This place is classic and has been in the same spot in Crozet for decades. If they don’t have it, you probably don’t need it. It smells right and looks right. The folks who work there are knowledgeable and happy to help you find the piece of PVC, the bolt, the right electrical connection, the seeds or big spay that’s right for you. Even if you aren’t in the middle of a project, it’s worth dropping by just for the experience. And grab a case knife or a Gerber machete on the way out.

I can get all the basic stuff I need without driving to Charlottesville or Waynesboro. I especially like their bulk seeds, I've had good luck with them.

Was a little disappointed in the service. I remember coming in here for last 20 years and great customer service. Not people eye rolling their eyes because they don't understand what your looking for. Trying to give you what they want, not what you are asking for then roll their eyes and give you attitude like your an inconvenience. If I am wrong with what I want it's on me and I will be inconvenienced bringing it back, not you! So keep your bad manners and attitude in check..

If you're a fan of old time hardware stores, this is a must stop! It reminds me of the ones I grew up with 70 years ago when you could go in and find anything at a reasonable price and knowledgeable staff! It's a great place to go buy stuff, but what's an even better place to go just hang out!

The gentlemen in this old timey hardware store took wonderful care of my issue. They are the most caring guys. Even though I live in Ivy, I will come back to them now because of their customer service which is hard to find in hardware stores anymore.

Great experience, first time visit. Large selection of what I needed today and very knowledge and helpful, even though I barely knew the right question to ask. Recommended. Prices are a bit high but expected for being so local.

The most helpful and friendliest gentleman I have ever met! I came in thinking my portable air compressor was destroyed and I would have to purchase a new one. They looked for the part in their shop to fix it for free, but they couldn't find it. They ordered the part for $2.86 and repaired it for me when the part arrived. They saved me lots of money and hassle. My air compressor is like new!

Good old-fashioned hardware store which definitely saves trips to the big box stores and is very convenient in Crozet. I'm sorry to say that I knocked a star off the rating because none of the staff were wearing masks during the current omicron surge of COVID-19.

This is just one of those old hardware stores that deserves to survive the internet and big box store onslaught. There is a lot more inventory than there appears to be, so it is always a good idea to ask for help if you can't find what you want. A little more liberal return policies would be nice, but you can never have everything want.

Great place. Reminds me of the way business used to be done. I think the prices were competitive. I didn't have to cover 5 acres on foot and look for clerk to wait on me.

People here couldn't be nicer or more helpful. If you call asking for something they know exactly what is in stock, and for a small place, they have a staggering variety of items. This place is a gem for Crozet. Please support local businesses like Crozet Hardware.

I'd say that this hardware store is a third of the scale of Lowe's but the quality and kindness is like going to a Home Depot they have a lot of Hardware that others don't have and they're really helpful
