This CVS has earned 1.7 stars.I watched a guy in the pharmacy pick/ scratch his nose while handling perscriptions.I've been told "We'll call for you when it's ready, you can hang out in the store, should be 15 minutes." 40 minutes I waited patiently before I went up to ask. It had been ready 20 they just didn't bother saying anything. They put a lot of fragrance in the air making it hard to breath for someone allergic to many fragrances.

Great place! My car unexpectedly broke down and I had to go somewhere to call aaa to get my car repaired. Luckily this cvs was nearby and the guy working there was so friendly and let us use the store phone, while at the same time charging our cellphones to give us battery. I wish I knew his name so I could Thank him again for saving our butts, but it was on a Saturday night if that helps. True definition of a great and going employee right there.

CVS in general sucks. But, to be told that your medication is ready, to find out it’s being withheld (was there all along) and to get there wasting gas is definitely too much to deal with. Attitudes need to be checked and the location is dumb and inconvenient. I liked when it actually was at the barracks road shopping center across the street.

I got a MinuteClinic appointment the same morning of my allergic reaction and had a great experience. The nurse practitioner took her time helping me and answering my questions. The store is clean and well stocked.

Worst experience, wish i could give a 0 star review. My other half and I went there to do a gift exchange for diapers that our baby does not fit anymore and the worker had no problem doing the return, but he called his manager Evan to see if we can return 2 opened diapers and the worker said we can but Evan declined to do ANY returns, even with the unopened diapers. Like how come you said we can return them and then all of a sudden we cannot. Very bad experience when i’m just trying to return diapers that do not fit my baby for formula to feed.

Hours for this store are to midnight. I arrived at 11:55pm needed medicine to combat a severe migraine but doors were closed and locked. If your store is open until midnight.....then be open until midnight!

I had a great experience at the Minute Clinic and this CVS pharmacy when I was in VA on vacation. The clinic had an available appointment within 15 minutes of my arrival; the NP Kelsey was very kind, thorough, and addressed my issue in a timely and friendly manner. The pharmacy tech Jakya was also very friendly and super helpful, they filled the prescription quickly so I could get on with my vacation day. CVS is my go to pharmacy and I'm glad that I picked this location that day.

Why is this pharmacy so awful? I can never get a hold of them by phone, and neither can my doctor. When I can actually contact them the pharmacy staff seem to be pretty pleasant, so I give them a star for that. For the front area of the store, I've been rudely fussed at by an employee because I was trying to buy OTC allergy medications for my suffering, allergic sister (employee said I can't buy them for someone else... what??). Why. Is. It. So hard. To do anything. Here. Prices for things are dumb, but that's all CVS stores.

When I had to stop at CVS after a long day I was so drained. After finally locating the few items I needed I checked, and the nicest cashier helped me. His name is Elijah, and he was just quietly attentive and helpful; he was a human!!!!! And he refreshed my tiredness immensely and probably didn't even know. Thanks Elijah

Personal phones should not be allowed to be used while on shift. My transaction took forever because the girl helping me didn’t click the cashier screen after I paid with a credit card. Why, might you ask? Because she was too busy texting. It’s cool though, I’m never returning to this location.

Yesterday I needed antibiotic prescription filled for painful eye infection. Went to pick up an hour after sent in. Was told that it would be “expedited” and to come back in an hour. Had to get a replacement antibiotic later that afternoon. This time called to find out when prescription would be ready. Sat on hold for a half hour and realized they would not answer the phone. Went back and found that prescription was not ready. Waited 40 minutes before going back to window to find that they had failed to call my name out when order was ready. Throughout the wait a loud speaker is broadcasting “One call for Pharmacy” over and over, about every two minutes. That plan must come from corporate, because no one at this pharmacy is answering the phone. Employees are polite and dealt with frustrated customers who expect that their prescription will be waiting for them patiently. Bottom line: If you need your prescription, don’t bother to call, go there and tell them you are waiting so that they call your name (maybe) in a half hour. Or try to find a better pharmacy.

One star because 0 stars isn’t an option.Pharmacy - the employee who reluctantly (after 15 minutes on hold) answered the phone, mumbled so badly that I had to ask 3 times what he said. This interaction happened at 3:30pm on Thursday and he said the medication (in stock) would be processed and filled by late morning the following day (Friday).Friday *afternoon* comes around (4pm) and the medication still says in process (????). Glad it wasn’t something urgent.By now I’m realizing that all of the previous google reviews were correct and not an exaggeration. I call another CVS to get the medication transferred to them, and she states that we unfortunately have to get ahold of the Emmett St location to take the medication off hold so she can fill it. We both sigh, and she tells me “yeah they don’t really answer their phone” (!!!!!).You know it’s bad when another location confirms all of these horrendous reviews. It took her and I both calling this location, both on hold for over ten minutes, to have the medication taken off hold.Unless you have a lot of time to waste on your hands. DO NOT BOTHER coming here.Do better CVS.

All these one star reviews are there only because there isn't a no-star rating! This is the Chernobyl of CVS pharmacies. Long waiting lines with only one clerk doing therm all, no-answer phone service, and closing for lunch at their convenience, not yours. My physician emailed an Rx at 2 pm yesterday. After numerous efforts to call this CVS, I was told that the prescription would be ready by 7 pm. Not taking chances, I waited until 3 pm there following day. Waited in a line of nine, only to be told prescription was still not ready, and that they were "days behind". Drove home angry, and as I pulled into the driveway, got a text that prescription was ready! O?n a positive note, one staffer was pleasant. Another, not so much, I think as a result of telling customer after customer "Not ready". CVS, what's the deal here? Staffing? Or what? I'm finding a new pharmacy. This one is a sinkhole of poor services.

I've been moving my CVS prescriptions as they expire, but still have one. Requested a refill, was told it would be two days, checked after three days and it still wasn't ready. The fourth day a robocall told me to come and get it.After a long wait to turn into the parking lot from Barracks Rd I found the drive-through is closed because of staffing shortages. Went inside, long line at the pharmacy window. Waited. While I was there three people were sent away because their prescriptions were not ready at the promised time. Eventually got served by a polite but clearly overloaded clerk. But you don't have to put up with all the hassle that is CVS.When I got that medicine, I went back up Barracks and Preston to Top Notch Pharmacy, which is locally owned and not corporate. I had called in a prescription Friday afternoon about 3. Just after 5 the same day I had a text to say it was ready. Picked it up Monday AM. One person in line ahead of me. Lots of people working in the store. Staff and customers all seemed to be in a pretty good mood. I recognized a lot of the staff as people I'd seen before.I don't know what Top Notch is doing that CVS isn't (and the nurse at my doctor says she's hearing about less serious but similar problems at some of the grocery store pharmacies), but Top Notch has a well-trained and friendly staff and seems to do something right to retain them. The location and hours could be better. They don't sell much besides drugs, so you have to run down the street for that quart of milk and bag of chips, but they handle drugs really well (and they deliver them).

Do not try to get your vaccine booster at CVS. They have canceled 3 appointments it's for me. All. All 3 appointments were canceled within one hour of the appointment time period the last appointment was canceled within 9 minutes of my appointment time period period the pharmacist claims they do not Have a way to track how many vaccines they have to meet the appointments that are scheduled periour scheduled. The pharmacist was completely unconcerned and told me to go back Online to make another appointment. Who. Who would make a 4th appointment it's appointment after the 1st 3 were canceled canceled and after they admitted they don't keep track of the vaccine supply in relean supply in relation to their vaccine appointments. Appointments. This place is horrible no one should use their business

TLDR: after getting conflicting messages from various automated systems, I tried to call the pharmacy and straighten things out but was put on hold for over 40 minutes on a Thursday afternoon.I had been getting my prescriptions through CVS for several months, using the website to monitor everything and make sure I was on schedule. The website indicated I could refill two of my medications on 7/13, but then a few days before 7/13 I got texts from CVS indicating I would need to talk to my doctor to get the refills approved. I made a list-minute telehealth appointment and my doctor approved the refill. Immediately I got another set of texts from CVS saying that it was "too early" for them to refill my prescription, and that they wouldn't fill it before a certain day. This would have me without my medicines for 3.5 weeks which is unacceptable and unsafe. I'd had enough with the conflicting messages from automated systems, and wanted to speak to a person to get this issue resolved once and for all. When I called the pharmacy I was kept on hold for over 40 minutes, despite google analytics indicating that the pharmacy was "less busy than usual." I eventually hung up and transferred my prescriptions to Wegmans. I recommend a different chain altogether, but if you want to stick with CVS, at least use a different location.

AVOID THIS BUSINESS LIKE THE PLAGUEThis is the worst managed, least efficient, rudest business I have ever had the displeasure of frequenting. I seldom, if ever, write bad reviews - because what could be so bad?....this CVS is.First, they simply do not answer their phone. Last week I was on hold for over an hour never an answer.Second, they simply don't fill prescriptions until you show up. It can be a week after it was sent in by your doctor, and (BTW) after you received a confirmatory text, and when you show up they will say "it is not filled yet but will be ready in 15-20 min". Basically, their approach is that they simply don't fill prescriptions until people show up. I asked one of the clerks and he confirmed this, which had to be the case, as every time I come in for a new prescription I always happen to coincidently arrive 15-20 min before they were going to fill it....amazing.I guess I could accuse them of purposefully making people wait, since if you are waiting you are more likely to buy other merchandise - but on this I have to give them a pass, but only because their regular checkout is so dysfunctional that you can't buy regular merchandise even if you want to (often no one in person checking people out and all automated checkout machines broken). It is unclear to me if the store is badly managed, understaffed, or simply cannot handle the volume of traffic they get - either way, we should take pity on this store's struggles and spend our dollars elsewhere...either way, this will solve the problem of this wonderful example of how truly disastrous a business can be.

Worst cvs I've ever been to. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY AT ALL. They do NOT know what they're doing at all. They absolutely suck. I waited almost 2 hours, while my sick daughter sat in the car sick. The guy who enters the insurance information doesn't know what he's doing at all. He literally refused to talk to our cvs pharmacy on the phone to get help entering the insurance information. I literally had to pay for my daughter's prescription so she wouldn't suffer through the night. They are horrible and not nice people at all. He literally did the same thing to the people in front of us. They need to hire people who know what they're actually doing. I would not recommend this cvs to anyone. Please go somewhere else and stay far away from this place.

I wish I could give lower than one star. This CVS is horribly ran. I’ve had an issue almost every time I have to pick up or refill a prescription. I’ve been on hold for 40 minutes. The people don’t know how to use the computer and ask me like thirty times what my name is and what my birthday is. Occasionally the staff seem genuinely angry at me for needing my prescriptions. It feels like, me, wanting to pick up my daily medication that I need to live is apparently a nuisance. I get texts saying my prescription is ready to pick up and it almost never is. I tried to switch to CostCo but cvs would only allow them to fill 30 days and my medications are on opposite schedules. So I ran out of one every two weeks and had to go through begging CVS to give me my medication which makes me feel like a crazy person. I am already mentally ill and seriously feel like this is making me MORE mentally ill. Getting my medication should not be this difficult. These are just antidepressants and a mood stabilizer. I have never heard of anyone abusing Pristiq.. as it would do nothing for you. I take my medication as instructed but they make me feel like I’m doing straight crack. Can’t wait to have my brain chemistry ruined by running out of my medication yet again! So awesome!

I couldn't refill my medication online because there was a note stating I needed to call the pharmacy. Spent an hour on hold over the course of two days (outside of CVS lunch hours) but was never able to get them on the line. Called the CVS on E Main Street and they picked up right away and sorted everything out in a couple of minutes.I recommend going to 208 E Main Street or another CVS with a better rating if you're in the Charlottesville area.

First of all, how are they still in business? The pharmacists in CVS are incompetent, unprofessional, and unbearable.Visited them a few times for a medication and got zero result.Got fed up and went to Wegman pharmacy instead and got it solved in less than an hour. The whole CVS pharmacist crew is a joke and I wish I could give them zero star in this rating scale. What a disappointment and humiliation to all pharmacists across the country.

Worst CVS and worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to by a lightyear…. Avoid this place like the plague at all costs. Long wait lines, nobody picks up phones…. Weird excuses for prescriptions not being filled. Simply inexcusable. Do not fill prescriptions here, please don’t. You’re life may literally depend on it.

New and shiny but Who cares lol I was in a hurry so I Tried the fancy drive thru and a hand written note that says drive thru closed greeted me upon arrival. So I went inside. No problem. I was still in a hurry and the pills I ordered a day ago weren’t ready and at 9:30am with no one in the building I was told it would take 30 min to fill. I wouldn’t be so annoyed by this if it were the first five times this has happened.Something needs to change here I will most likely transfer to another pharmacy since there are many options in town. I know it sounds crazy but I pick up my dads meds at Walmart and I personally speak to the pharmacist almost every time and I know his name lol it’s Cody I recommend him highly also I never wait lol Walmart is like the Andy Griffith show compared to this cvs. Also I attached a picture of what I was staring at while I waited. Spoiler alert it’s a half eaten chocolate egg sitting on the nebulizer display lolAlso it’s quite nerve wrecking to sit and wait and hear the automated phone voice announcing how many calls are not being answered. Every 30 seconds “four pharmacy calls” “five pharmacy calls”Final thought: I work in customer service and if the people were more kind and sounded more genuine in their response to the inconvenience it would go along way. But the labored response that took energy they didn’t want to spend on me wasn’t well received by me or the three customers I watched walk out of here swearing under their breath! (100% true)

Literally had my wisdom teeth taken out today and when I went to this CVS, they didn't have HYDROCODONE. HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE HYDROCODONE??? They didn't even tell me that they were out. Instead, as I walked back to my car I realized that it was missing and had to go back inside and wait in line while bleeding out of my mouth. Like how as a mega chain pharmacy are you out of the the most frequently prescribed opioid in the United States?

I recently went to pick up a blood pressure pump with 2 of my clients who are mentally disabled. They both picked out some Halloween toys and juice. We take them out so they can learn different things like socializing and how to pay and how to get change etc. I got to the front to check out and was asked how I was paying and I responded that I would be paying with my card , a lady named Caroline or maybe Carol pointed at the self checkout, I told her I needed to be checked out by a person. She was chit chatting with someone she seemed to know, I didn't mind that nor would I have minded if she finished her conversation, I was in no hurry. She rolled her eyes at me and slowly went to the register. She did ring us up but I will not go to that location again. I couldn't believe that

The worst CVS I’ve ever been to in America. The pharmacy staff are rude, slow unhelpful and disorganized. They actually watch you wait at the counter and pretend to be busy looking at their screen or on the phone. If you have any question at all they send you to the “consultation window” and make you wait another 15 minutes. It’s a great location and could be super successful if they upgraded their pharmacy staff.

This review is mainly for one person, Carol. She treats customers like this is this CVS is a 5-star hotel. She sought me out, helped me get a walk-in appointment, asked about my day, and then after my appointment (20 min later) remembered me and congratulated me on my soon to be born child. I’ll be a more regular customer because of how wonderful Carol is. You’re awesome, Carol.

This place is understaffed and overbooked. Horrible. We waited for an hour for my son's minute clinic appointment. The building is clean and the facilities are modern though.

This CVS has badly mismanaged its provision of vaccines. My wife and I waited two hours for our flu vaccines before giving up. I would suggest looking elsewhere, at least until they figure out how to schedule the number of vaccine appointments that they are capable of providing.
