Started shopping here in Aug of 1987. The family own operated store are a very close knit family. They have the best deli and meats I’ve ever experienced. I feel blessed to have them in our community. The employees are kind, friendly and helpful. Thank you everyone!

Love this local grocery store. The deli/cafe in the back has awesome egg rolls and chicken. Love the bakery items too! My family can’t get enough of the homemade strawberry shortcake when they have it. Not to mention good deals throughout the month. Just wish in some areas they had more options.

I go here every once in a while to get certain things that maybe I cannot find at my local grocery store. Their prices, however, are outrageous. Kinda feel like they make their prices up. Apart from it being super expensive as I said certain things are worth going there for.

This is my local go to for groceries. Sure, it may not be the cheapest, but you cannot beat the selection and variety of stuff sold - I often can buy items that aren't sold anywhere else. Staff is always ready to help and to go above and beyond to address any need I have.

Good family owner grocery store. A little more expensive than Food Lion. Can't beat the desserts, especially the strawberry sponge cake. The freshest ingredients. Hall's laundromat is right next door. Always go there!

Let’s just start by saying the owner is absolutely amazing. Sincerely an angel. I’ve been living out this way for a few years and always loved coming in for the hot food bar. Food is by far the best thing in colonial beach. Made fresh and also the amazing desserts up front. I was parking my semi here for a while then it just got over run with dropped trailers and no room for the people who lived around here to park. Then I heard they did away with the empty trailers and I came back! It’s always a pleasure and a nice warm welcome when coming back into town to get a nice hot meal. Sometimes we are out for weeks/months at a time so halls makes it feel like home as soon as I pull in. It’s businesses like this one that make a place feel like home. I appreciate your kindness and your love for the community!

This supermarket has a old time feel. The owners live on the premises. They have meats like back in the day you dont see this often. They have a deli .i was at the counter debating on buying the most beautiful cake with strawberries n cream., so i decided not to buy and the owner gave me a complimentary piece 10.00 hunk i was pleased the cake was delicious on top of that i luv to cook .This place had every kindof season, it was a cooks dream. Some seasons was made by them again i luv walking back in time here. this is a country store worthy of the name.

I found Halls after Ukrops in Ashland closed.Always got my Whole country cured hams for Christmas from Ukrops and I have found that Halls has them plus the salted herring .Halls is one of a kind " country" grocery storewith great customer service.I got my Felts country hams today always good and gonna be Christmas gifts. The butcher was very accommodating and made sure to show me the first slice.. I am glad I found this store and the friendly customer service is awesome😊

This place is always surprising me with the availability of spices and good quality fresh meats.I prefer to do my shopping here when I can, and it feels nice to be able to support a local business without having to make sacrifices on my favorite varieties of spices, seasonings and meat.Be sure to check out their pastry cabinet up by the registers. If you can get a piece of the strawberry angelfood cake, you really gotta try it.

Emily is just wonderful! Her pies and customer service is beyond exemplary! We drive almost 2 hour one way every Thanksgiving and Christmas to enjoy her homemade pies and are always treated like family! Incredible lady, incredible store!

Granted this place doesn't look like much from the outside. But inside it is just as nice as any other grocery store and their prices are actually a little bit better. It's a small town home grocery store so if they don't carry something and you let them know they are very happy to start carrying it.For us transplant in New Yorkers they actually have Taylor Ham. If you don't know what that means to a New Yorker I can't help you but they actually carry it.The staff and the owners know most of the people personally and are very friendly and willing to help with anything you need. And if you're bored they'll chat with you.Ignore the outside of the place and go inside and check it out for yourself. Truly one of the last family owned hometown grocery stores anywhere I've been. I'll actually go out of my way to buy things there even if they cost a few cents more just to keep them in business because they are loyal to the community and the community is loyal to them. Absolutely worth a trip and I think a fantastic grocery store.

This was my first visit! The staff was helpful and friendly. The store is well stocked, finding items I would never find at Giant or Weis. I would prefer to travel 40 miles ( I live in Fredericksburg)for my weekly trip to shop there, then travel a mile to the larger chains!

Hall's is a great local grocer. The deli is always packed with delicious foods for easy take home meal planning. The staff are friendly and helpful. They update their online site with helpful updates including pictures. It is a true family business that, as a customer, is a joy to support.

I haven’t been in colonial beach for an entire yet, and today I tried their “Grandmas Coleslaw” for the first time. I don’t even like Coleslaw for real, and OMG it’s delicious! It was the last bit left and something said… eh, you never know! Give it a try! And I’m so glad I did! I also love the family owned aspect of this store. I grew up in a small town like this one and it reminds me of the little store down the street from my house. They had good homemade food too. My favorite thing of course is the fried chicken!!! Yum!!!

Had never been there but went on a trip from a friend. The folks I encountered were extremely nice. The meats looked really good though I didn't buy any, yet. I did however buy the chicken salad which was down right delicious and the strawberry shortcake was out of this world! I definitely will go back, even though it's not in my neighborhood 😊
