Jen and Matt went above and beyond with their hospitality. I can’t recommend the Cliff View experience enough. We will absolutely make this a place we visit regularly.Rooms: Clean and cozy. I always come golf at Cliff View with my dad when I am home to visit! I am never disappointed with the golf course, the hospitality, and the food! The owners are so nice and treat everyone like family!

I recently stayed at the Inn and I have no words to describe how much I appreciated my time here! Cliff View is such a special place and I left leaving so refreshed and knowing that it would not be my last visit!The Inn was amazing! Cozy, quaint, relaxing, It was the perfect getaway! I work remote and I felt so comfortable sitting in the kitchen, or out on the porches taking in the beautiful mountain views! The Wifi was great and I was able to work comfortably all week while I was there having no issues with Zoom meetings or bigger calls! This would be the perfect place for a corporate retreat or for someone looking to re-spark some creativity or motivation!The Brewhouse food was AMAZING! I am still thinking about the Rosemary Mushroom Swiss Burger that I had, by far one of the best burgers I have ever tasted! We got to enjoy some awesome live music, amazing food and good laughs.The experience here is totally what you make of it! There are so many things to do around, I am not a golfer but we went out on the course and had such an awesome time! There is hiking, fishing, biking, trails - so much to do around that can be customized to really fit your likes and needs.This was easily one of the most relaxing and self grounding trips I have been on. The staff was beyond amazing, everyone was so friendly and I am already looking forward to coming back again! The fresh mountain air, beautiful views and friendly atmosphere is something you would not want to miss out on!

The food is always amazing! I recommend everything from the truffle fries, loaded tots, salmon, salads, burgers, you name it! The atmosphere is wonderful! Service is always great. Beautiful location. I always enjoy the outdoors seating and live entertainment.I've never golfed here so I cannot speak to that. The course is exceptionally manicured however!

We stumbled upon the Cliff View Golf Club & Inn and are so happy we did. We were on a getaway with another couple and were looking forward to biking the Jackson River Trail, Golfing and generally just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We enjoyed doing all of those at the Cliff View Inn. It is a very casual, somewhat rustic Inn but very clean and inviting. Each room has it's own bathroom and the shared kitchen is beautiful and well stocked. There are a number of enclosed porches and a deck surrounded by natural beauty. The deck overlooks the 9th hole and the beautiful cliffs. The Jackson RIver bike trail is just about one block from the Inn. The restaurant/pub is not always open but we were lucky enough to have lunch on the patio one day and it was delicious. We had dinner one night at Sam Snead's and toured the Homestead/Hot Springs area. We enjoyed meeting Jen who was extremely hospitable and helpful during our stay. We are already making plans to bring our kids and grandkids back for another weekend family getaway.Nearby activities: Walk to the Jackson River Trail. Inn is located on the golf course. Lake Moomaw and Beach are about 20 minutes from the Inn and Hot Springs less than 30 minutes.Walkability: Once there you don't need to drive to the golf course or the Jackson River Trail.

Played 18 holes at Cliff View. The course has a great layout and is a challenge for all. It wasn't in the best shape ( not the courses fault, unable to cut grass because of all the rain the past week), but would definitely like to play it dry. We will be returning next year. Jen was great and accommodated our group of 12. It is a hidden gem!

My friends and I made it over from WV finally last evening. Such a gorgeous property! The service was wonderful (thank you Saige and Holly), we loved the setup (outdoor seating and big stage), and the music was the kind that makes you sing along (Untrained Professionals). My friends REALLY loved the "little cooler deal." 😉 Look for us again, because we WILL be back!

Great food! Great service! Reasonable prices.It's a little off the beaten path, but a terrific view of the mountains, good atmosphere, good service and terrific food, make the trip worth it. It was a rainy day but I am looking forward to a return visit so that I may sit outside and enjoy the view as much as I enjoyed the food. I'm also looking forward to a visit when they have live music! Thank y'all for a great meal!

While spending a weekend fly fishing at the Cliff View Golf Club & Fly Fish Inn, we ate dinner here each night, as well as got lunch catered each day and everything was outstanding! This isn’t a “greasy spoon” with a boring, basic menu, rather Jenny (the chef) has an amazing menu loaded with freshly made items and sauces. She spends a lot of time and energy putting together some great, uniquely prepared menu items that sound typical, but aren’t done the typical way.Her Shrimp Po Boy was outstanding! The bread is part of what makes an amazing Po Boy and she knocked it out of the park by selecting the bread she’s using. She explained she specifically selected this bakery for the bread and it came out perfect! The shrimp was perfectly battered with a slight cornmeal batter (I know, not traditional, but perfectly done!) and the sauce on top brought it together nicely!The steak & cheese was excellent! Nice beef, no fat/gristle and great toppings and cheese… We added sautéed jalapeño and onions to it and they really made it taste great!My favorite item was her cole slaw – it was unbelievably tasty and very fresh! You can tell it’s made fresh daily!!! The fish sandwich is incredible too… fresh fish with her homemade tartar and a pickle and cheese added… I’ve never had a fish sandwich with a pickle, but this was great! The bun was incredible too.They offer the typical assortment of wines, beers, and even the popular new alcohol canned drinks. The view, if you sit outside is incredible with views of the cliffs across the Jackson River. Service from the servers, all the way up to Jenny herself was great too. Everyone is treated like family there. Highly recommend stopping in for dinner, lunch, whatever – we definitely enjoyed it!Nearby activities: Golf & Fly FishingFood & drinks: Excellent restaurant on propertyNoteworthy details: Beautiful views of the Jackson River

Had lunch with friends today at Cliffview.Could not be happier with the service and the food. Jen and Breanna were awesome. Love them both.We were able to eat outside under a covered area and enjoy the beautiful mountains of the Alleghany Highlands. If you have not visited Cliffview Brewhouse you are missing outWill be back soon.

This is a spectacular, affordable, 18 hole golf course. It is family built and family run, which adds a nice local touch. It is not perfectly manicured in all locations, but for the price and scenery, it is easy to overlook those very few minor imperfections. Carts are electric and ours ran great. Very friendly staff. If you are in the area and don't try this course, you are missing out. I havent stayed at the Inn, but it looked nicely upkept and had screened in porches. I learned a weeknight stay is under $100. Good value compared to other local hotels.

This is one of the most peaceful settings to play golf I've ever seen.. No cars, no homes, no pushy pace of play, no noise pollution at all....unless you count squirrels barking at each other. It's true tranquility. Oh and its gorgeous!

Orderd the cheesesteak sandwiches yesterday as takeout, it was absolutely delicious. They definitely have the best cheesesteaks that I have ever had. Awesome.

Took a chance and drove down from London, Ontario to stay here. What a pleasant surprise! Owners are wonderful hosts, the rooms were spotless and the Inn itself very spacious and comfortable. Views are spectacular, the fishing was good and the golf course challenging yet very playable. Prices are very reasonable, what more could anyone ask for?!!

Review on the Inn...the owners Matt and Lisa are top notch people. We rented the Inn to host a college reunion. The Inn was perfect, the common space is huge and you can spread out. We rooms were all nice and large. Everything was very clean. The large deck was a hit. Thank you again! Definitely will return.

Most interesting golf experience I have had in sometime. The owner Byron was a hoot. I was greeted by a guy in the clubhouse who said I needed to go to the back and get with owner to talk golf. They were in the middle of butchering a hog . That being said I was able to rent clubs and play 18 holes with a cart for $20 bucks. The clubs were an antique collection of many clubs from the past. Made for a fun challenge. I had the entire course to myself which abounded in beauty. The course was fine but the singer made it rough to find the next hole. The greens are small and yet they were fine. The most comical was my cart died on the 18th so I just packed my stuff and left cart and all on the 18th. No one was at clubhouse but told some guy that was eating in the place. Overall I was there for the experience and with that I give it a 5 star.For that price I would do it everyday. As I said the owner was great and loved talking with him!

This was a great place to stay in the mountains. Clean, friendly, good food. Need to bring golf clubs on next visit. Just a nice quiet location if you are visiting the mountains. Jen and Frank were very helpful.

We absolutely love this place! We spent our Thanksgiving there this year and had our family with us. The views are breathtaking and the staff is 5star! Each room is a suite with retro country styling. I have been telling everyone about this bed and breakfast!

They have put a lot of time and effort into the course over the last two years. It is currently in great shape and seems to get better every time I come. A beautiful backdrop and well designed course, as well as affordable! A great place for either beginners or experienced players!
