We had a great experience with a nail trim today at Colonial Beach Dog Grooming! My dogs are good for the most part but they've never been big fans of anyone working on their nails. My 14 pound mini dachshund is very wiggly, and surpringly strong, for such a little dog. Sue was very patient with both of them, and she had cheese readily available to encourage their cooperation. She did a great job with their nails. We'll be asking for Sue's help again soon. Thanks so much, Colonial Beach Dog Grooming!

With the current mysterious dog illness going around the country I wanted to take my pup to a place where it would be safe, sterile and away from other dogs (unlike traditional grooming businesses) so I made the trek from Maryland to Colonial Beach! Sue was so friendly and welcoming to both me and Brooks. She listened to exactly what I was looking for and was communicative throughout the entire grooming process. Brooks is looking beautiful and his fur is so soft and clean! I highly recommend getting your pup groomed here and we will be coming back in the spring!

Thankful for Sue. For me it is toe clipping the 85lb dog that is HARD. Then I broke a wrist, and doing the other dog isn’t possible. Sue is kind, quick and efficient with the task. I just have to hug my dog and feed treats. Perfect.

Wonderful groomer. My husky mix was very anxious and loud, and Sue was so kind and calm with him. When I came back to get him he didn’t want to leave😆 He looked better than he has in months, and the charge was very reasonable. We’ll definitely be coming again!

Hi! My name in Finlay and I was born with some funny shaped bones in my front legs so not a lot of groomers feel comfortable prettying me up. Because of this, I haven’t had a proper groom in a few years.But I saw Sue today and she was gentle, sweet and patient with me (I can be anxious sometimes) and she did the most amazing job making me feel handsome again. My hooman says we will be going back to see her and even though the car ride stressed me out, I’ve agreed because she was the best!(From Finlay’s mom): Sue did a wonderful job on my bestest boy and her prices are more than reasonable for the care and time she took with my pup. 12/10, would definitely recommend.

I have two cats, one of my cats has been banned from two popular grooming places because of her behavior. Susan was able to put up with her devilish behavior. I felt sorry for Susan. She did a great job, even though the devil cat tried to kill her. Both of my cat look great after their haircuts. Will be having her back again.

Sue came to my house on a last minute expedition and worked a miracle! Our cat, who we thought was a boy, she confirmed is a girl, was matted so badly. We took him in about 2.5 weeks ago and she is an entirely different cat now (I'm more ways than one. Lol) The tiger cut is adorable. If I could get a pic I'd post, but our sweet kitty won't stay still. No more matting and a happy cat/family. Thank you Sue!

I have a very long haired cat that needs groomed/trimmed about every six months due to her hair knotting up because she doesn't groom herself below the surface and doesn't like to be brushed. Yesterday I took her to my friend, Sue, and asked her to groom her. She was very efficient and had just the trick to calm the cat so she could work. She was able to trim her nails, trim her fur, and give her a quick bath with no scratches and a calm cat. I highly recommend you giving Sue a chance at making your fur baby look purrfect.

Is it even possible to leave more stars? My dog Buddy has severely overgrown nails because he’s super skittish with letting people touch his feet. Sue did an amazing job keeping him calm. And it may have taken a little longer than usual, but she was happy to help him work through his fears. Can’t hear his nails clicking on the floor anymore! And we have a long term plan to get them to the length they are supposed to be. Can’t recommend Sue more!

My Redtick Coonhound Sam visited today. He can be jumpy around new people but he warmed right up to Sue. She did a great job and it's nice having his nails clipped, teeth brushed...and he smells so good! Highly recommended.

Sue was absolutely amazing! First time having Baxter’s(alias:BoBo) toenails buzzed at Colonial Dog Grooming. She was patient, attentive and very professional. I need to add another positive…our appt was 10am and I woke late and didn’t make it there till 10:30am. I actually met Sue coming down the road in her golf cart (wife told me Sue had to be somewhere at 10:30) and she turned around to come meet me. I’m never late and have always view others time as valuable. So I told Sue “hey I know I’m late and if you need to make your 10:30 plan I can come back later”. She said no come on in and I’ll take care of BoBo. I felt welcomed from the very first words she spoke. Colonial Beach Dog Grooming is not just for dogs. Did an amazing job with my extremely matted and extremely skittish cat. I have paid over 3 times as much to have him clipped in the past. He looks incredible and all the mats are gone. I couldn't be happier
