First vet we actually LOVE going to! He is GREAT with little Chutney. Place is immaculately clean, and everybody super friendly. So glad we found WAG, and don’t mind driving 45 minutes whatsoever to know we are in great hands. We’ve both had pets for over 35 years, and it’s the best experience we’ve ever had. The entire staff were truly wonderful! I adopted Buzz from ASPCA last year in January and today was his first check-up. I was so nervous about how his appointment would go. To my relief, they were really caring and treated him like he was family. They are understanding, patient and willing to listen to concerns without judgment. When you want a family who cares about yours; Wag Veterinary is the place to go!

At last, a wonderful veterinary practice in Ivy! We recently switched vets for our senior dog and are so glad we did. Dr. Jesse and the staff are competent and compassionate, and my old pup sensed it as he wasn't stressed out when we left (as has been the case with other vets). Dr. Jesse is down to earth, thorough and patient: good listener while also offering helpful advice. Reasonable prices, too. Highly recommend!

I can not say enough good about Wag Vet ,took my little Luna for a teeth cleaning today and the staff and the Doctor were just amazing. I am so happy that my fur baby is going to have a healthy smile to go onto her 4 th year of her life.

Dr. Bejar is amazing. We just took our 13-year-old dog to see him for the first time, and immediately got answers and treatment options we hadn't been able to find anywhere else. SO glad we went! He is incredibly knowledgeable, and good with the owners as well as the pets. (Took the time to explain everything in a way we could understand it, answered all of our numerous questions, etc). The new space is beautiful, the staff is kind, everyone is on time and friendly. So glad to see Wag open and highly recommend it!

Today I switched to this veterinary practice and I now feel like my puppy and I are in competent hands. The minute I walked through the door, I felt welcome and that the staff genuinely cared about my puppy's illness and all that we have been through trying to get him well.Dr. Jesse was honest and upfront regarding possible outcomes, expectations and costs. The doctor's assistant was super helpful and thoughtful. I finally felt that there was a team of people who were going to help me and my puppy--and that I would be included as a part of that team.I also got the sense that I will never be ripped off at this establishment and that whatever care is rendered will be necessary care.I highly recommend this new practice!

Truly, one of the best veterinary experiences I have had. Dr. Bejar is so knowledgeable, personable, and knew exactly how to work with my anxious newly adopted dog to put him at ease. The vet assistant and the staff up front are all wonderful as well! Dr. Bejar's prices are also so reasonable and lower compared to other options I've seen in the area.I highly recommend them!

We've taken our beloved pets to Dr. Jesse for years. We love him and the way he cares for our animals. I took our dog there this morning and, as expected, Albert received the high level of attention we've come to expect from Dr. J, who is patient, loving, and never takes himself too seriously while taking his work very seriously. His new clinic, WAG, is gorgeous: cheerful, full of light, and comfortable for the animals. It's wonderful to see Dr. Jesse finally have his own business and we will be his loyal clients forever and always!

We recently adopted our dog and realized something was wrong with his paw shortly after. To our relief we were able to get an appointment quickly. The entire staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. Dr. Bejar was incredibly patient with our dog (especially since we only had him a few days and weren’t sure how he was going to act). Dr. Bejar wasn’t able to get the best look at his paw due to our dog being scared but nonetheless was able to offer antibiotics and steroids based on his symptoms and what he was able to assess. He called us a few days later to make sure our dog was responding well to the medication which we really appreciated. We highly recommend Dr. Bejar and the Wag staff.

He is always thorough, explaining everything in great detail giving you the knowledge you need to make decisions. He genuinely cares about each of his patients and is a great vet. We brought our puppy here after switching from another vet and we absolutely love Dr. Bejar and the whole team, as does Luca! De.Bejar is kind, empathetic and really does a great job walking us through everything with the diagnosis + tests and answering questions. It was clear he was personally invested in Luca's recovery and treated him like his own pup. To top it all off, they don't overcharge like some other places in Charlottesville.

We took our cat into WAG after he came out on the losing end of a fight. We were very pleased with the whole experience. The clinic is beautiful — with a higher quality environment than any vet clinic we have been in and better than 95% of medical clinics we know. The spaces are welcoming, cheerful. The facilities are first rate, and the staff friendly and comforting. Dr. Bejar is very experienced and knowledgeable. He zeroed in on our cat’s problem, treated him, and our cat is back to his old feline behavior. We will certainly be returning and highly recommend WAG.

We took our cat to Wag and had the best visit with Dr. Bejar for an annual check up. Riding in the car is really stressful for our kitty but she actually seemed calmer (!) on the ride home! Dr. Bejar gave her a thorough exam, listened to our concerns and reviewed her past health history completely. His office staff was lovely and we will definitely be going back. So glad to have them in the neighborhood!

We took our 8 week old puppy to Dr. Jesse for a full physical and orthopedic evaluation and it was a fantastic experience, our puppy was extremely relaxed in his care and Jesse’s demeanor was very professional yet very friendly and approachable. He took his time evaluating our puppy and answered all of our questions and concerns, We will take our dog to Dr Jesse at Wag for his entire life!

Dr. Jesse Bejar is the very best! My 3 chocolate labs and hound dog have been seeing Dr. Bejar 4+ years. Jesse is kind and patient and will listen to all of your concerns. He is also gentle and nurturing when it comes to your pets care and needs. Jesse will explain treatments and ongoing care in a way we can all understand.Wag Veterinary is clean, modern, and fun. After greeted with a smile from the front desk, you can grab a tennis ball or cat toy to play with your pet. The waiting area is large and comfortable and the exam rooms are sterile and plenty. Consider Wag Veterinary and Dr. Bejar for your pets future primary care needs.

Dr. Bejar and his staff have been wonderful with my two dogs, quick to see them, and candid and compassionate with me - holistic care of the entire family, dogs and their human alike.Particularly grateful for their care of my older beagle, who has had some recent mammary tumors (including malignant one). Wag successfully treated Myrtle, seeing her quickly and making sure she had the right care, and continuing to monitor her. I appreciate Dr. Bejar's honesty, openness, and kindness in discussing her diagnosis, options for treatment, and the staff's continued thoughtful and diligent stewardship of her health. Cancer was a hard diagnosis but I felt we were in good hands and that made an incredible difference.Transparent and reasonable pricing, friendly office manager and tech, clean and bright clinic, handy text and email reminders.
