Our usual place to bring our dog was full and we needed to leave town for a wedding.While Alpha seemed a little pricey for our budget we were thankful to have an option.From all indications her stay was great! She seemed content and slept for hours after we got her home.While she was there we opted for a bath which we were pleasantly surprised by.She was clean and felt much softer then other bath experiences.It does seem our dog was well cared for and as she approaches her senior years its very important to us.

I highly recommend Alpha Pet Resort. Affordable, professional, clean and our dog seemed very happy to be there. The dogs are NOT put into kennels, they have a “room” at the resort. It’s comforting knowing my dog wasn’t in a cage.Our dog will definitely be a return guest at Alpha Pet Resort.

NO ONE ELSE around does dog grooming better than Alpha Pet Resort! Kristin & assistants are phenomenal!We’ve used the boarding services here many times over the years. We would not board our toy poodles (puppy mill rescues) anywhere else! Loving care with real attention to the details ❤️🐾🐩🐩🐩🐾!

Exceptional. Kudos to the owner for running the best dog boarding place in the entire area! I'm also impressed the team of people who work there DO care and love animals. The knowledge and expertise is amazing and comforting to know that our pet was in good hands. They listened and they came through. They keep you updated with photos and are always reachable without delay.This place has good reviews because it's true. This place really is a 5 star pet resort. My mom and I highly recommend this place~

Visited Alpha today and had a great experience! They were able to book us for day camp and grooming right away! Our pup Ace had a blast, they came out to get him and offered to bring him out to the car since I had my son with me. Very friendly staff and love the new building to the resort!

APR groomer Kennedy groomed my mini Bernedoodle Toby today. It was his first time at APR. She did exactly as I asked, and he looks great! The fee was appropriate for the services and care provided. We are extremely happy and will be bringing him back for his next grooming. Thank you APR and Kennedy!!!

This was my first time at Alpha! It was absolutely wonderful. They checked in with me during my dog's stay and even sent pictures! I could tell they really spent time with her and cared. I will definitely be back in the future for boarding and daycare! Love the pool aspect.

Just picked up our golden doodle. He is one year old and it was his first time away from us. Alpha Pet Resort is awesome. They sent texts and emails with pics of our Bruno while we were away. Everyone has been super nice and helpful, from communicating via phone, text, email or in person. Our pup was very clean and looked wonderful after his 7 days there. Reasonable prices too. We won’t use anyone else now. 😊

This was pebbles and Queenie’s first time at Alpha Pet Resort and based on the pictures they sent us during our vacation, it seems like the dogs had a great time. They catered to each dogs needs and we added the puppy package for pebbles (the smaller Dalmatian in the pictures) so she could get extra play time to get out all of her energy. There was another Dalmatian there over the weekend and they got to play together which was so sweet of the staff. You can see Queenie kissing one of the employees in the pictures which means she was happy. We will definitely bring them back!

We have a large, special needs Great Dane. The staff at Alpha Pet Resort understands our girl and is able to accommodate her requirements. They are true professionals. We have used Alpha Pet Spa for all our dogs since Jason opened the business. We are fortunate to have this facility in our community.

The staff and owner were very friendly and answered all of my questions. I got photos and even a few videos of my sweet girl while I was away which made me very happy and relieved that my dog seemed to be having such a great time. I would bring my dog back there next time I need to board her.

Was told by friends of Alpha Pet Resort. I set up the appointment which was very easy to do. We got the deluxe grooming and WOW. ! The dogs coat was very clean and shiny. The shampoo they use also smells good. He doesn't like his nails done but they were able to do them and all around we had a very good experience. We will be going back to Alpha Pet Resort again. ! Great Job.

I absolutely love this place they are the only place in the Culpeper area that will take my large German shepherd with open arms and take the best care of him. Everyone is extremely professional and they always have my dog (5years old) come out looking like a puppy! Really appreciate this place:)

I have a very anxious and hyper German Shepherd that I was worrying about boarding. These people were amazing with my girl! They gave my dog lots of attention and she came home a happy dog! Definitely bringing her back for our next vacation!

This was my first time boarding my kitten here for 5 days while I was out of town for thanksgiving, and I am so grateful and happy with how they took care of my baby! They did so well that it almost seemed like she wasn’t ready to leave.They even sent me pictures of her without me even having to ask which I loved! Will be utilizing their services in the future.

Very good day 1 experience. This was my dogs first time at a day care. I want to get them used to me being gone and want them to socialize with other people and dogs. The team at alpha is was responsive during the day when I ask for updates on progress. The team did a great job with assessing my dogs behavior, testing them in different situations, and introducing them to other dogs and environments. We appreciated the thorough assessment provided at the end of the day. Also, the app is great. I like how it enables us to manage the dogs accounts and visits. It also allows you to connect other family members. I like the message system connected directly to the alpha team. Alpha is ad spoken highly of by our vet, which went a long way in our choice.One recommendation: It would be great if paw patrol would develop a feature for the Alpha team to store notes of the dogs for each visit. It would be most helpful to have the records stored individually by date and be exportable. That way I could reference the notes, pass them to a trainer, or give them to a vet when needed. Alpha gave me a wealth of information at the end of the day about how my dogs behaved and they provided recommendations, but I didn’t have a way to capture that information for future reference.

Our young, very active breed dog seems to have a wonderful time the 2 times we have boarded her at Alpha Pet Resort. The pictures they email us of her running around with other dogs during group playtime are very appreciated and make us feel better when we're missing our little love bug. The owners and all of the staff are so great and always make us feel like our baby is in the best hands possible if they can't be ours. They invite and encourage us to call or email to check in on our girl at any time. The front desk people were happy to check with the other staff to assure us how she was doing, that she was eating okay and even that she got her Simparica monthly preventative on the correct day. We travel with our pup whenever possible but when it isn't then we will always bring her to Alpha!

Our shepherd Heidi absolutely loves her play time at doggie daycare.We tell her she is going to daycare and she gets so excited.She knows every road especially when we turn on Brandy road from Rt 29. She is so happy. I can' not say enough about the people who work there also. I have never been so happy as when we made the decision to take her for playtime. Thank you all for being So awesome!]

The staff was nice. That’s why I will give 2 stars. And the facility looks nice/cleanOther than that, not so pleasant experience.When we picked up our dogs they smelled like pee and they were only there for a night/day. Both are crate trained and it was only their paws/legs that straight up smelled like pee. So they must have never rinsed the turf they take them out to, which they should if it is this bad that it just drenches the pups feet, which were wet when we picked them up. (Just another indication that they were standing in pee)The worst thing was though, that a couple days after we brought them home BOTH our dogs got really bad diarrhea and they threw up. It got so bad they were not eating or drinking anymore because they were in such discomfort.Please don’t take your dogs here if you want them to come home healthy.I am very disappointed, especially after telling them about the bad experience we have had at Dogtopia, starving our dogs. (I guess Alpha Pet Resort at least fed our dogs..so that is a plus) so I had high hopes.The gold package is also not worth it. We got it for the pictures, which we got only once that day, 4 pictures. I should have asked how many times we will get pictures, so that is on me.Go with a private person on Rover if you want a good experience.

We were extremely pleased with our visit to Alpha Pet Resort. Our pet, Marley, received the best groom of his young 10 month life there. He has been groomed several other times in several places, but never has his grooming been so thorough and well done. In addition, we toured the resort with the thought that Marley might enjoy play dates there and in the future, we might need to have him boarded. We found the resort to be clean, bright, very pet friendly, and well staffed by caring people. After this visit, we have decided Alpha Pet Resort will be Marley’s home away from home even though it is located some distance from where we live. It is worth the trip.

Alpha Kennels exceeded my expectation! The staff and the place are amazing. Our two vizsla boys (who are not used to kennels) were just staying there for the first time and for a whole week! They returned back home happy and with no sign of distress. Alpha Kennels provided clean, safe and loving environment for our beloved dogs. Thank you!

My dogs stayed for only two nights. I have two dogs that shared a room. The dogs came out wearing the wrong gear, my sheltie who doesn’t wear a collar because she slips out of them due to her head size was wearing my aussie’s too big collar. He was squeezed into her harness. My Aussie also seemed like he hadn’t peed in a very long time and sprinkled everywhere and then still urinated for a very long time. He was also absolutely filthy and stained my car. There should be no reason to send a dog home like that, even if the person didn’t want to pay extra for a bath. He also had diarrhea when we got home, though he is a teething puppy so I will not put that on them. All of my property was written on, and there was no warnings about that given. I called them to report what happened and when the owner called me back, she just came up with excuses and interrupted me every single time. I cannot believe that they have such good reviews.

Prices are way to high. They charge 50$ for a bath. They charge for treats. They charge for playtime with other dogs. I won't go to them any more.
