Use to be a great humane society. Now they don't answer the phone or messages. It is really unfortunate because I know a few people that have reached out and submitted adoption forms. They have been waiting for a few weeks and still no response. It seems like they don't want you to adopt or you have to know someone that works there to get inside.They also won't let you in without an appointment, but they aren't answering. It's really unfortunate for the animals. I hope it's just oversight and not anything super concerning. It seems like if you want to adopt you may have to go to another area.

The worker who was in charge of my application, whether I got accepted or not does not like me because of personal drama, even though I did nothing to him personally. I Gave him the benefit of the doubt by thinking that maybe he would put that aside and actually be mature, so a poor kittie could go to a loving home, but no, I got denied bc of how he personally feels about me and didn’t even care that he was stopping a cat from going to a good and very loving home, instead of having to stay in the shelter hoping someone else would pick him eventually. And that was selfish and wrong. There was nothing wrong with my application, he denied me just because his best friend hates me so he does too. I called and asked the next day, even though he had told me he’d call me by the end of the day. I had to call myself and he wasn’t there, so I asked someone else and he told me I got denied, I asked why, and he said he didn’t know and that all it says was denied. Personally I don’t think someone who is so selfish that they would deny a shelter cat a home where he’d be loved and well taken care of, just because he’s best friends with someone who hates me, who honestly probably told him to deny me, should be in charge of who gets denied and who doesn’t. Obviously he doesn’t care that much about the animals if he’d rather a cat that was picked to go to a good home, stay in a shelter for however long it takes for him to be picked again, if he does. I even asked him myself and he didn’t even respond. He shouldn’t even be working there if he’s going to be that unprofessional and put high school drama over the job he’s supposed to be doing. I am extremely disappointed in this whole situation, and I’m not gonna stop here. Someone not doing his job to right to be petty does not need to have that job. Would’ve definitely given a better rating if he had chosen to be an actual adult and not let petty drama make a decision to deny an innocent cat the life and home he deserves, instead of living in a cage at a shelter. I spent so much money buying toys and treats and all kinds of things for him. He would’ve been spoiled and he would’ve been loved so much, and very well taken care of. But no. He has to stay at the shelter now bc of this selfish individual. I’m very upset bc I fell in love with this cat right away, and he liked me too. He could’ve had such a great life. Just no one like that should that kind of power when it comes to innocent animals.

I have been trying to call, I have filled out an application for 4 animals and haven't heard back from anyone for two weeks nows. We are in holiday season right now, but in the past no one has reached back out to me when I have shown interest in an animal. This place and the people who run it are very incompetent and are not proactive in making sure animals are adopted. I have tried going there and also calling, but nobody will answer the door or the phone. They must only pick and choose people they know personally to adopt animals. For anyone who's reading this, you really need to hire reliable staff at this location. I have had to travel to a different humane society to adopt and that a dang on shame. At this point, why are you even open, I would give a zero if I could.

Submitted application messaged them on Facebook been calling can’t get any kind of response or call back. My wife and I trying to adopt a dog for my family for couple weeks now. Shelter is posting on Facebook how there full but can’t respond or call anyone back. No wonder your shelter is always full. Trying to help out by adopting but at this point I’m going to go buy a dog seems easier and simple then dealing with a place with poor communication!

Very kind staff. Provided a harness for Freya. Gave me a little puppy food to last till I get to the store. Just wonderful. Freya is already at home.

I can't say enough great things about the folks that work and volunteer at this shelter. They are patient and kind, and have the biggest of hearts when it comes to looking after and caring for these innocent animals. A big THANK YOU to all of them for their service to the community and to the animals.

Signed cats up for Angels of Assisi. Paperwork was easy. $25 a piece for cats. Drop off at 730 on date assigned. Pick up between 530 & 7 pm the same evening. Very quick and friendly. Happy healthy cats
