Wonderful baked ziti and my husband enjoyed his pizza. I love the decoration with what appear to be family photos. Service was excellent, the food was hot (the ziti has steak coming off it for a while! ) And everything tasted great. Why does this keep happening? 🤣 Local pizza joints are just not good. Non-existent service with an excuse for everything, bad food, cramped, smoky interior, dirty bathrooms and floors... and pricey!! There is pretty much nothing good to say about this place. Do yourself a favor and just pick up a frozen pizza; it'll be MUCH cheaper, taste better, and be a more comfortable environment.

So again I rate Italian by two things creme brûlée and chicken Marsala, in my opinion you have to know how to cook with the Marsala wine to get it right and Tiz and family gets it right every time.And the pizza well the sauce is just right unlike the competition a few steps down the road you will get someone to greet you take your order and come see you with a check so leave your phones at homeSals is a local family joint so come support

Delicious food and relaxing atmosphere! This was my first time here and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area! I got the Stromboli and I had to take some home because it was so much food for the money.

Ordered a steak and cheese and this is what i got, not even a handful of meat consisted mainly of soggy bread and cheese and for $9.25 plus tax you would think they could do a little better. Should have just got a steak and cheese from one of the gas stations up on 250, at least they actually give you some steak and its half the price.Edit from my earlier post. They responded and said they voided $8.21 counting tax from my purchase, however they must not be very good at math considering the fact that a steak sub is $7.50 alone and by adding chesse, grilled onions, grilled peppers and grilled mushrooms is .25 cents each amounts to $8.50 plus tax equals $9.25, but guess i cant argue with the veggie charges since i did get plenty of those. I have a receipt to prove my claim just so you know.

We were passing through town on our way home and looked up the best pizza in the area, the rave reviews did not disappoint! As soon as you walk in, you can tell that is a family run establishment, and it was nice to see so many families dining in. The calzones were delicious!

Wish I could give a 5 star review, as I do love their pizza dough (it is like no other). However, today I ordered a pizza with “light on the sauce” and instead got “extra sauce”. Very Disappointed and wasted $20. Please listen to the person ordering.

Update. The manager/owner messaged me and said it was aComputer glitch and not something that they normally do. 👋🏼👋🏼Is no one going to mention the $2.00 per tap water?We had a wonderful pizza and wonderful service but were confused when we got the bill and had $10.00 worth of tap water charges for our family of 5. I was the only one who got a refill and my kids barely took but a few sips of their waters.It’s a real shame to charge for tap water…..we otherwise would have been big fans of this place.

Had a specialty pizza that was out of this world good. Also had a superb salad with Kalamata olives, provolone cheese, and various meats (salami, etc;) with Sal's homemade dressing. 5-star food! Will return. Excellent service, I might add.Update: Best spaghetti sauce and marinara around! Authentic Italian sauces with a perfect blend of vegetables and spices. Love it!

My gf and I out to Crozet on my birthday the other day and we had a very yummy pizza lunch at Sal's. Because pizza is my favorite food of course. Sal's Pizza is on point! We had the Deluxe 12 inch. Nice n crispy crust and mouth watering toppings of meats n veggies. It really hit the spot. The loaded fries as an appetizer were mighty delicious as well. Their menu has a very wide selection of other yummy choices from Italian Entrees, burgers, wings, apps, hot subs, salads, desserts. Above all the service was top notch. The place was clean and had a very quaint, friendly atmosphere. I can't wait to return and try other items on the menu. So if your hungry and in the Crozet area, check out Sal's. 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

We recently moved to town and friends kept telling us to try Sals. I ordered a pizza and a sausage roll. I got home and changed into pajamas, went to eat my food with my kids, and the entire bottom of the sausage roll was literally raw. Still dough raw. They offered to replace it so I drove back to get a replacement. No offer of partial refund or refund for having to drive back and biting into raw dough. They ask me if they can cut the replacement open to ensure it’s cooked? I got it home and it’s bland, tasteless and ended up in the trash. The staff are nice enough but the food was not good and having something on your menu that you’re not sure how to cook without cutting it open is worrisome. I think we will find other places to try.

Great pizza the many times I've been there. Last experience ordered take out, walk in to pick up pizza and pay. Told to wait 10 minutes, 20 minutes later they hand me the pizza that was on top of the oven the whole time. No apology, no sorry it took so long, just laughing smile "here ya go".

We're from out of town and found this on our way through and we're very glad we did! My dad doesn't like pizza very much at all and LOVED The Caveman! Our server was very sweet and helpful. The artichoke spinach dip is amazing!
