Bodo’s had great bagels, but I didn’t love the cream cheese. The bagels were cooked perfectly, but the cream cheese was way too runny. I also would prefer that they cut the bagels in half after putting on cream cheese to make it easier to eat.The staff was super nice and the prices were very reasonable. Also, great mirror to snap a quick selfie so I could tell my parents I was eating a bagel.

I'm from NJ and can be particular about bagels. This is one of the best bagels I've had outside of the NY/NJ area! They're actually cooked like bagels - not regular bread molded into bagel shape. That seems like a low standard, but it's not met most of the time! These are cooked to perfection.I agree with another reviewer who said they'd prefer the cream cheese to be a little less runny, though.Service is very fast. I was here for the lunch rush (and have been to the other location on Emmet St.) and their system is impressive. You shouldn't have to wait too long. The prices are also pretty reasonable.

Amazing bagels, speedy service that you will need even on a Saturday morning.I enjoyed a whole wheat bagel with white eggs, ham, and cheese, but you cannot go wrong with any choice.Coffee is also good.

This location is in the heart of UVA. Best bagels in town, seriously you can’t find better bagels. The only issue with the place is parking can be difficult to find for nonresidents. There is a paid lot behind the building that usually has spots available but be sure to pay as they do tow frequently. I pay no matter what at that lot. That tow truck has no remorse.Don’t be intimidated by long lines as Bodo’s knows how to make that line move, just like a New York Bagel joint. I’m a huge fan of the egg and bacon sandwich on an everything bagel and my kids just love the bagel with cream cheese.Parking: This location does not have its own parking but the lot behind the building usually has spots. Be sure to pay for parking as they tow frequently.

Going there on a Sunday morning is an experience. The line will be long but it moves fast. I got a capicola everything bagel with kalamata olives, feta cheese, and jalapeño lime schmear and it was fantastic, you can taste the freshness of the bagels and the customization means there is always something for everyone. I just wish they had sweet tea along with their unsweetened counterpart.Vegetarian options: Since you can just get a bagel with cream cheese there are plenty of vegetarian options and the ability to mix and match. With some meat selection you don't need it to make a delicious breakfast sandwich.

The Covid safe setup outside was organized and efficient. On a Sunday morning, we waited only 10 minutes from order to pickup, and the crew was incredibly delightful! I got an everything bagel with egg, sausage, and cream cheese. YUM!

Wow! What a delicious bagel. Definitely not the most traditional bagel but a horseradish pastrami bagel with the works came out to around $5 but made for an absolutely delicious way to start the day for brunch. The sesame bun and fully loaded toppings provided one irresistible bite after another. The portion sizes don't look too large but it was able to fill me up without any issues.

Bodo’s Bagels is a UVA staple. Coming in at 10 am, the line was out the door. Luckily, they move extremely quickly. There was only 10 minutes between the time I entered and the time I got my sausage and 2 egg bagel. The eggs are a little bland but you get a lot of food. Unless you’re very very hungry, I’d recommend only getting the single egg.

Great bang for your buck. Plus, the food is great. It’s a Charlottesville institution. Even when it’s busy you don’t end up waiting too long. Pictured: Bacon, egg, and cheddar on everything.

Service was very fast even though they were very busy, bagels were fresh. The coffee per usual cold and tasted like it was burnt.

The everything bagel itself was good. However, I wish I had picked a different creamcheese than herb. It was primarily dill and the note of dill was all that sang. I asked the cashier what was in it, would there be chive? He said yes, it would have to..... that is a negative.

Bodo's is a Charlottesville institution for a reason. The corner location is almost always very busy, but they move quickly. The bagels are reasonably priced and good quality. The deli egg is my favorite, but everyone gets something different and it's hard to go wrong. The honey pecan cream cheese is unique and delicious.
