I felt extremely disregarded and not prioritized at this location. As a veteran of the US, I have been all over the country and for the first time ever waited 50 minutes for two common prescriptions. An employee lied about being a manager, only to hear my concern and then reveal she is only a shift leader IN TRAINING. That same associated neglected to ask me if I wanted to purchase a bag for my PERSONAL items, and instead handed them to me with no eye contact. Nor did she greet me. However, Phillip the actual manager came through with amazing hospitality and compassion. Thanks Phillip!

I want to start off by saying that I don’t ever post my dissatisfaction of services unless I think it is strongly warranted. I went to the Walgreens on pantops during the store opening hours (8:00) to find out their pharmacy doesn’t open until 10:00, so I traveled all the way to the other side of Charlottesville to find out this one doesn’t have any pharmacists that administer vaccines, so now I have to travel all the way back to the other store to wait another hour for their pharmacy to open, I work an overnight shift so I am unable to do this during any other part of the day. I am genuinely disconcerted for the lack of professionalism of both of these stores and hope that there is change that comes with both staffing and hours of these locations.

Recommend choosing somewhere else for a vaccine. Made an appointment through their portal a week out. The day of the appointment they canceled because the pharmacist didn't show up to work. Told me to come back they next day for a walk-in appointment. Came back the next day and the store manager said the pharmacist was backed up and wasn't doing any vaccines. Pretty frustrating to take several hours off of work for this.

Horrible experiences at the pharmacy. Only here because my usual place was out of stock. Never again. Same med 2x from my favorite place across 29. Grabbed a soft drink on the way out. Clerk was wrestling with a customer, I just laid $$ on the counter and walked out. The place is dump. Shelves disheveled, no stock. Read the other reviews.Only one star because there is no lower.

Really irritating that I called a prescription in maybe 3 days ago and it said it went through. And now the pharmacy is temporarily closed. It's not like I can just go without my medication. Would be nice if they told their customers this ahead of time

Agree with the many negative comments. The pharmacy staff are unbelievably rude and I will not excuse their behavior because of understaffing, since there seems to be several working at any given time. Regardless, the last time I went to pick up my Rx having received a text that it was ready, there was one person at one window, so I stepped up to another window where an employee was doing something but then walked away. I just waited quietly and respectfully. Meanwhile at the window where there had been a customer, the customer left so there was no one except me to wait on. I stood there for at least 10 minutes before I asked the employee at the other window if I could please pick up my Rx. She said, "You're at the wrong window. You're at the consult window" Seriously!! Neither her, or the other employee who walked away from me cared enough to ask me if I am being helped. Not the first time getting attitude from pharmacy staff. Another time when it was quite busy, one pharmacy staffer just walked around patting the back of fellow workers telling them what a great job they're doing. Somehow that translates to good management. It would be funny if they weren't being paid to be professionals and rude to customers who are inadvertently paying their wage! After going to Walgreens in other States for years, I will now try Target.

I wish I could give this pharmacy 0 stars. It's a shame too because up until last 6 months it was only the occasional problem with them, as it is with most pharmacies. However recently they have been beyond awful. I understand that there has been nationwide difficulty with shipping, however this is a near constant problem at this pharmacy. From antibiotics for my children, to monthly prescriptions, they seem to never have anything in stock. Not only that, but multiple times now they have said they will have a prescription ready and when I arrive (well after that time) they have not had it ready. Then they will say it will be ready in 2 hours. I'll come back the next day and it still won't be ready. Then they will finally say it is out of stock and won't be in for days if not weeks. Twice this has been after my doctor's office has already closed so I can't even quickly call them to have the prescription sent elsewhere that day. And don't even try calling them on the phone. The last 3 times I tried that, I was on the phone for 30 minutes each time and dealt with a snarky and unhelpful woman on all three occasions.That leads into my last point, the majority of the staff there is incredibly rude and have no business working at a place where they have to interact with patients and customers. There is one woman there who is always so kind and amazing so I don't want to lump her in with the rest, but she is the only one, and if someone from Walgreens wants to contact me so I can describe which one she is, I'd be happy to do so. She deserves some recognition and credit. The rest are horrible, rude, and absolutely useless. Walgreens should seriously consider looking into their pharmacy staff and take out the garbage before they lose all their customers. That being said, we are contacting our doctors office and having our prescriptions sent to the Target pharmacy. They seem to be the best place on this side of Albemarle now. ✌️ Walgreens.

Zero stars. The pharmacy is run by a bunch of clowns. Literally the most foolish experience that I have had with a company. I will get my prescriptions filled by a veterinarian before going to this place! I was told that my script would be ready in an hour... I drive 40 minutes to get it only to be told by someone that was impossible to understand (heavy accent) that there was no prescription for my last name. Come to find out, the prescription that was written could not be filled because Walgreen's stock had expired. No one told me this, wasted a trip, the script was very important to get asap. Never again Walgreens! DO BETTER. FAILURES. Oh I almost forgot the best part!... As I lowered my head in frustration the clown "tech" behind the window hangs the phone up and walks away!!!! What the frick! Zero apology nothing! Then has the NERVE to act like it was my fault! I dont know how people maintain employment acting like this...

This particular pharmacy doesn't even deserve this one star.My doctor's office electronically sent 4 prescriptions to this location after an office visit yesterday. I waited two hours to give them time to get the prescription ready. Drove nearly 30 miles to reach the pharmacy since we live in a rural area. Was told that the prescriptions were waiting for the pharmacist to review and to come back in one hour. I did that, and returned when the pharmacist was on a scheduled lunch break. At that point there were no other customers in the pharmacy. Upon seeing the pharmacist return in a few minutes, I got in the now quite long line only to be told that they only had one prescription for me. I called my drs office to confirm that everything had been sent, and was assured they had been, but offered to resend them.All during this time, and me questioning them, one pharmacy employee, Danielle, was so busy trying to listen to everyone's concerns that she became rude and defensive with myself and other customers. She also was telling other customers that she would have their rx ready in 10 minutes because she would do it herself because they were being "nice" after which she would look directly at me for my reaction. The pharmacist was no help in diffusing any of theproblems and concerns of the customers who only wanted to pick up prescriptions they all really needed.I have never personally been treated so rudely by an employee of a business.I had my Dr resend the remaining prescriptions to another pharmacy nearly 40 miles away where they were filled quickly and professionally.My insurance requires that I use Walgreens to my displeasure, but I will certainly never return to this particularstore. If the pharmacy cannot be managed better than that, it should be closed.

I do not normally leave reviews, and when I do, I try to only leave positive reviews because I am a firm believer that businesses--like people--have bad days and shouldn't be faulted for them.This Walgreens is having a bad existence.When we first moved north of town we tried using Walgreens as our go-to pharmacy. They constantly mishandled or were not able to fulfil our prescriptions so we transferred to another pharmacy. During the pandemic, when vaccines were in short supply, Walgreens seemed to have more scheduling availability so we gave them another shot. Unfortunately, they have been consistently and unilaterally terrible on this front as well. Twice now I have scheduled my child for vaccines and received confirmation emails the day before her appointments only to be told when we get to the counter that the vaccine is not available. In addition, I myself have waited for over an hour for a scheduled vaccine appointment because the people working behind the counter "forgot about me." Even when there are 8+ pharmacists working, wait times are always atrocious and, worse, confidential information gets mishandled or misplaced.This location has been awful for years, and it's clearly not going to change. If you value your time and your health, I strongly recommend finding a more competent pharmacy for your needs.

If I could give zero stars for this location, I would!First of all, I was able to make an appointment for a vaccine on a Sunday. My husband and I get there and was told that the pharmacy is closed on the weekends. Why was I able to make the appointment? I rescheduled the appointment for during the week and my husband isn't feeling very well and needed to reschedule. Wasn't able to get it get taken care of online, so I had to call the store. Good luck in getting thru the "automated" system. Once I finally got to an actual person, I asked about the pharmacy manager (they don't have one). I asked for the store manager. I was on hold for a very long time when Leslie (she said she was the store manager) answers the phone. Very unfriendly, NOT helpful and does NOT seem interested in anything the customer had to say. I have been a Walgreens customer for over 25 years and I am used to getting real customer service. Too bad I thought all Walgreens were the same.

I have never written a review but this was needed. Quite possibly the worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a ton. My prescription was ready yesterday, I came in and they said nope, 2 more hours (this was an hour before close), so they wrote my name down for coming in the next day (today). Then I come back today and they said they filled it today and then someone put it back so told me 15 minutes, then to get a call and they said wait time is now an hour. And not to mention this after the 6 people in front of me were also told their prescriptions wouldn’t be done until after close so come back Monday. Some people have medications they can’t miss a whole weekend on and these people are not even showing empathy to the customers. No wonder they’re short staff…

Extremely rude and terrible service. Prescriptions are often cancelled without notification. The person answering phones is rude and won't let you speak. Prescriptions are not filled on time. To get a prescription filled you have to call several times, will be promised a time, then it will not be ready. My mother has had to go days without her needed meds. Do not use this pharmacy if having your prescriptions accurate and on time is important to you.

Gobsmacked, it not the *they just doing their job and a Karen angry* kind of “rude.” They’re legit rude as hell at this location. Not only were they so rude that my jaw dropped to the floor. They wouldn’t even transfer my prescription to another location. Every other Walgreens has gone above and beyond but this location was so bad that it was shocking.

My doctor ordered my medication Sept 7 its now Sept. 20 nobody has called me and when I called they said they would call me back about my medication never happened so I call them again today and waited on the phone for 40mins finally somebody picks up the phone and tells me they don't have my medication as I'm talking to her she puts me on hold and the phone just rings and and it hangs up on me last time I will ever have my medication sent here I understand being short staffed but to never call and hang up on me about a medication is absolutely unprofessional

Daniel in the pharmacy is bad at her job and lazy and there manager does absolutely nothing to fix any of it. I could go on and on!! Do not go to this store! They don’t even know how to add in your insurance cards!

Over the summer I went to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack, only to find out that it was an anxiety attack. I was prescribed a dozen lorazapam (sp?) in case I ever felt that way again, I could hopefully avoid the expensive hospital visit. Thankfully, I have not had to use them. But, at my physical yesterday the doc advise me to get the refill because they can expire. So I called Walgreens. I was on hold for 15 min so by the time the woman came on I was in the process of having blood drawn and my phone was on speaker across the room. So I said loudly that I needed to refill a prescription. The woman said that for yelling at her she was going to put me back on hold. When she came back she said "Thank YOOOUUU for calling Walgreens. How can I help YOOOU?" making it very obvious it was still her and she knew who she was talking to. I repeated that I needed a refill and told her that I had her on speaker phone so wasn't yelling just trying to be heard from across the room. She said "uh huh." and asked for my DOB and what I was refilling. When I said that it was Lorazpam she said "Of course it is." When I asked for her name she told me to have a nice day and hung up on me. I have reported it to management and corporate and await their response. But belittling people with anxiety is small and petty and gross. You should be ashamed.

Sorry, but I must agree with Dylan. The person mention is indeed rude. I could not get my order because of a screw-up on their end. If you need to go to a Walgreens, use the Rolkin Road store. Professional and excellent customer service.

Hate to be the person who leaves an angry review after leaving a Walgreens when the whole country is understaffed and overworked, but I went in for my booster shot (I’d made an appt online - the site must’ve malfunctioned bc they didn’t have it listed). I understand this was my bad. However, the pharmacy didn’t have a lot of customers. I saw the pharmacist turn a person away in front of me because he went to the wrong Walgreens (the other Walgreens is over 20 min away). When I realized my appointment didn’t go thru on the website, she refused to give me a booster, even though the next available appt listed online was three days away and I’ll be traveling then (hence why I scheduled this appt when I did). I thought we were supposed to be vaccinating anyone who wanted it? Id already wasted over 30 min of my lunch break… how many other people try and are turned away and don’t try again? So annoying! I ended up going straight to a VDH Vaccination Station and got the booster as a walk in within 10 minutes. Will not be returning to Walgreens.

I had to come to UVA for my son's surgery and just so happened needed a medication filled two days after arriving. Being about four hours from home I called the pharmacy and the lady I spoke to was more then helpful. The next day the Dr faxed my prescription and they filled it without any issues. They were fast, very friendly, professional, and so helpful. I am so grateful they could help me out in such a bad situation. She really took some weight off of my shoulders! I wish I could remember her name but she answered the phone was at the drive thru. Wonderful people! Amazing!

The pharmacy is closed for the last 3 days and I can't get my meds. Due to the constraints on the medication, it can't even be transferred to another Walgreens unless the pharmacist can talk to the pharmacy at this location. But they can't cause they are closed. Catch 22 with a patient in the middle. Horrible and I am not the only one in the situation.

I just had a most pleasant experience at my local Walgreens all due to the wonderful customer service of the person working at the front register, a young gentleman named Conner. I stopped by Walgreens on my way home to get a couple of food items, quick in and out. As I walked in the store, I witnessed a store employee (later identified as Conner) helping a customer who was trying to purchase a hair dryer. The hair dryer she wanted was on sale, but wasn't ringing up with the sale price. He took the time to find out what the problem was, then asked the customer if she wanted to use her Walgreens Rewards. She said "no" because the card didn't work the last time she tried to use it, phone number was wrong. Again, Conner explained he could help her fix that issue, only take a few seconds and she could use her rewards card on her current purchase. About 15 seconds later, all fixed and a happy customer! After witnessing how easy it was to update a Rewards card right there at the register, I asked Conner about updating the phone # on my own Rewards card, in addition to discovering my card was actually showing under my 13 yr daughter's name. Conner helped me fix both issues there at check-out in a matter of seconds AND managed to help another customer on the phone without missing a beat. I want to recognize Conner for providing exceptional service today and recommend the Forest Lakes Walgreens to everyone!

This Walgreens is by FAR the WORST Walgreens I have ever dealt with!!! There is hardly ever a pharmacist there at the store and they NEVER answer their phones! I am currently on hold and have been for over an HOUR now!!! CVS can't even get them on the phone to transfer an RX!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!

Sell your prescriptions for one fair price. Here is an actual exchange i had with my local Walgreens. I was given a price for a prescription. I pushed back that it was too expensive. So they gave me another lower price saying that was the Walgreens price not the msrp. Still too much so they said i could join the prescription club for yet another lower price. So i said what about good rx? So they gave me yet another lower good rx price. I noticed there were lower prices available at other retailers so i asked them to match it. They said no but did offer yet another lower price. So i received 5 different prices for the same prescription.And even then i left and got it for even less at Kroger.The pharmacist was polite, friendly and accommodating.

I give them two stars because the store and store employees are good. But the Pharmacy is terrible! What makes it so bad is they used to be great. They used to have customer service oriented and intelligent employees as techs. I don't know what happened to them but they all just left! The people who replaced them must have been the only people they could find. Because they have no customer service and are terrible at their job. Wallgreens should find those employees that left and beg them to come back. Or they will be begging their customers to come back from the CVS across the street!
