I love this store. I'm usually in there daily, and almost always right at closing time. Everyone who works there is always helpful and in a cheerful mood even after an entire shift. Thank you guys for doing all that you do and making it convenient to shop for groceries without having to go to Kroger everytime. Quality items, affordable (dollar isle) , and convenient.

The store is nice the management is awful. She will continue phone calls while ringing you at the register. She is very condescending and doesn't offer to fix her mistakes on the register with coupons and so forth after you have pointed them out and shows aggravation when you ask her to. She is always complaining about personal issues with workmans compensation and so forth with customers when I'm more interested in completing my transaction.

Prices are pretty good, generally a few cents higher than grocery stores... But the wait times are ridiculous for check out. They only run one of the registers, even when there are 6 in line.Often, I can drive the extra minute to and from the kroger and still save time.

Not only was there a line for days but the cashier legitimately took her precious time and you could tell she was doing it on purpose at that ! Customer service is usually VERY good here . Just this one particular employee is why I give rating 2 stars . When she isn't working it's a 5 star all day from me

Best place in the world to get everything you need for your household! I buy all my laundry detergent, paper towels, dish washing liquid, trash bags, gallon, quart, sandwich, snack bags, foil, other laundry needs, etc. Also, the $ store here in Covington, Va has the most courteous, helpful, spectacular group employees (ladies) out of any store I have ever been in! In fact, 1 of these special ladies helped w/my "husband" when he became ill in the store and we had to call the ambulance. A perfect example of kindness and what makes a good employee that cares about their customers.

I went in and the line was backed up into the isle. There was 2 women working at the front but only one ringing up customers. One of the ladies was so rude when I asked her for help I don't think I will ever shop there again, there is a Walmart 15 to 20 minutes away. I would rather deal with that than rude employees. The lady that was rude was named angel a. Very rude ask for help she acted like it was an inconvenience. Went back in her office. The other cashier had to go back in her office to ask her for help. She came out huffin and puffin and made a disgusted kind of puff of air unpleased to be on the sales floor. I can't put into words exactly the way she acted towards me, but I promise you if I acted that way where I work to a customer I would be no longer employed with that business. In these troubling times I would never want anyone to lose their job I pray and hope that she does not get in serious trouble over this in fraction to a customer. But she just needs to have a sit-down talk to about no matter how bad life is treating you you leave it at home and you smile and fake it for the customer. and if it's work that is pissing you off that bad then maybe you should look elsewhere for work, just saying. She must be a manager because she came out telling the other associate what she was going to do and what time she had to do what she had to do. I just moved to Clifton forge I hope this isn't what I have to expect from businesses around here.

I love Dollar General in Covington VA. It is larger and better kept clean. They have very nice employees the only suggestion I would make is that they make sure all items have prices on them, or install a Scanner where customers can scan UPC codes and get prices without bothering the Cashiers.

The stupid alarm keeps going off announcing customer assistance needed in whatever aisle but they have nobody working to help except the cashier who has a line. The kids know if you walk down the aisle it sets off the alarm. They have a ball. It's annoying as well you get the picture. I was in there 10 minutes and had to leave. Poor employees...

Love the prices...but felt bad for the guy checking me out... assistant manager was balling him out...he was dammed if he did and dammed if he didn't. She was ridiculous. Manager Rhonda is wonderful!!!
