If you are looking for an awesome fishing experience for your family you will not find a better place than Copper Hill Troutfitters! Jason and his staff are very knowledgable and accommodating. The facilities and the trout that are stocked in it are amazing. My son’s first fish he caught Jason helped land it for him. Then took it over to the barn and cooked it right there on the grill. If you want memories this your place to go.

We had a great time and the kids loved it. They learned so much about fishing of course, but also about wildlife as the pond is surrounded by Nature. Jason our guide was awesome with giving everyone a wonderful experience and we will definitely recommend & be back again! And the fish is delicious & BIG 🙂

Spent the afternoon with a group fishing on this wonderful 3 acre spring feed lake on a beautiful piece of mountain property. Caught all the fish we wanted and great in size with lot of help from the owner to clean . Well worth the time and money and friendly knowledgeable staff with degrees in wildlife management .Will do again great place to take kids for easy fishing take food for a nice picnicking experience also bring chairs

Me and my family found this beautiful trout pond tucked away in the blue ridge mountains. The owner is such a nice and helping man. I have shared this with all my fishing friends with family’s. I recommend this place to anyone that loves trout fishing.

This lake is a beautiful place to visit for a family fishing trip. The grounds are beautiful and the fishing was awesome. We are already talking about our next trip and what to bring for family picnic after fishing!The owner is super nice and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great time! My kids loved how he talks like a duck! They started calling him Dr Duck. Your kids will have so much fun reeling in fish, they will beg to come back.Tommy R

100/10 it was a great experience and in an absolute beautiful setting. My family had a wonderful time reeling in fish after fish. It is our favorite place for a great afternoon outdoors as a family. I would highly recommend Troutfitters for families and even a couples day date. We will absolutely be going again!

The view from their cabin is stunning and the fishing was amazing. Was there with some buddies and we caught multiple massive trout in a peaceful setting. Can’t recommend this enough to anyone to go and try. Would be a great activity for a family with kids as well.

Our family had an awesome experience at Troutfitters! The property is gorgeous and a hidden gem close to Roanoke but secluded enough that you really feel as though you spend the time off grid. They really know their stuff and were able to guide all of us - from novice to experienced - through the entire fishing experience. We’re already looking forward to going back and would recommend for all ages and skill levels.

Certainly one of the most beautiful places in SW VA. Close to Roanoke, Floyd, and the Blue Ridge Parkway for all kinds of activities. The options for food, shopping, and live music in the area seem endless. The pond is meticulously kept and the fishing is phenomenal. The Reger family is in tune with nature and the great outdoors. Their hospitable approach to their mountain retreat makes me want to go back again and again!

What a beautiful property tucked away on top of Bent Mountain. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the opportunity to take her daughter to such an amazing place to fish!! The Reger’s were very accommodating and in touch with everything they have to offer!! Definitely will not be our last time !!

All I have to say is you better make sure your gear is in order before you go, or you will end up heartbroken like I was. Troutfitters has some absolute toads! I hooked one fish and fought it for nearly 30 minutes before he broke me off. I was rigged with new 4# flourocarbon, and couldn't put enough pressure on him to land him. I barely turned him, and pretty much followed him as he went where he wanted! Finally, he decided to leave, and there was no stopping him! ☹️I'm going back to settle the score soon, though.Great place to take the family and kids. Clean, beautiful location. Mr. Jason was a wonderful host.
