I moved to Ettrick in September and started going to this Dollar General. They have the best staff there. They are so nice. They got to know me by name and talk to me every time I go in there. They're very helpful. I was looking for something specific one time and they didn't even have it sitting out yet but had it in the back and took me back there and let me choose the color and size I wanted. I go there several times a week. They're in the same shopping center as food lion and I even try to buy food drinks from there instead of food lion.just to give them my business. I love this store. The app is great and the deals are awesome!

Be careful people with this store and their prices. They may not be what they are marked as. The prices can be double at the register. I bought a can of kidney beans marked as 60 cents, but was 1.15 at the register. A gallon of drinking water was marked as 1 dollar, but I was charged a 1.50 at the register. A 50 to 100 % markup. I realize that prices are going up, but Dollar General is price gouging with false advertising, and that's a crime in Virginia!!!

The general manager is great and I greatly appreciate what she did for me. The store lost power and there was no way I could receive my package being that it is an fed ex on site location. I made a few phone calls and she went out her way to meet me at the closed store and gave me my package.

Been going to this DG for a very long time. I've seen the staff come and go. The beginning of spring( or sometime near then)they really started cleaning up. I have noticed new faces coming and going. I absolutely love the staff their now. Both ladies are always so pleasant. I talked to one today and she said she'd be there for few more months. :( she will be opening up a new store in Petersburg. Don't lose her she is wonderful...the store is small but always busy. It's nice to go in now and see smiling faces. I hope it stays this way♡

The young lady there was extremely helpful and very informative which made my decision making for Christmas gifts extremely easy and accurate. The gentleman there was also very helpful and both were amazingly professional. I will definitely visit there again if all Employees are as wonderful as they are. Thank you!!

Always takes me at least 30 mins in here because its always 1 line open and a uncaring cashier....definitely needs to improve customer service & cleanliness of the store. Needs a professional manager to keep up with inventory, they never have what I'm looking for SMH! Will continue going to the dollar General off the Blvd in colonial heights! Longer drive but I can be in & out & get what I came for!

Even though it's close to residence, this place is Always in disarray! Half the time you cant move through the aisles because of the stocking pallets; which are Everywhere!! It's like nothing Ever makes it to the shelves! So the pallets, which are appx 6-7feet tall and 4-5 feet wide, consume the aisles! As far as checking out, be prepared to stand in line because there's generally only ONE register open! Oh, you may get a glimpse of another associate; on way out front to smoke or heading to the very back of the store to disappear.

They are cheaper on things like toiletries, laundry products, pet items, hair care, and a little bit of brand name make-up etc. They also have some other cheaper things like a little food and drinks, holiday decor, pajamas, socks and underwear for men and kids, linens, curtains and other household items and cell phone chargers are cheaper. My cigarettes are also cheaper there.

Went there today to get simply a card and earbuds and i have to wait 15 minutes in a line. Cashier's can be way faster and helpful.
