Delicious and fresh. We came on our way back to NC on highway 220 and are glad we did. They have a deli, homemade bagels & sandwiches. Local coffee and a comprehensive menu. There’s something for everyone. Prices are a little elevated but still good quality.

Don't know how to rate Donnie D's. I agree with the majority of posters that this is a good place to eat. I was shocked to pay $15 for salmon on a bagel with cream cheese, tomatoes and capers but I have to admit it was one of the best I have ever eaten. I live in NC and visit family in Roanoke regularly. Always go there for bagels to take back home. This last batch was off. The insides of the bagels were full of empty bubbles. They looked perfect on the outside but very difficult to butter and eat. Obviously a batch problem. I wrote them an FYI note on their website. I stated I wasn't looking for a refund or freebies. I just don't want to buy bubble bagels there again. No response. At $24 a dozen(13) they should be dependably perfect.

My family loves bagels. We came with family on New Year’s Eve. It was packed. They weren’t toasting regular bagels because it was so busy. They need more toasters because toasted bagels are delicious.Fortunately their bagels tasted super fresh and delicious so my kids liked theirs even without them being toasted. My 5yo ate half of her cheddar bagel with cream cheese and my 7yo ate 3/4 of hers.I got the lox bagel and it was delicious. The tomatoes and red onions bumped it up a bit and made it with all the different textures, etc.My husband and his cousin both got the breakfast burrito and loved it.Wish there was one closer to us. Come to Knoxville!

This was my first visit to Donnie D's and won't be the last!I ate a cinnamon raisin bagel while there (so good) and brought a variety of flavors home for hubby and I to enjoy.The man who waited on us was very friendly and helpful.I'm already planning a stop at Donnie D's on our next road trip through the area in a few weeks.Hey, I'm impressed!

So after eating here five times now - while also having the same meal each time I feel as though I’d leave a Stell3r review!This company's food is very consistent every time it was the same quality! That’s impressive if compare it to other local restaurants. Every time it was fresh the staff was friendly and the location convenient. I only have one caveat : The hash browns triangles should be put into a different To-Go container. I find that the size of the bag has an affect on how they hold up on my few minutes to work.

Isn't it wild how the taste, smell, and texture of food can be extraordinarily evocative, bringing back memories not just of eating food itself but also of place and setting?Bagels remind me of my dad and his stories of living in NY.Donnie D’s Bagels & Deli is delicious. The memories triggered were just icing on the cake. We will certainly be back.

The little big Italian sandwich was amazing! I changed the bagel to a chedder bagel but everything esle was perfect as it came. It was HUGE and I ate half for both lunch and again at dinner and heated up later it was just as good! I would absolutely order again! The restuarant was very clean, including the restrooms. The cashier was very nice and and gave several recommendations.---I went again today for breakfast and had the black forest ham, egg, and cheese bagel and it was really good. The ham was a bit too salty but other than that very tasty and I would order again!

I love this place! Their bagels are delish and so is their in house made cream cheese! Boyfriend and I try to frequent this place as much as possible and are never disappointed.

I really liked the food and it was different enough to change up from your typical lunch spot. The side of homemade bagel chips were surprisingly very good and made the difference with their savoryness.Vegetarian options: Can customize your meal easily.

I loved the Reuben I bought. Went back another day to get sandwiches for dinner, but they close at 3:30pm every day. Maybe they only have one cook and can’t do a late afternoon/early evening shift (til 6:30pm)? I work in Roanoke, so coming here for lunch is typically out of the question.

Nice spot! I enjoyed the food, the vibe and the service. I had the chicken salad sandwich and a toasted bagel w/ cream cheese. Everything was tasty! The chicken salad is made fresh and very good. I added extra mayo. They give bagel chips on the side and they were so delish! Even tho the bagel was just plain, it was just right. It was kinda far but worth the scenic drive and I will be back!

Delicious bagels!!!! Seriously the ONLY bagels in this area you can compare to real NYC bagels. Crisp outside, soft inside. Very good bagel sandwiches. Bought a bunch and they aren't AS good fresh but that really shows how legit the ingredients are. The staff at Donnie D's was super friendly. Casual atmosphere, think a little more casual than Panera.

First the Bagels are very good, however the customer service is non existent. Twice now we purchased what were labeled Maple bacon Bagels from the bin only to find out when we got home that they were chocolate chip. We called to speak to the manager (Anson) about it he indicated to us that we should be able to know the difference between the two. When I asked him how I could tell the difference? He didn't answer so I stated that the only way for me to know is to read what is clearly marked on the bin as Maple Bacon he hung up on me.They have a really good business so I am sure they will not miss our business.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint! I had the Italian sandwich with the asiago bagel and the meat grilled. Wow. It was so delicious! I thought it was funny they serve bagel chips with it but I liked the concept and flavor. Ended up buying bagels to take home too. I will definitely come back!

Very tasty bagels! I've been looking for a place that has good bagels and I finally found one. I was a little dubious about a sandwich with bagels but it was delicious and not hard to bite through. They were out of the jalapeno bacon bagel but I guess that's because they are so popular. The ice tea was great too! Definitely going back!

Not the best. I found animal hair in my food and when I said something to them they literally said and I quote " oh that wouldn't surprise me any honey." Then asked me if I wanted it remade instead of refunding me so I just left. It's not all that like they advertise. It was my first time there as well. Their juices looks like they buy a big bottle of apple juice and pour it into their own clear bottles and charge 4 a bottle.

The bagels are good. Definitely the best your going to get not being in New York. My only complaint is that they never have egg bagels. This is the best bagel. The only reason we don't get bagels here more often is because they never have egg. Such a shame.
