This is a good place if you are looking for hair, wigs, lashes, hair products, even colored contacts. There is so much to choose from. Now when you go in it’s best if you know what you’re looking for as there’s not a lot of help. The pricing is great and I like the quality of product to price. It’s definitely a lot to look at but I’m sure if you need a quick stop this is the place to go in the Culpeper area.

The young man working there acted as though it was an inconvenience when I asked him for assistance. He was Too busy watching his videos. He definitely needed an attitude adjustment. I felt very uncomfortable as a customer. I hope he gives me store credit for the hair (unopened) that I did not use. I don’t feel too enthusiastic about going back.

favorite local beauty supply. all these comments sound so ridiculous. y’all must be new to the shop because i’ve been going here since the couple with their dog. ( since I was a child ) only good people and vibes here. the guy is very polite. always answering questions if you have any and gives you the best recommendations. ❤️❤️ ❤️❤️

Very rude. Definitely won’t be coming back. I purchased hair and the owner stated if the hair was the wrong color or not what I wanted that I could return or exchange it. I went back the next day to exchange and his attitude was different. “We normally don’t do this but go ahead and get what you want” huffing and puffing. It was very rude and unnecessary. You should have said that the first time and I wouldn’t have brought the hair back. I will take my business elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks.

I've been going to this store for years, since about the age of sixteen, the original owners were always so kind and helpful and their son is very funny and sweet like his parents. Prices are very good and they have just about everything you need, much better than Sally's in my opinion 🤣🤷, they offer a lot of things for people of color that you can't normally find in other mainstream beauty supplies stores. I was saddened to hear of the passing of the adorable lady who ran the place, took me by surprise to be honest but apparently the store is on good hands. I highly recommend visiting this establishment.

First time going there today and I must say it was a great experience. The guy was so nice, he was very kind and helpful. That’s now my favorite hair store in VA.

It used to be an elderly couple with a pug at the old location. They were sweet kind people. There is a middle age guy whom owns it now. They may have retired and he may be their relative. He is extremely knowledgeable and very kind as well. Every time I shop he answers my questions on products and styles. He is humorous and always gives me counter products to try free of charge. The prices are cheap and you can return them if you’re not satisfied. If you are seeking products or hair he doesn’t carry, he will offer to order for you and call you when it’s in stock. It’s a smaller space and less products and clutter than the previous location. However the customer service is astronomical.

The individual who works at the store is incredibly rude and has terrible customer service. Look at how he responds to patrons who had a bad experience with the store??? Tacky. Very unprofessional. It doesn’t matter how long you have been open, with an arrogant attitude like that people will not return. I don’t care if he has “two black sons” or not he is extremely prejudice. I know it’s slim pickings as far as beauty supplies in this area but, do NOT shop at Beauty Discounters. Shop a black own beauty store where they actually appreciate your business.

First time, I love this place! The lace wigs are awesome, don't judge before you have one taken down and put it on! Just bought 2 for 130.00. the lady and and man are knowledgeable and so helpful. Large variety and great service. The lady helped me put it on take pics and worked with me very patiently. Thank you!

The owner was beyond rude and chastised me like a child for missing signs that said not try on wigs. As I was apologizing for my mistake he snatched the merchandise out of my hand and walked away while mumbling that I was “unbelievable”. I will never set foot in this establishment again.

Love this place. Has everything you need. The lady that work there has passed away. I think her son is running it now. She was a beautiful person. God bless her. She is definitely missed.

I changed my mind about a product. He became very irritated. He is in the wrong business,, very poor customer servuce. Said he would serve me again.RUDE, RUDE. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Local stop for hair products of all kinds; wigs, supplies for braids, shampoos, conditioning products, relaxer, dyes, combs, clips, anything you need to get your hair done. Also a fairly solid makeup selection including matte lipsticks and tools! Don't expect the highest quality products, or many safe and organic options.
