I recently re-located here from California and left behind an amazing reptile shop there. I was so worried about being able to find quality food, products and information for my Leopard Gecko. I was so happy to find Simply Pets. Whenever we go we bring the whole family and it’s the best experience to be able to see all of the animals they have and how well cared for they are, and be able to pick up what we need for our own Gecko. We recently purchased a new two tier hide for my guy and his favorite thing to do now is stare at himself in the reflection of the glass. My guy cannot get enough of their Dubia Roaches and he is picky so they must be a solid quality in his book! I appreciate their reward system and they have such friendly staff. I always look forward to taking a trip to Simply Pets and am so grateful for them wiping away the worry I had when we re-located here. Thank you Simply Pets and the whole team. PLUS - the sleepy noodle ferrets along the back wall are always my favorite stop. We have decided when we are ready for our next reptile or ready to try out ferrets that Simply Pets will be the only way we go.

Great store! This place has everything you would need to supply your fish, reptile, birds and rodents. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend the store for any beginner or an advanced hobbyist like myself.

My wife and I come here for our feeder foods, supplies and even new family members to take in. Really nice staff, always super helpful and friendly. You can tell they really care about the animals and their environment and that’s the number one priority. They run specials occasionally which is great for the locals and I’m sure if you’re looking for something they don’t have, they will probably be able to point you in the direction you want. Always super knowledgeable of lots of species and helpful 24/7. These guys are great you should definitely check them out!

I go here for all my pet supplies and pets! Always so helpful! This is my new gecko I got from them, they asked me many questions before allowing me to purchase her. I love how they make sure whoever is buying knows how to care for said animal. I also buy my fish from here, they are all so healthy!

I went there on my way up to DC and then back to NC. Bought a lot of fish. They put them in huge bags and boxes for me and they did great even being in the car 12 hours.Also bought a gorgeous red striped gargoyle gecko for a steal of a price.Staff was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable. This is a great pet shop!Don't miss out. Great selection of fish, plants, reptiles and supplies. They earned my long term business!

I go to simply pets once every week to buy crickets for my frog, The Colonel. They've been my pet store since I first found him and showed up there with him in a McDonald's cup and gave me the knowledge and tools to take care of him as my first ever frog. All of the staff are incredibly kind and educated and I look forward to my weekly visit with them.

This is simply one of the best pet stores in The 7 cities. Over the years, I have singing. Simply pets grow to what it is now. The management and staff are some of The most knowledgeable when dealing with the animals that they sell. I am well aware of other pet shop In the area, but this place it's samply, the best.

Great place for pet needs. I’ve had various pets in the past and present and they’ve had what I needed. Great selection of supplies and their staff is insanely friendly. They’re so helpful. I don’t even live close by but I’m willing to take the drive to go there for what I need.

I will say I love the progress the store has made. I went here for the first time in 2019-2020 the care didn’t seem too great with dead reptiles in tanks along with the husbandry being not so great.. HOWEVER recently this is my go-to for reptile needs the care has significantly improved the past couple years! Staff is super nice and knowledgeable!

I absolutely love my blue tongue skink I got from here. They helped me get everything set up. Went in for an aquatic snail. Left with no snail and a new expensive reptile 🤣 I ABSOLUTELY DON'T REGRET MY PURCHASE! Bingo is a wonderful edition to the family. I still would like a snail 🤣 so please dont send me home with another expensive reptile

I've been in this pet store many times over the years and have seen it grow over the past 3 or 4 to make room for more fish tanks and other things. I don't go in there much but when I do I always enjoy admiring all the fish and saying "Hi" to there "mascot" which is there beloved cockatoo named "Coco". I try to buy from them often as I like to help a small business like theirs versus a big box store.

Best pet store in Hampton roads. Great selection and amazing customer service. I had paid 6 celestial danios there for cheaper than I’ve seen anywhere else and received an extra 2. I would give more stars if I could.

This place is great. My wife went in to Simply Pets pretty irritated with our snakes habitat heater set up. We needed to find yet another heat pad for our snake habitat. This would have been the 3rd pad and thermostat in less than a month. The young lady was so incredible and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to listen to my wife and realized that what we actually needed was something entirely different for the snake we have. She set my wife up with everything we needed and sent her on the way much happier than when she arrived...which was a plus for me. 😁😁This is now our go to pet store. You need to go here if you have any type of pet. They were really awesome. Thank you Simply Pets.

Started out loving this store, purchased several thousand dollars worth pf products over the last few months. The owner is AMAZING unfortunately his employees not so much. 2 weeks ago we went to buy my son a snake and cage, and the young lady with the buzz cut was very rude and condescending as well as very agitated for whatever reason that we requested to buy a particular snake. Spoke with the owner, hoping the young lady was maybe just having a bad day. he finished helping us and all was good.Returned today to purchase some supplies, was offered no help after I witnessed the buzz cut girl telling the young man about me and the snake issue. So when I'm done shopping i get in the line to check out, I'm patiently standing in line to check out, he looks up "what you need?" Um to check out, I am standing in line at the register. Sadly me and my husband both agree. Last dollar spent in the store, I'll drive farther and spend more before having people be rude for no reason. Hopefully employee bad attitude doesn't drive all the customers away because the owner is great!
