Have been a loyal donator/customer to the goodwills around the area. I took a chair to donate (chair was bought from this goodwill) a lady came out all aggressive saying we dont want this chair its stained I said when did the goodwill get so picky?Will not be donating or shopping here anymore. No stars please.

High prices when the stuff is give to them. Rude employees. I was in today they had a primitive canisters and I wanted them so badly. But they had 3.99 on the small 4.99 on the medium and 6.99 on the large one wouldn't sell as a whole..Mexicans are going into the dressing rooms and pissing because they have no bathrooms sick of it. People need to do something about this place

I know all goodwill s are different, however this one has some of the most ridiculous prices I have seen. i've found dollar store items priced at 3 bucks, coffee mugs that Walmart still sells new, for less than they have them marked, and items that were priced and put on the shelf clearly broken. their prices do not reflect actual value, as i have often heard them breaking unsold glassware in the back.

This store has been my favorite place to shop. I have always been happy to shop here and search for Redskin stuff and cheap polo shirts. For me I am totally content to just stop shopping here. My health is now suffering greatly now.

This is the best Goodwill store in the state of Virginia. Not only is it clean, neat, and organized, their service is just wonderful. We live in Fredericksburg, and we drive to Culpepper to go to this Goodwill store. I’ve told friends and family about the store, and they have also made the drive and have found it to be just an amazing place to shop. Kudos to management for running such a great store.

Very disappointed. I have gone there in the past and received great service. This time I had thousands of dollars (there sale price) of dry cleaned, pressed, top of the line clothes. I requested a bin be brought out, they said not in the rain. It wasnt raining. They refused to come out and help, they told us we needed to remove the hangers, and place them in wet baskets. All while they stood around watching. Good Will will no longer receive our donations.

My Happy Place! For many years, I loathed GW as it was unorganized and gave me anxiety. Since December '20 it has been my favorite hangout.My new Family! I love Barbara and her staff. They are all polite and friendly. I have found some wonderful treasures there but the best part is the new friendships made. ❤️

I believe in shopping at thrift stores whenever possible. Some of my nicest and most favorite outfits have come from them--including my best professional garb and also my wedding dress, which I wouldn't have traded for the price of a Lamborghini. It was perfect, I loved it, and I could not even imagine one that I'd have loved any better. (Pro tip: Change the buttons, and a thrift-store jacket can look like a jacket that you'd love to know which designer it came from. But I didn't see a need to do that with my wedding dress.)We've had good experiences with Goodwill stores in general, but the one in Culpeper is really special. Their people work so hard to keep the store stock looking nice. If you go there to look at clothing, you will find the racks sorted very neatly by color, within each size range! All of the shelves are neat--not a bit of mess in the place. Glassware is extremely affordable, and I've found some treasures. Everything else is extremely affordable, too. People clearly work hard to keep this store so clean and well-organized, and I really appreciate it. If you are looking at small appliances or computer peripherals, you will find that there is even a table with an electrical outlet available, so that you can make sure the device works as designed.And then there's this. Recently, a family member mistakenly dropped off, as a donation, a bag of my personal belongings instead of the adjacent bag labeled "Goodwill." I was as upset as you might imagine. Let's just say that the week went south at that point. I'm a Southerner, but even so, the week "going south" is not a good thing.I found out a little more than an hour after the dropoff. The store personnel really cared. They'd had a shift change, and apparently they move things onto the floor pretty fast. But ... as I say, they cared. They called an employee who'd been on duty at the time of the dropoff, and who might have handled some of the items. He came back to work on his own time to try to find them for me. He found some of them--the ones that counted. The other stuff didn't matter. I was a complete wreck, but at the same time, it would've been kinda hard not to feel the love. I had an entire store's staff worth of people who clearly cared about my distress, and a man who came back to work after hours, on his own time, just on the chance that he might be able to help me out.These are good folks. I am very grateful to them for the care they take in keeping the store so nice, but I am even more grateful to them for the caring that they showed me on a human level.Please do shop--and donate--here, if you have the chance. Everything is clean and really nice, the prices are very affordable, and staff members have never been anything less than lovely to deal with. I've enjoyed talking with every one of them with whom I've interacted.

Small but a very well organized and maintained store! The employees definitely take pride in their work. I was really impressed with the shoes (womens) being color coded! I would frequent this location often if I lived closer.

I often donate to Good Will but haven't been in Culpeper store for a while. I went there today and the store was clean, in fantastic order, the aisles were wide open, the staff was helpful and pleasant. Barbara has done a fantastic job! Pearl in the receiving area is helpful and very friendly. Penny at the cash register helped look for some items. I will return to shop there.

A hard worker is a gem in a haystack stop abusing them and talking down to them if you yourself are unable to do the workload,I worked here for 3 years and was let go on the spot for having to give away broken furniture because there compacter was full, and they want the receiving area spotless had 0 write ups. I gave it my all I was the best i was told by 3managers i was not sugar coating it. I WAS THE BEST, I new my job very well and did it at lighting fast speed

This location is the most difficult goodwill I’ve ever donated at. The women that work here are ALWAYS rude and are never consistent with what they will and will not accept. Especially the managers and Barbra! They are very rude and condescending. Do NOT come here. I’d rather drive out of my to any other donation cite than go here and be judged and talked down to. They scold you like a child when you try to donate something that they don’t feel like accepting that day. Save yourself the hassle and NEVER donate at a goodwill. Only giving 1 star because it won’t let me give 0 stars.

I visited this Goodwill while visiting Culpeper for a wedding. I noticed just inside the swinging doors there were some bins of Video games so I asked two different employees if they were going to bring those out soon. Both employees had a weird response as if it was a weird request to see if I could look through them. They asked the manager if they were allowed to bring them out and the manager without coming out to talk to me herself immediately said no and would not talk to me herself. I am confused as to why they would not want to sell the games as I buy and collect video games. They missed a potential sale as I am thinking maybe they wanted to keep the games for their own buying pursposes?

Everytime I go it's clean an organized, the staff is super friendly! And the prices are awesome! I wish all goodwills would stop pulling "expensive" & brand name stuff to the front, an upcharging it. They already get the stuff for free. An say a girl walks in with $20. She's been working all week, paid her bills, her bday is coming up, and that's all she has to spend. Say the dress she loves is $15 an the shoes that match are $15. Including tax.. that's over her limit. BUT say that dress was hanging with the normal dresses it would be $8.99. And regular shoes are $8.49 sometimes that includes heels an boots as well. The girl could get what she wants, plus the store is moving more merchandise.

I always find great stuff when I go. I will say the're are a few people that work there that are very nice. My complaint is that they don't have shopping carts. They have tons of shopping carts and use them to fill with items. I watch people struggle to hold stuff as they are shopping. It makes it impossible to shop there. I asked the manager if me and another elderly lady could please have a cart and she told us she was not allowed to give any to customers. It made no sense. What are we to use. Customers should come first.

I was falsely accused of stealing from this Goodwill they said they have it on video which they never show the police. so you know that's a lie. .I spent my weekly check there every week even when I was homeless. They called the police on me and embarrass me for no reason.the person there was mad just because I had a backpack on that had my money in it.

Recently bought a printer from the front showcase, was told the printer was brand new plus more. Got home opened the box.. Not the same printer (Plus Broken) printed on box.. went to return it, then a Barbara who’s a terrible manager told me to call HP about the situation wouldn’t refund me $24 and tried getting smart.. she needs to be replaced I’ve had several incidents with this lady..

I have contributed and purchased from Goodwill for years. This was my first experience. Donations are in the back, although there aren't any signs saying so. Rude staff couldn't be bothered by me. Instead of doing their job, taking on their phones. Donate elsewhere that will appreciate it much more.

I've gone here a few times, always leaving feeling like I've wasted my time. The last time I went here, last week I believe, we saw a woman unloading furniture off her truck to donate- while the goodwill employees watched her struggle to do so. Once the woman got it off the truck they had her move it to the side walk where it would be displayed and priced. Then they came over and tagged it stating it had been sanitized, which it hadnt. On top of that there is a young girl that works here that is always rude, finds reasons to over charge you and almost never bags the merchandise... and it's not because she's trying to save the planet one plastic bag at a time - it's because shes rude and lazy. I will not be coming back here :/

Used to be a great store. You could always find good products at good prices. Absolutely horrendous since new management has been in place. Terrible customer service, terrible prices and the quality of merchandise is basically garbage. Have been told personally by the manager that pretty much anything of value is sent out to be sold online. Such greed.

Everyone here is always pleasant and I enjoy finding second hand jems. I rely on it like many others and it's better for the environment.My only qualm is that lot of the racks in the women's section are too crammed. It makes it difficult to look through when you can't push hangars apart to see what you're trying to purchase. This also makes the clothes fall off or out of their hangars more than usual because they are pinned between all of the others still hanging. I understand that there are a lot of donations coming in but it's probably hard to move them out at a decent rate if people can hardly get a good look at them.

Stoped in tonight and had and absolutely awe full experience there. Walked in and browsed a bit found two items to try on and went to the changing rooms They were lock ask the one lady if I could get them unlocked she said wait a minute and I’ll get it for you. So I wait and then the other lady working comes over and Rudely tells me no they will not open it cause it is to close to closing time. There was still 8 min till closing time and she would not let me try on one shirt I would not go to this store the workers are rude and do not care about costumer service at alll.

Always stop here. Rarely purchase anything. I actually have to much stuff so I don't know why I keep going. I guess I'm looking for that rare item I can sell in Ebay and retire. I'll keep looking. Edit: 2022. Not a fan of the recent price increases like almost $8 for used shoes.
