This place is highly sentimental to me to begin with as my papa used to bring me here all the time when I was younger and I'm 25 now and he passed away at the age of 70 a few weeks ago. I went for the first time in years last night and was legitimately sobbing at the memories it brought up for me; the ice cream was great and the people were nice and it looks cool since they remodeled but my favorite thing to get there used to be the Oreo earthquake I don't know if y'all still have it or not but I'd like to have it if it's on the menu. I got the caramel cheesecake blizzard and it was yummy

I was raised close to the original Dairy Queen. There is a DQ hut less than a mile from my family home in central Ohio. I was pleased to see a DQ in Danville Va. we entered the location and it smelled so fresh and clean. Like literally fresh and clean. We ordered a hot fudge sundae. By the time I had paid for the order, it was ready and made perfectly. I asked the employee if she was aware of where the original DQ was located. She kindly said no, then addd “But I know a lot of the DQ history and began pointing out histories of DQ and particulars concerning this location. She made me smile. She was very pleasant and her attitude was uplifting. We ended our conversation with the photo that I have uploaded today with this review. 5 star and thank you working in this location.

I have several complaints about this place. Ordered a banana split months ago..I asked for extra strawberry and chocolate syrup..paid extra and they didn't give me extra. Just today I ordered something, and she didn't give me my change...not to mention they keep closing I guess because lack of employment.....but that's there fault several people I know applied and I don't think anyone got hired.

As much as I love Blizzards, sometimes it’s a hassle to go to this DQ. It’s nothing but kids working here, who act like they don’t even want to be here. In the drive-thru, they are constantly texting in their phones or playing, laughing and joking with their other “kid” coworkers. When you ask for a cupholder or top for your ice cream they get an attitude. They tell you to pull up to “Park 1” because somebody messed up your ice cream while mixing it (how hard is it to put flavors in a machine and push a button to mix ice cream?) and why do you have to pull over to “Park 1” when there is nobody in the drive-thru behind you? I can go to DQ two days in a row and order the exact same thing, i.e. a cookie dough blizzard, one day it will be nothing but chocolate ice cream (it will look like nothing but chocolate milk) and cookie dough pieces and the next day it’s vanilla ice cream (white ice cream) and cookie dough pieces. And since this is the only DQ in Danville, why is it not a DQ Grill location? Sell something else besides hot dogs and potato chips…oh and now BBQ sandwiches???

I have never had bad or unfriendly service at this particular Dairy Queen location. My orders have always been correct. Service has always been quick as well. A trip to this town always ends in a Dairy Queen visit.

Almost always get our orders right. Ice cream is good, hot dogs are up to par. Service here are usually very quick and friendly. Wish they had a slightly wider food selection though.

Poor customer service, serious failure to follow directions applies here. They don't care to listen to how you want your order and when their mistake caused them to have to remake my order the attitude they came at me with was unbelievable. If i order a small chocolate chip blizzard, why would you bring me a small chocolate chip COOKIE DOUGH blizzard with a large side of attitude, because y'all can't follow simple directions and made it harder on yourselves but the attitude the MANAGER exhibited was childish and uncalled for. Simply LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.

The inside was nice and clean. We were going to eat inside but the staff was mopping half of the store and the other side was pretty full with customers. So we decided to get our dessert to go. I had the chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and we received quick service. It was definitely nice to have a delicious cold treat on a very hot day.

Haven't been in a while, and used to have a good experience here. Ordered two small soft serves in cup. Very small, looked like kid's size. Fine, but was charged about $3.50 ea (totaling around $8 with tax). Thought that was a little high, but let it go. Went back a week later, ordered chicken bites, Mr. Misty and same small soft serve in a cup. Food was good, but I noticed that I was only charged $1.99 for that same small soft serve. So I called and explained that I think I was overcharged on the previous visit (about $3.50-$4). I asked for a complimentary ice cream to make up the difference. The assistant manager, Dhwani, said she could not help me without a receipt (for the previous visit 1 week earlier). I asked to speak to the manger, but was refused; Dhawani said that manager was not available and did not give me a time to call back. I then asked for the # for corporate, and I was refused; Dhawani said for me to look it up via google and that she didn't have it memorized. Let me add, that I was also made to pull ahead to wait extra for my most recent order, and that chicken was brought out separately from ice cream; I had to ask about the ice cream and then was told, "it's coming.") I have reported this incident to corporate and hope someone will follow up to make it right. In the meantime, I'll go elsewhere for ice cream.UPDATE: Owner called, apologized for service (though this was not the main problem), tried to explain mischarge, and offered a couple soft serves next time I go. As for the (self identified) "assistant manager (or possibly "manager" [I can't remember]," who gave me the name "Dhawani," which I spelled back to make sure I had it right, the owner had no recollection of this employee. She asked me to describe the employee who served me, and still she could not pinpoint this person. The manager then asked me for the time of my visit, and make/model of my car, so that she could "check the security cameras." Regardless, as I explained, I cannot be sure that this is the same person who answered the phone. Thus, I am still concerned about the possibility that a (self-identified) "assistant manager" would give me an alias.

Ariana B. provided the best drive-through experience ever and similar to resorts overseas. Many employees in service businesses do not care about customer service and you can tell by the other D cues and fast food chains that you go to give this girl a raise and fast track her to management or I will hire her myself I need people they care about customer service and show compassion like Ariana. I am glad that I live closer to a dairy Queen now The only problem is this dairy Queen is not a full menu dairy Queen so please keep that in mind before you want to run through there and get you a cheeseburger or something like that they only have hot dogs and a certain chicken selection but they do have all of their blizzards and sweet treats

Went inside for 2 dipped cones. Waited patiently up front for my simple order. Saw 3 other customers who ordered after me get their sundays and blizzards. I had to ask about my order, and then it came out promptly. Service was friendly but very slow. They somehow forgot my order. Once we got our order, it was delicious.

It was okay I had a strawberry sundae and my daughter had the puppy chow and some chicken bites. The food was hot we did have to pull over to wait for it to finish cooking but they had it out pretty quickly the young lady that was working at the window however and taking orders was not very polite or welcoming other than that it was not a bad experience. I don't understand why people that work in customer service don't understand what service with a smile is you can hear it in your voice when it's not there and I appreciate people that do this for a living because I have for years. I hope that she's not like that all the time because sometimes things get to us and it happens to us all but if it wasn't for that I would have given five stars for sure. And I never got to thank you. That's just politeness.

Amazing service to compliment the great food...!!! But, to top three night off the conversation about football was just as good... By far the best Dairy Queen I've ever been too... We even got there right before they were closing and still got treated great... Our family was also impressed with how supportive of our troops they were there...!!! An amazing experience! Every one of the staff went above and beyond. They made us feel as though we were valued. The price was good and the food was excellent. But the restaurant really was clean and comfortable. Definitely going back and highly recommend the location. Cannot say enough how great the staff was, thank you.

Visited from out of town. Ice cream tasted fine. Nice place BUT the staff left a lot to be desired. There were about 5 people who were just hanging out jaw jacking with the staff. So basically there were 4 staff and no customers and getting service took a few minutes. If people like to walk in unwelcomed to a place and stare at the employees while they wait to be served, then this place is for you. This place will eventually go out of business since they don't give an attitude to draw in business. But hey, some people like these kind of places.

Literally the nicest people working at this dairy queen. It was also 10 Pm, so the fact that they were so kind was amazing. The girl at the window was so nice. excellent service!
