put something back. Nick kindly said that it was okay and paid the balance with his own card.Food Lion is a good, basic store, with appealing sales. This particular location is usually clean and well-staffed, and most employees are polite. While I wish the store offered more in terms of a deli, bakery, etc., overall, it's a pleasant place to shop.

The food Lion fundraiser feed me thing trying to take money off my Instacart card two orders in a row. I hit skip each time and it tried to charge me $5 each time.

Cashier scan their MVP saying they scanned the store MVP..... Next time it happens let the dam store pay for it because I'm dam sure not going... And she do it every time when you say something she lie and act like she scan yours look at receipt her MVP number on there next time you are sure to pay if you scan you dam card!!!!

Very surprised at how kind the cashiers are. I've been to a lot of food markets and had set cashiers. But the actions of these cashiers really stood out to me. One in particular is Lush. I noticed I grabbed lettuce instead of cabbage and he went and got the right one for me. Above and beyond service.

This is my favorite Food Lion location in the city. It's got great employees and it's always neat and tidy inside. Employees are always willing to help you locate an item if you need it. Good sales and good quality food. Try the Cha-Ching brand. Great items for a lot less and every thing I have tried is as good or better than the national brands.

This Food Lion has quickly become my go to grocery. During the height of the pandemic they kept the shelves stocked to the best of their ability. Certain items are priced well below the competition and you save even more by presenting your MVP card at the register at check out. By the way that service is free. The employees are all friendly and answer any questions I may have. The store is always clean and the produce is beautiful. As a coffee connoisseur I love the different varieties of coffee they have. The store can become quite busy at certain hours, however most of the time I'm able to get in and out. I would have given five stars but there are maybe one or two employees that won't part their lips to even say good morning but other than that this is a great store to shop

The employees were wonderful!!! I am a paraplegic but I can drive I just cannot walk.. The manager that was working, his name is Chris,has brought one of the scooters out to me two different times. Today it was raining and he still brought it out and then he takes my groceries and put them in my car for me.. I absolutely love ballou Park food Lion.!!!!

We always go to food Lion now. Because it's a whole lot nicer than Walmart. Walmart looks like a cheap Warehouse. Pretty much it is plus the people at food Lion a whole lot nicer.

I know you can fix things by learning but it seems none of these ignorant people who work there are able to do that. Don't forget 2 + 2 is 4.👍 Lots of bad reviews like the one about them needing to work at DMV but I'm not sure if they're smart enough to do that.=/

Wish the FL's carried the same items. One has it the other doesn't carry it at all. Like this store nevertheless. Still my favorite.Kroger will be here soon, only shopping for nongmo/org because Kroger I don't like from past experience.

Oh my goodness! The remodel of the store is awful!! Everything is too crammed up & crunched together! You cant even get through the dang produce dept! If they're trying to stock, you can forget it! There is no room. The whole front end is crammed! I don't plan on going back to this store. Shopping was way too stressful.

I really love this Food Lion because of the staff! However the prices are high, which is weird when the one on Westover is so much cheaper and they are consistently running specials

I understand they are trying to help everyone during this pandemic and are usually swamped trying to get customers out in an orderly manor but what I witnessed today was just unsanitary. They had people walking in and out without masks on and one blatantly rude customer going up to employees and customers coughing right in people’s faces with no regards for others safety. I understand some people will refuse to wear a mask but he was out in the open full chest coughing all over the place and no one said a word. It was just an overall terrible experience today.

The store is clean and neat. Good prices. However, as I went through the check out line, I noticed the cashier texting on his phone. Unless he was scanning a product or bagging, he continued to text. I found this very disturbing. He was not focused completely on his job. I am very surprised that a manager allowed texting while on the job. I must say he spoke respectfully to customers but I was quite annoyed by his texting.
