Had not been in Big Lots for awhile. Phillip ( the lil short guy) was there greeting customers and checking people out..I could not get over to Big Lots last week with a coupon offer I received by email..sign up to receive there emails and get a rewards card. I noticed many shelves empty in the back of store with cosmetics..soap..etc...but if you like Suave brand there are many interesting new Suave shampoos and conditioners .raised my kids using Suave ..used to all be 99¢ now in a range of basic Suave to fancier versions..good variety in Big Lots if you like Suave brand ...if I had a pet I would definitely be buying some of the new pet dental toys...Arm & Hammer had expanded into the pet supply arena now..check it out on the photos ..BL pet supply department is well stocked ..when you check out up front you will be asked to donate to the charity of the month.. be sure to donate or round up..BL will give you a thank you $5 coupon to use on your next visit.

I hate to leave a negative review because Big Lots has some good things, but the cashiers are lazy. A price will ring up wrong ( clearance, mark downs) and they just say "oh sorry" with no effort to make it right. Happens alot

I visited this big lots around lunch time this past Thursday. This is the biggest Big Lots I’ve ever been to!There are a lot of choices here. You can buy a couch & Christmas tree to a phone charger & milk! There were also at least 10 employees working so you can find assistance very easily if needed.This is a great store to find good deals in a clean & nice atmosphere.

Love going to Big Lots. Very clean and organized. They also have a lot of furniture if you are seeking some furniture and rugs. They have such a nice assortment of everything you can imagine. Also has food , items for dogs and cats and now they have lots of Christmas trees and ornaments and everything you would want to buy for gifts as well. The workers are nice and helpful too.

Well, there are a lot of different items at this location. There are clothes, house goods, appliances and furniture. There were quite a few pieces of furniture that I would get, if I had the funds to do so. I would suggest you go and see what they have in stock, you just might be surprised. However, for all my people who would need a power chair for assistance they do not have these, so enter if you can walk. You can take a break on the furniture if you need to, which is what I did.

My daughter was interested in purchasing a couch. She found one she liked, and searched for someone to help her. One lady who worked there asked what she needed, then told her to wait for another associate. She waited. The other associate told her she would be with her in a moment. She then took another customer before my daughter. The price tag had a sale price on it. The sale was over, but the tag had not been removed. On the back of the tag was another sticker that said floor model $500.00. When a third associate finally came over to help her, she rudely told her that Big Lots does not sell floor models. That's odd because my oldest daughter bought a floor model at another location. We informed her that the price was still showing the sale price. She ripped that ticket out, and said she would find out how much it was. Then, instead of going to check she told us that they didn't have any of those couches left. Probably why the sticker said floor model $500.00.My oldes daughter drove to the Culpeper location and found the same couch. The sale price was still on it, and they honored that price. Very helpful and attentive! Thank you Culpeper. We won't be purchasing from Charlottesville Big Lots again. The bad thing is, they weren't even that busy. At one time, there were 3 associates at the furniture check out. Only one of them was helping a customer!

I LOVE this place. They have some awesome deals and awesome staff. Some of the friendliest people I've met.Funny thing is that I actually bought my bed from here after weeks of looking and debating with beds in traditional furniture stores in Charlottesville. When I walked in and saw what king beds they have to offer, the quality of them, and the price, I was sold in like 2 minutes.

I had a return and got poor service at this Charlottesville location.I went to the Culpeper location and had a 5 star experience with the return. I am super happy with the staff at the Culpeper Big Lots.

No manager on duty to fix issue of price, marked $2 on shelf, rang up $4. My friend had same issue with Aleve PM marked less on shelf, than it rang up $2 more. Again, no manager on duty?? Funny. I won't shop here again.

This is a really nice Big Lots with literally, a lot of square footage. The store does not seem like it is going to have much to it from the front entrance looking in but holy moly when you walk in, the place is huge. The store is very clean and very bright. They have a large assorted selection of items, households and even furniture, immediately on hand. The prices are reasonable for what you would expect and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.

Cashier that was up there today ,5/30/23 around 4pm, was beyond rude. I guess she has something against people using the $10 off coupon so she did everything in her power to not scan my coupon. My items were left there and a sale lost. Won't return.

Love it. Bathroom is always clean which is important for an old lady like me out shopping. Had lots of mark-downs in summer stuff like 50 percent off. Brought table clothes, outside bar stools, and some chair cushions. Great variety store...one of my faves.

Haven't been in this store in a long time. Besides been too warm in the store everything else is great. Nice displays and great lighting. Only talked to the lady that was at the checkout shr was friendly and really nice. I will be back.

If you've been to any Big Lots, you've been to this one. Odd items, overstock, and bargains everywhere. Food, housewares, furniture, ceramics, signs, containers, and many things you'd also find at a Target, but the stock changes pretty frequently, and you never know what you're going to find. It's a step beneath World Market in the exotic nature of items, but it beats HomeGoods. Take the same caution you would in purchasing items from Harbor Freight, e.g. the items may be sold here because they were made at the cost of the laborer; That seems to happen a lot now in our boring dystopia. Good prices, interesting selection, fun to browse. Highly recommended.

Ordered a mattress online and picked up in store. The process was easy enough with no issues. The employee, Ron brought it to the curbside and helped us load it into the truck, which was appreciated. I walked around beforehand and it looked like inventory was low, but perhaps it was because of the holiday.

We bought a couch from these guys a few months ago. The cushions are already sagging. It's not very comfortable. We moved it recently to clean under it only to discover that one of the legs is loose as well. They are affordable but I guess you get what you pay for?
