We were planning a trip to Damascus, Virginia to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail. We started by contacting a few of the rental/shuttle places. It was our call to this one, after speaking with Melissa, that we decided to use this company. She was very nice, patient with all of my questions and she just provided exceptional service! The day of our hike our rental experience went just as well. Jake and Carlton were helpful and fun. Our bikes were comfortable and well maintained. The store had a great selection of merchandise. We really enjoyed our experience and day with this company! And I don't want to forget to mention our shuttle driver. He was an excellent driver! We felt very safe and comfortable the whole ride up to the mountain.

The staff at Adventure Damascus were invaluable. The reservations and advice, check in process, bike rental, and shuttle were seamless. The bikes were very comfortable and the ride was great. We accidentally forgot something along the trail and the staff did everything to get us reunited with our belongings, including shuttling us half way back up the trail. The store and staff made for a great experience. Thank you!

This was my first time using this outfitter (have used two others in the past). The guy at the desk was great and the payment process was quick. When we got to the bike area, I found their bikes all had hand brakes. I like foot brakes, especially for the Creeper, so went into a mild internal panic. He finally said he would call and get me one. Another party cane up and he took care of them, which had me wondering if he forgot about me (we knew he hadn’t made a call. My friend inquired and he said he had to deal with the others first. Finally he brings out a pink bike with foot brakes, so there was evidently one there anyway. The front tire was a bit wobbly, but that was easy to correct for during the ride. I was glad our ride did not need to be delayed for this. The van was full, but comfortable. The return process easy. A good day overall.

I love this place! My husband and I both purchased used mountain bikes here, one before and one after the pandemic, and we always appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. They have great onsite bicycle maintenance services and well-made, reasonably priced bike gear for sale, and this is our favorite place to get a shuttle to Whitetop for the 17-mile ride downhill on the Virginia Creeper Trail. We are definitely repeat customers!

A great experience, I was on the last shuttle at 3:00 p.m., and the only one shuttled up. The shuttle driver was a great guy... And he went above and beyond. I ended up riding about 38 Mi on the Creeper, it was awesome!From now on I'm always using Adventure Damascus!!!

I have rented from Adventure Damascus several time and the service has always been spectacular and friendly. Every Driver seems to have their own interesting stories to tell on the way to the top. The bicycles are top of the line and they have buggies available for our dog too!

They were very flexible with me. I am a thru hiker and realized the shoes I purchased from them were a bit too big. They allowed me to exchange my shoes for a smaller size even though it is not their policy. I greatly appreciate their flexibility with me and great customer service. Thank you very much!

Friendly, prompt and courteous. Had an amazing trip! The only suggestion I made was to our driver who had a wealth of information to share but we couldn't hear him sitting in the back of the van... Suggested he get a mic. If I lived here, I believe I'd take this run often. It is truly beautiful.

GREAT!!! I've been riding with Adventure Damascus for several years now and I think they're the best in the biz. I took my family for a ride about a week ago and we had a fantastic time. The staff was friendly, as usual. The drivers are really great. We rented 4 bikes from them. The bikes are pretty well used and not much to look at, but they were comfortable. Before we left for our bike ride at 3 o'clock, they told us not to try to rush to get back before they closed, and they told us what to do and who to contact if we arrived back after hours or had bike trouble. They certainly weren't going to leave us stranded. However, we got back to Damascus around 6 o'clock before they closed. I'll continue using Adventure Damascus, I certainly have no complaints!

It was extremely easy to rent a mountain bike from these guys. I literally walked in with no appointment, got bike in hand in 5 minutes. They even went above and beyond to accommodate my multiple requests- seat padding, water bottle storage, and clear explanation of the bike route characteristics. Hands down I’ll rent here again the next time I’m in Damascus.

We were a group of 4 that rented bikes from this company for the Creeper Trail. While the weather was perfect and the trail was beautiful and fun to ride, there was a problem with one of the rental bikes.When we were getting ready for the shuttle it became clear that there were 2 staff missing and a bike was assigned where the gear display was broken and you couldn't see what gear the bike was in. This bike totally failed about 5 miles from the end.. Because there is no cell reception on ride and there are some parts that are essentially flat (not downhill), a bike that doesn’t work was a pretty big problem for the entire group.We did meet some friendly people who were knowledgeable re: fixing bikes, but were told they had never seen an issue like this and there was no fixing that bike.Overall since it was 5 miles away and a beautiful day it wasn’t as bad as it could have been for us. Having said that this bike company should NOT be sending out people on bikes that can’t make it through such an easy ride without falling apart.

We walked in at 4:10 on a Friday for a local bike rental and the staff was friendly. The other places in town only offered a shuttle service the next day. If you’re looking for friendly service and great recommendations I recommend this place.

Friendly service, many bikes and safety equipment options available. This shop appears to specialize in souvenirs for Damascus and the Appalachian Trail as it appears to take up most of the inventory. A bit expensive, but some great designs. I found the best souvenir stickers here, and there are lots of maps for the surrounding areas.

My family had a great time. Only complaint, the man at Adventure Damascus (bald head-long beard) was not people friendly. Seemed like his customers were in his way & he hated his job. Not once did I see a friendly smile on his face or hear a kind word come from his mouth. (No words actually, except one time when he spoke to his co-worker)

The trail was excellent, dispite it being very chilly. The check in and check out process for the bike as well as the ride up was pleasent. The only negative is that I had to pay an additional $5 for a gel seat.
