They said guaranteed service. We just wanted to go out and around our property instead they had to put it up in the woods. It costs $1,300 to install. Had a service call to fix a break that was in the line in the woods and charged over $900 highway robbery. My dog end up getting out of the fence it was killed by our car on the road. I would go with somebody else besides invisible fence.

So here is my review. I HATE the owner. His daughter is very nice. And the installers really do help out a lot. I have a Wolf. I needed an invisible fence to keep him in.The installation and pice I can understand. Things can be a little expensive but the installation seemed easy enough.My issue is the collar. I needed a 4 prong collar because 2 prongs don't meet the connection to keep him in. He won't feel it.I have went to the establishment FOUR times to fix it. Each time... the collar breaks after just a few weeks.I then call. Have to drove 60 miles to drop off the collar. Then pick It up.He then called me and told me this final time he won't be fixing it anymore. He doesn't have the "equipment". So now I'm on my own. I called the Chantilly VA location and now they can assist me in repairing the collar. Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous. For the money I have spent, I was hoping the care and customer service/repairs would be there for me. So thanks so much for making this process difficult. I also contacted their competitor in the area and he was amazing helping me. He didn't have to. So don't go with this company. That one is called DogWatch in winchester.This owner also sent me back my collar in PIECES in a bag. So I literally had to put it all together.Service: Dog fence installation

We have had I.F in the past. Tried out the underdog brand for a bit with the new house. No where near the quality of I.F. they came out last week. Got me an estimate. Kyle was out today for the instal and did an amazing job.(A small business owner myself and attention to detail being a big thing for me)His work was very quick and clean. After the fence installed we walked through the initial setup and first training session with both the dogs. Not only is he great with his work but awesome and patient with your pets as I'm sure all the technicians are. Once again a system I can depend on. Thank you to you and everyone in the office. Greyson thank you so much for suggesting an upgrade to the new invisible fence system. Our golden retriever jumps on neighbors because he knew he could run thru the old system. Since we’ve upgraded we haven’t had a bit of problem! Thank you for standing behind the product and providing professional excellent customer service! And to think I almost had a regular fence put up. Not only did upgrading the system save me $1000( I would have spent more on a regular fence) my husband is so happy he doesn’t have to mow around a fence!

100% piss poor customer service. I have been calling for well over two months for replacement equipment. I have been given the run around each time by the owner, who has “promised to get things resolved”. I’ve called in on two separate occasions to speak with the owner (I don’t recall the gentleman’s name), only to be told “Call me at the office tomorrow between 7am-8am..”. I’ve called in both times only to reach the voicemail. The initial installation was done incorrectly, in which, the wire was barely buried. They did come back out to bury the wire, but it’s only buried 1-2” in most areas. My wife and I are beyond frustrated because we paid this company for its services, which have not be fulfilled on this companies end. Do not invest into this location’s services. They are quick to take your money, but if you have any issues whatsoever, they will not be there to help. AVOID!!

Troy and Ryan arrived this morning to repair a break in the fence wire caused by a contractor performing work in the backyard. We knew we had at least one break. They located two other breaks caused by an installation of a new vinyl fence we had done last month. The service they provided was outstanding. Troy was extremely courteous and professional. We have had Troy out in the past when I have inadvertently cut the wire myself doing yard work. Each time they arrive promptly and perform the work efficiently. We've had the Invisible Fence installed by IFB of Apple Country for 6 months now and it's been working great for us. Two older dogs trained up quickly and never break the fence.A couple of weeks ago we got a new puppy and called to have them come out and help with getting the new guy up to speed with the fence.Brad Sigley was the tech that came out and he was GREAT!Brad got our new pup set up with his collar and spent the time to "train" us on how to train the pup. Really regretting this purchase. They have not returned my calls for weeks now. Just a few months since purchase and I've had and am still having lots of issues.As owners we are not able to do any troubleshooting ourselves, it's got to be done with specialy equipment and by their techs, except that they aren't available and don't answer calls.My dogs collar is malfunctioning, this is not safe. At first it was shocking him in error, we had a tech come out, he reprogrammed it during the fence install. It seemed to work better, then, we noticed our dog started to run out, the collar works sporadically and the level seems very low, the dog is ignoring it.I've called them and left them messages, they don't call back. I messaged the tech directly, still had his number from all the install delays, he said no one is available to come to service/reprogram the collar, and not sure when they will be able to.The catch is they have to use dealer-exclusive programmers to adjust the collars, we can't do any adjustments or programming ourselves.The tech recommended tying up the dog, I tried that, our puppy chewed through the long leash, the tech said to get a wire cable, our puppy just got tangled in it and started crying. Keeping the puppy inside all day is hard, he wants his yard to play in and relieve himself.Then the tech said to look up another store, and take the collar in for reprogramming, tried that there are no open stores around right now.In addition, it took months to get the fence installed because they were short staffed and we've had to repair the breaks in the fence 4 times now, each time they were not available in time and we had to hire handyman to come fix it.

Then, the office personnel hired was less than desirable. But, since then, I understand that the office personnel has changed and when I called was greeted with professionalism and knowledge. Love the product would highly recommend. Would've given a five but on 3 different occasions i go to the store and there wasn't anyone there, and the hour says it closes at 4. I also asked for an estimate on something and its been over a month and haven't gotten it yet.

I never write a bad review about anyone or any company I tend to keep to myself. However, this company deserves one because they are one of the few options you have for invisible fencing for pets.I have a construction company and hired them. I would never use them again. First off the conduit that protects the wire from the side of the building into the ground is about 2” from the ground and I have bare wire approximately 7” laying on top of the ground. Easy for something to hit it and break the wire, “which broken wire isn’t covered in warranty”’, secondly they did not fasten the conduit to the wall so it just bounces around, and it’s not level. Thirdly, they had to borrow some of my tools to get the job done, which wasn’t a huge deal until other issues kept happening. Finally, with my project they left rocks all over the yard, and I mean giant rocks something that you have to move or your mower will break. I have 3 acres of wood they could have thrown them in pure laziness.My father also hired them to do a fence at the same time and they brought one worker who was not capable of running the machine so my father had to work 4 hours for a fence he just paid for. Helping dig by hand, and run the machine or he wouldn’t have a fence.We spent approximately 7,200$ in total. I can’t even get a call back after a week to talk about these issues. I’m petty enough to sue them for money back if I have to fix it.On top of all that, the warranty is life time but you have to pay them service fee and buy any material needed for the job. So you get no warranty don’t be fooled. I knew that ahead of time after I questioned them and debated on it but figured if the job was done well I wouldn’t complain...but boy was I wrong.UPDATE:The wire did snap and the conduit did ripe out of the wall causing my fence not to work. GO FIGURE. I called them back but the number was disconnected.Luckily, I was able to find another place to fix the issues.Would not recommend this owner.

We just moved to the area and decided to get our dog an invisible fence. Smoot came out within a day of me calling and walked me through the entire process. Sounds like he's been doing this for 30+ years!!!The installation process was smooth and easy thanks to Brad. My dog has bee picking everything up quickly. I am excited about the freedom and peace of mind this product is going to offer me.And who knew they had automatic doors that lock and unlock so that your dog can let themselves in and out. Really cool product!

We have had our invisible fence for 16 years. Over the past 16 years, this is only the second time we have had a problem. Brad Sigley responded to our call. He was on-time, very polite and helpful. He determined that we needed a new battery, new transmitter, and there was a break in the perimeter wire through the driveway. He was able to repair everything in a relatively short period of time and saved us from having to replace the entire system (with it being so outdated.) I highly recommend invisible fence and will continue using their product as long as we have dogs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This was our second install with Invisible Fence of Winchester. Our first encounter, while not terrible, left me a little underwhelmed with the install that the technician performed.We decided to give them a call again with our new home and the owner, Smoot, came out to give us a quote. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He was disappointed to hear of our dissatisfaction with the last experience and told us to contact him directly if we had any issues moving forward.Shane Sisk came out to our house on time, walked the perimeter of our property with us to map out the area we wanted covered, and explained the whole process to us in detail. Shane did an extremely clean job on our install and left us completely satisfied. He was professional and courteous and ensured that all of our questions were answered. When the fence installation was complete, he walked the property with us to allow for inspection and even walked with us as we gave our doggies a refresher in invisible fence etiquette.5 stars! Would highly recommend after the professional job that was performed by Shane and Invisible Fence of Apple Country.

Invisible Fence in Winchester, VA, are the best around for ensuring the safety of your pets. We have three golden retrievers on a piece of wooded property that makes it hard to place traditional fencing. The Carter family did great in supplying us the right solution. Carly educated us on the product, the team came out when they said they would, and did a professional job. We were concerned as this was our first time using the product, but I wish we had done it sooner. Today I lost one of the collars and Smoot was kind enough to set me up with a new one. They are professional and kind and I highly recommend the product and their services to anyone looking for a solution to their pets’ needs.

I’m not going to lie... When my husband said he wanted to get an invisible fence, I was dead set against it. I thought I would be smart about it and have them come out and give us an estimate and answer questions and that would be there end of it.I called and set up an appointment. The person we worked with was/is Shane. We have long hours as we work in NOVA but live in WV. He worked around our hours and came out after hours. He was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable.I made no secret that I wasn't on board with this plan, but he answered all my questions. My husband was sold. I was still hesitant. To make me feel better, he came out on did the installation himself. He stayed after he finished the training to make sure I was 100% comfortable.We did as he told us and worked with our pup for a week, then the day came to let the pup out without the safety net of a leash... I wish I could say it worked perfectly. It didn't. My ding dong of a puppy ran right through it. No hesitation...3 times that day. After the 3rd time I called Shane. He was out the very next day and made a slight adjustment and worked with us for quite awhile to gain back some of the confidence we lost.My dog hasn't run through the fence since. He runs like a mad man through the yard and he is perfectly happy...I even let him out without his collar one night 🤦🏽‍♀️ on accident. We have a little hockey puck device for the house to keep the dog out of the cats room - no problems.Now, Towards the beginning we did come home one afternoon and the system was beeping indicating it wasn't working. I again called Shane. He was out the next day and took care of the issue. A tree had broke off and damaged the underground wire. Took him less than 15 mins and we were back up and running.Through all of this Shane has been amazing, patient and helpful. I went from being dead set against having the fence to recommending it to anyone that is looking for an alternative to tie outs and traditional fences.

They charge way too much to just dig holes. Quote was about 2200 + dollars for .35 acre lot. I can remodel my shower for that money. I decided to do it myself using sport dog brand (bought on facebook marketplace).It cost me less than 400 dollars to do it myself and I did it well. last two years, they charge my neighbors 1200 bucks for .5 acre lot.So either its discrimination or they literally trying to take advantage of folks during these tough times. Either way. Lower your price .

We have used Invisable Fence for over 20 years with several dogs. Recently my 15 year old dog was found outside the yard heading to a busy road. He has never left his boundaries. He is old and confused at times. He was unable to hear the tone due to his age and loss of hearing . We really didn’t think he needed the collar anymore. Wrong !!!I was able to pick up a battery even though store was closed. Smoot went out of his way to make sure I had a battery before a winter storm .We replaced the battery and another escape prompted a follow up service call. Shane worked it out so he could come same day!Turns out it was an defective 15 year old collar.Would highly recommend them to anyone to keep their dog safe even old dogs! Peace of mind for owner! Haven't even had the system hooked up for a year, and circuit board went out, was supposed to have a surge protector on it according to the installer last September. And the collar stopped beeping. Service call is $145 then $95 an hour!?!? Really, I was told that what it takes to repair their products. Circuit board was covered under warranty, thank goodness! But the other charges, really $240 later, and hasn't been a year yet. Well we are done and NOT referring them to anyone!!
