Excellent one stop shopping! Everything from groceries to toiletries to cleaning supplies to home decor, etc. This store is always clean and well stocked with merchandise. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They have great weekly sales and I love getting my sale ad every week with my newspaper delived right to my mailbox! If you like coupons, they have weekly specials that you can download and save a ton of money.

I went to dollar general to return a candle and a shower cap my wife bought earlier this month. The Manager was rude and claimed that the candle had been used and argued with me when I told her that it had not been used and neither of the products have any damage and both were in the unopened. packaging they came in( with Receipt). After I explained my wife just gave me the item and told me to return them and that I had no idea when they were bought or why. When she looked at the receipt she and saw the date for earlier that month she rudely stated and chuckled under her breathe. Then she continued to ask what was wrong with the shower cap, to which I replied “ I don’t know she never used it and obviously it’s not for me” then she through both items back across the counter and into the floor and stormed off claiming she was going to call the police. And yelled that she was refusing to take the items or give me the information of the store manager. Wow another employee stood right there beside her pretty much with a bag of popcorn. Once I picked everything up out of the floor I turned around and walked out to look back and see her (speed walking) towards me with a phone in her hand and she continued to talk to whoever on the phone while giving me the evil eye as I drove away. She also refused to give me her name and wasn’t wearing a name tag. But from my perspective she was probably in her mid-60s white hair and from her attitude she was probably going through a midlife crisis. Whoever is above her in the Clarkesville location should really review the video and check who you have working for you. After she threw my stuff across the counter and told me she was going to call the police. I will be getting in touch with whom ever is above her and I believe that she should be held accountable for her attitude and actions. I came into the store calmly and have never had any issues with anyone at this store before. After being insulted and refusing to do her job I feel that it is outrageous that people like that are allowed to work in public. I hope that the management at Dollar General will address this issue and I will be continuing to contact the management at the store because this is incident is outrageous and ridiculous.

Whoever closed the store on 10/29 (taller middle age white woman) closed the store 7 mins early and tried to act like she didn’t see or hear me knocking on the door. Other than that I always get great service hence the 4 stars.

My husband and I went to this market the other day for sale items. Looking around the store, it is unnerving how high priced a lot of the items are here. Without warning, the digital coupons were not working. The cashier did not seem to know much of anything going on, and asked for help by a very rude person in charge. I did not get her name. She was stressing out the cashier, and they were kind of arguing in front of us in line. When the coupons were "down", the person in charge was very short with me about how there was nothing they could do about it, and rattled off to me about an email they received and blah blah. Made me kind of uncomfortable. Luckily, we do not go here often. Absoultely no professionalism here.

Nice to have coupons every week and decent prices, but it isn't uncommon for the prices to ring up up to a dollar different than the shelf price. There never seems to be more than 3 people working and rarely more than 1 register open, despite the number of customers in the store. Often employees can be found gossiping near the front office while one employee handles a line of customers clear back to the seasonal section.

Every time I visit this dollar general market the employees are rude. The bathroom is always "out of order" which is very annoying because I have 2 children that always seem to need it as soon as we get there. I go looking for items that are a percentage off and they never have them and if I ask about the discounted items the employees seem mad about it. I really don't think employees are told to be friendly here they make shopping here very uncomfortable.

Large store with accessible isles. Very friendly staff. Was taken care of quickly and I found bargains I wasn't even looking for. Wow! I got a seedless watermelon for $2.00 even! We're camping at Longwood...I wish we had a Dollar General Market like this one in Henrico !

The shopping areas were nice and neat but my girlfriend went to use restroom and it was out of order. I went to check the men's for her and it was absolutely disgusting. Some of the vegetables were in really bad shape.

I bought plants from the Amish lady who’s there on Friday and Saturdays they have maintained there beauty and fullness sense day one, way better than major chain stores. I will be going back.

They put sales racks on the sidewalk with 50% off, then after you spend time picking your items, only a certain brand name is on sale. Why even put the items that are NOT on sale out on the sales racks? Also, the manager had a nasty attitude about it. When she said "read the sign" she said it in a VERY nasty way. There are only a few stores in Clarksville, but I don't have to shop where the customer service sucks!

Prices are low, but variety is limited. If you know they have exactly what you want, it's great, but for a normal grocery list, you might still have to look elsewhere for certain ingredients, particularly produce.

I always make sure I go to this store whenever I visit VA. Philadelphia isn't lucky enough to have a DOLLAR GENERAL with fresh produce available and other items that aren't in my local DOLLAR GENERAL😊.

I selected my two items and then decided I'd rather take my chances on paying more as Food Lion, because there were only two registers open and five or six people in each line, although one girl was standing at a register but wasnt open.

My wife and I took a trip to Clarksville Virginia from Durham North Carolina we saw the Dollar general market we went inside very very different and very nice all the staff was nice to no one was rude to us nothing like that in Durham will be going back to Clarksville soon

One step up from your usual Dollar General. they carry produce and a pretty vast variety of non perishable grocery items and well as lawn and garden item and seasonal decor.
