My wife and I always wanted to stay at the Lazy Fox, but it never worked out for our schedules. Now that it’s the Barrett House, I was able to book it for a guys bike trip. The accommodations were great, the beds were comfortable and the hosts (Melissa & Shannon) were super. Their home is like my great aunt’s big two story home, but better because they have the river running behind it. It’s also walking distance to the Damascus Diner where I had a great lunch the first day, and the best pancakes ever the next morning. Thanks again Shannon and Melissa for a great stay!! We’ll be back.

Clean, welcoming, caring hosts. Refurbished since it was the Lazy Fox Inn. The feeling was even more special as Melissa and Shannon, the present owners, were friends with Miss Jenny, the 90+ year old, former proprietor. Walk to good restaurants and historic landmarks. A very relaxing, enjoyable stay.

One of the local inns canceled our reservation and Melissa was very kind to accommodate my friends and I very late into the evening. The room was very clean and she even let us park our motorcycles in the garage for the night.
