The employees at the colonial heights va store are rude disrespectful excuses of human beings. All bc in 2 different shelves it had the dual aussie pack for $12.25 but rang up $14 and they refused to rectify the situation

check the price before going to register. *price gauging* quite a few of the stores have been shut down for it.The District manager is awful. No payroll. no staffing. Has some people work ALONE even close alone. No breaks.Sometimes machine works sometimes it doesn't and the business doesn't care.

Really clean store. Staff is super friendly & helpful. Plus I think it's great that Family Dollar hired someone who's mentally handicapped to "manage" the store as part of Make A Wish. Just be aware that they might lick you at random times and that it's important to not to freak out when they do.

Store stay closing early. Went there at 9:30 only for the door to be locked saying the system is down. Not to mention two days before that I heard the reps converting saying, “ they think we supposed to stay open til 10 cause it say that’s the time it close when we want to get off at 10.” Not the 1st time this has happened. Some reps are just lazy. Oh but want to stay on the clock.

Went into get a couple of items, no one else was in the store. Person ringing me up took his time to send a text before actually ringing my purchases. If you want to text, get the customer out of the way first, then do what you want! I had to grab my own receipt off the register, after he rung me up he walked off to grab the door. They want you in and out pretty quick, but hold you up texting on their phones! I’m sure Family Dollar could care less, they seem to only want bodies occupying their payroll, not employees who care to work. Next time in, I will be sure to take my sweet time on the phone to send a text before paying for my items!

Great staff. New management is wonderful. I been shopping here for years and see a lot of new improvements in the store. Really hope these ones stay and keep up good work

Very Rude cashier would not let me use the family dollar app for my purchase. Stated that I can't use app because it brought an item wanted to buy down to $1. If the app automatically takes the price down then and its through family dollar system so it happens when item is scan why can't I use it? Walked right out the store and will never return to spend my money there. Very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. WILL NEVER RETURN!! Worst Family Dollar store in the Area!!!!! Don't shop there!!

They expect you to take a risk with word of mouth transactions for tobacco products and then complain to you by following company procedures/law on checking ID. Store aisles are not clean with food and other items underneath selves from over a year ago. The amount of talking behind customers backs once they leave the store is very unprofessional, rude, and shows that some people truly don't care about there customers and/or job. Hired a rude manager named Erik that constantly made threats of physical violence about me to other coworkers because I simply came to work and enjoy doing so. I didn't want to write a negative review but I feel like its the right thing to do. If I do not get a apology I guess the next thing is to contact corporate after this review.

Okay. In and out with in minutes. No wait. Parking is unbelievable... Meaning hard to pull in and out unless you have a small vehicle.

The store itself is ok, never had a problem there, but today staff was talking amongst each other which was fine but the language was awful, when hiring people, they need to be reminded that customers dont need or want to hear that foul language, you're on a job, no respect at all. Aweful.

Convenience bought with somewhat higher prices. Friendly staff. Check your sell by dates...just bought Ballpark Franks expired July 20. That kinda kills the convenience.
