Store was very clean. Only complaint is that ot was not stocked very well. Just the basics in the vegetable isle. Meat prices were very good but not stocked. 3 hams in the store and they were all spirals. The meat selection was sparse

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everyone knows Food City has the best quality and freshest meat. They clearly make a big effort to source quality, and somehow still offer at the best price possible. Chuck roast for $3.99/lb, chicken thighs or legs for $1.29/lb. It boggles the mind how they can offer quality at a good price lately. But they do.

A big outfit with lots of food items with average pricing. If you look in the "bad" meat department-the meat is not bad but reduced in price-you'll get a good deal if you happen to walk in when they have loaded it. I always look in that section first and the bad produce section for fruits and veggies. I shop cheap as I can since I rely on food stamps.

In North Carolina we have Food Lion, but when we are in Virginia we enjoy shopping at Food City. This particular store was very well stocked, nice and clean. Price's were what we expected. This was a new store - NiceStay Safe Everyone

Been shopping here for about four years and while some deals are better at others shops, this place is certainly great for what it has along with its great employees and even the deli giving out cookies to young children. I highly suggest shopping here if you don't want to go out to the Walmart in Abingdon but the Dollar Store/Family Dollar in town doesn't exactly have what you need.

Absolutely thieves to put air in the tires at their gas station they charge $3 dollars and it doesn’t less even to fill four tires I had to swipe my card twice to fill four tires that means $6 dollars I haven’t seen anywhere in USA $6 charge for air when most of places offer it for free .

Everytime I go here I rarely have a problem. They uslly have what I need in stock, place is kept clean. And my son loves stopping by the bakery for a sweet treat (cookie)!

As of late my experiences shopping here are less than pleasant. I understand having a bad day but cashiers shouldn’t take it out on people who have nothing to do with the bad mood. This is the only grocery store I care to do my shopping at because some of the cashiers and staff are amazing. But there’s a select few that are unpleasant. Everything else is wonderful. My only other complaint is the fact that some people shop without a mask despite the signs, I wish they’d be more strict. I’d hate to shop somewhere else but if the issues persist I will.

Workers will profile you based off your looks. Two employees pretty much swarmed around me while I was browsing as if to catch me stealing or something. Very uncomfortable having two employees in your personal space. Very strange behavior for a retail chain. I may have looked a bit grundge but come on people.

We loved this Grocery because the employees were sooo nice and helpful. We stayed at cabins nearby in Damascus,VA and FC had a 2 for 10$ meat/2. We ate every night Mon through Fri. The food was delicious and filling plus the rolls. Chicken and meatloaf was good. No cooking or cleaning for us. Thank you FC.

For a small chain grocery store, Food City really has a diverse offering. They're a little bit chain, a little bit mom-n-pop, a little bit gourmet. Full smoked ham in burlap sack? Yup. Lodge cast iron? Check. 1/2 loaf sour dough bread? Absolutely. The prices were spot on, the deli meals are delicious (especially the fries chicken!), and customer service is friendly and knowledgeable.

Actually, it's been along time since I had been to Food City. Do not like the ones in Bristol where I live. But we were at our cabin in Green cove, and had to go out for food and drinks. I loved the layout, the prices were good , and more importantly the staff was nice and helpful. Store was clean and well stocked. Great place 👍👍👍👍👍

Wide selection of goods. Deli has a wide variety. They have a lot of sales but be wary. I've gotten good deals only to find a product has been recalled (Peter pan p- butter a few yrs ago) or it goes bad quickly (like their 5 for $20 meats. Use/freeze em soon after getting them home)

We travel to Damascus once a year in the fall to ride the Creeper Trail, and this store is where we go to stock up our cabin. Never disappointed here. Store is always clean and staff is always friendly and helpful. Could not recommend more.

Was a good experience till I got to the deli ask the lady for 8 pcs chicken and she pointed me to the dried out bagged stuff I told her I wanted what was in the case she was working because I wanted a couple more legs than normal because its all my 5 yo will eat she just said sorry grab one of those bags I have done this many times at the location in Elizabethton with no issues

My favorite grocery chain in the Tri-cities. Games was clean, well stocked, and has friendly service. This location does not off the curbside pick-up, but a great store in a friendly town.
