Wow, what a unique experience! I found the Covesville Antique Store to be charming and delightful. I was told by a friend of the owner that the building itself has been around for quite some time, since somewhere between the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, and was originally a good old-fashioned country general store… complete with creaking hardwood floors and tin ceiling tiles. It has a great feel to it and I loved it! Good selection of antiques at reasonable prices. Stop in and take a true step back in time, I think you will not be disappointed!

I stopped by with 10 minutes to spare before they closed and looked around. They were so friendly and even told me they didn't mind since they had things to do, so I stayed an additional 5 minutes! I can't wait to go back!

Nice Antique store. we found some really good items at great prices. Low enough for resale. We will be stopping by when we pass through this area for sure. The owner was great to talk to. We had a blast.

A great store with lots of cool little things, it's very nice to find an antique store that actually sells antiques and not just a store that sells reproductions and "country living" items. My only concern is that the building is not in very good condition and the stairs to the upper level did not feel very secure or sound to me.

We loved visiting there and found a few great finds there that weren’t very expensive. My only problem is there was what appeared to be a frail elderly lady there working by herself. I wonder what it would have been like if we bought a larger piece??? Otherwise, she was kind and courteous and our treasure made it home safely. I’d definitely go back!

Good store with reasonable prices. Mostly interesting (meaning, good stuff) - not like some antique stores full of junk with a few good tidbits. Fella working was great to talk to. We are on the hunt for some specific items and found a good selection and purchased. Also, in a nice area of rural Virginia for a Sunday afternoon drive down Rt 29. Made for a nice day. I recommend the store and the drive.

We really enjoyed our time going through. The lady who runs it was sweet and informative. It looks like they are doing a lot of improvements too! We can't wait to go back and visit again! Definitely worth a stop if you're traveling down 250. It's right next to the road and the gorgeous old farm house can't be missed!

The house is really cool to see, it’s huge. But not everything here is an antique. Some stuff looks like Christmas stuff in my moms attic. I purchased a bracelet and when I researched the brand in the car on the way home, it was made by a Malibu based online brand that had been around for just the last 5 years or so. Yet the antique shop says everything is from 1940s etc. definitely research before you buy. But the experience of seeing old silverware and cups and tables and furniture and the house itself was worth going.

I have been shopping there for many years, and sometimes made a purchase and sometimes not, I really do love looking in the store, it has many interesting items, I do not ever go in just to look, I am only in there because I am shopping for a certain item, however today when I dropped by the store because I was looking for a particular piece, I needed a bathroom break, when I went to the restroom door it had a lock on it, so I went to find the person that worked there and asked if I could use the restroom, and she replied, " No, we do not have a restroom" , the restroom has always been available in the past, and I did tell her that I would need to leave the store and could not continue to shop if I could not use the rest room, she made no response, ! I felt that if the restroom was in order customers should be allowed to use it, if it was out of order, she should have explained that to me, and my question would have been, " Where will you need to be excused"? I believe a business will loose money if concealing there restroom is more important than a paying customer, I did tell her that I would not be shopping there if I could not use the restroom, when you have to go, you have to go! So I would hope that you would change your restroom policy and take the lock off the door and make it a priveledge for customers to enter, however, if not , there are plenty of other antique stores in the area that I can go to and that I would recommend to others ! They all have bathrooms and allow customers to make use of them !

Lovely things but I’m disappointed, we drove 45 minutes this morning and it’s closed despite hours listed on Google from 10-5. I found a dresser a few months ago, and I think it is still there given some pictures that have been posted since. The person working that day stated that unless I took it then, they wouldn’t sell it to me, so make sure you bring your truck. Despite all this, I’ll be back.

It is a massive antiques store, but if you have had anything to eat or drink that day, go someplace else. They refuse to allow public access to a restroom and told us to use the absolutely filthy Citgo station three miles down the road! We had to cut our visit short, because who expects a big antiques place to not allow shoppers to relieve themselves on-site? Tourists can't just run home to use the toilet, a building that size should have a public restroom and a disgusting place miles down the road with no hot water knob, no soap and nothing to dry your hands on is not acceptable. No apology either, just "No, go to the Citgo."

Excellent variety of furniture and household items as well as a great range of prices. helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Make sure you look at the items out on the porches. Staff willing to negotiate prices.

For my part, I would like to come to The Covesville Store sometime before death so that I could buy one of those wonderful "sold" pieces - they are great! Thank you for letting us peek.
