Read the reviews and decided we had to try it. That was a great decision!! This is a small restaurant at the back of a BP gas station (not a Shell like someone else indicated). You order at the grill then pay up front in the BP mart, then come back to get the food. Not fast food—made to order! The pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast with Cole slaw on it was very tasty, tender and not fatty, and the bacon and cheese fries were awesome, and enough for 2 to share. Highly recommend trying it!

My son and I stopped by on our way to Radford after seeing some online reviews. It’s a gas station restaurant…not expecting 5 star atmosphere, just good food. I got the pulled pork sandwich, and was really good! My son got the Philly cheesesteak. He absolutely loved it. Super nice staff and everyone in the place had smiles on their faces. Seems like a place the locals really like.

What happened to Tony and the old morning kitchen staff? Grill is so slow now...takes literally 15 minutes to get a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. It use to be fast, friendly and really good food. I've reviewed this place numerous times over the years and raved about it. Now I'm just sorely disappointed and many of my coworkers who have eaten here over the years have noticed the change any are just as disappointed as me.

Completely unexpected gem we found in a small truck stop off I-81 in Virginia. Very obvious the chef knows high quality. Probably one of the best turkey subs I’ve had since the Carnagie Deli in Manhattan, you can just tell how it was built and rolled. The burger my husband got was huge and delicious, it’s not often he actually finishes a whole burger but this one sure did! Even the fries were crispy, hot and seasoned with salt and pepper. So fun there was a Willie Watson sticker varnished into the wooden table, we went to school together in Watkins Glen where his Dad was the wrestling coach!! My brothers ate friends with Willie, such a small world! Bon Apetit!!Vegetarian options: I have never before seen a Vegetable Philly on a menu. Very cool choice!

I went in kinda later than normal. I was debating to have Truck Rations, but read the posts here and decided to give it a try. First time in, I was uncertain what to do, so I winged it. I was mentioned what I needed to do, the cook brought out my meal. The fries were hot, the burger too... I like my food a lil cooler...so I waited, ate the fries. Everything was super good, I was hungry to begin with, just right portion. I'm a truck driver, thought I stay here for the night. Glad I did on this windy night. I'd recommend this to anyone passing along the 81. Open 24 hrs. Exit 109. Sunoco. Thank you, Little River Grill.

Everyone back there is crazy talkative. Love chatting with the 'dyslexic' older gentleman. They're just having fun back there.Food is great. When I want a works burger, no mayo, with sautéed mushrooms/onions, and onion rings. I can count on it being warm and greasy. And their À la Carte breakfast pankcakes are from 3.5-5 depending on who's on the griddle. One guy makes 'em 'huuuge' and he wasn't lying. lol

I never knew this restaurant was here. The atmosphere and food reminds me of when I was a child and was raised in an old diner. Brings back wonderful memories. Country diner home cooking. I did not realize that there are still small country cooking establishments still around. Highest compliments and thank you for bringing back my childhood memories.

Thank You Little River Grill ! This small hole in the wall truck stop, gas station and grill is doing a GREAT job !! I had the pulled pork sandwich. I cannot say anything to make an improvement on it. Excellent pork , homemade delicious sauce. A perfect size sandwich. Fries were hot and crisp, just the way I like them. Thank You Heather, for your happy, polite attitude ! And to Granny for the preacher cookie explanation. Old style business done just right.....Update . 10-24-20So the menu has changed . Food seems mostly the same. Prices have increased a little . My only complaint so far is the half order fries is gone . Half order was more than I could eat but they are good . Now you can only get the full size , about a half a pound for $2.50 . Way too much food to go with a sandwich order for one person . Sad day for me . 🤬🤬🤬

Stopped for gas and went inside to find “gas station food” to hold us over until we found somewhere to eat- what a pleasant surprise to find the grill! We got the French toast platter and an egg omelet at 7:00am, it’s 4:35 pm and we are still full! Everyone was extremely friendly and I’m 90% sure they played the soundtrack for Dirty Dancing while we ate- I could not have had a more enjoyable experience.

Love this place! The only reason I didn't go 5 stars is because of a taco salad I had there was not all thatWay too salty and the meat was bland,but hey everyone makes mistakes .All in all this is a good place for lunch and reasonably priced.

Always enjoy eating here!! Yummy food and quick service and pricing is very reasonable!! I stopped in a few times while my boyfriend was in the hospital!! This is a great place to grab a quick bite and get back to ur loved one!Parking: Lots of convenient free parking! There are always several truckers parked there but they are completely outta ur way! Handicapped won't have any trouble getting in!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs won't have any issues getting into or around in the store!

The food never disappoints me. This go round I had a hot dog and onion rings. They served all-beef franks and a nice portion of rings. The bun was a little hard, but I think it was toasted on the grill.The meal was the right amount of food for my appetite 😋I highly recommend coming here for a bite.
