They are the only people who have ever been able to trim all of my anxious dog’s nails! Our dog is a very smart, *very* anxious hound, and he usually gets so hysterical about his nails that our last two vets just started sending him home halfway done (and charged us full price of course). …We were getting desperate and these guys had some reviews about being successful with anxious dogs, so we figured we might as well try them out. So glad we did!!! This groomer used a dremmel for his nails, which he tolerates better than clippers, and his nails are the shortest they’ve ever been! The guy that worked with him (didn’t get his name) waited for him to calm down and went ahead and did it, and it was not only a great job, it was way quicker than we expected! At this point we would’ve paid any price, but theirs was also super reasonable! We will definitely be returning! 🤩

Carol and her team have done a great job with grooming my chow chow, Bella. Carol met with a Pennsylvania dermatologist right when I first scheduled with Animal Connection. This vet provided Carol with advice on how to restore my dog's damaged coat (Bella was a rescue that had been shaved due to injuries). Carol has taken the time to really help my dog. Since then, my dog comes out of her appointments with beautiful grooming and as a big of a smile as a dog can muster!

This was our first grooming experience with Animal Connection LLC and I have to say, I am over the moon. Our sweet old man came back looking like a million bucks--ears cleaned, nails buffed, bathed, brushed, clipped (right down to his old man toe hair haha), smells incredible, looks (and probably feels) about 10 lbs lighter with all the dead undercoat they removed!! Considering all they did on him and the amount of time it took, they were very affordable, and service was top notch! Everyone my husband and I have spoken to on the phone and interacted with were friendly and professional! Can't wait to have our Great Pyrenees done next weekend!!! Thank you guys SO much!!

One of the best pet stores I ever been to. The owner was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer all of my questions and recommend products based on my pet's needs. She even gave me a bunch of samples to try out, which was really appreciated. The products at the store were top-notch too - I was able to find my favorite Green Juju freeze-dried food as well as some other great brands I hadn't tried before. Overall, I left feeling really satisfied with my purchase and impressed by the level of service and quality of products at the store. I would highly recommend this pet store to anyone looking for high-quality pet products and great customer service

Patty is so amazing, and her store is awesome! So many homemade treats to choose from, a bunch of birthday stuff, and lots of unique toys and accessories. They also do grooming here! I am so happy I found Animal Connection!

[intense image] My dog had a very bad diarrhea after getting their birthday cake on his birthday. I would definitely avoid anything they made in house. And frankly, what on earth the food coloring is that?! The discharge looks like an smushed alien. Poor guy’s diarrhea kept us up all night when it was his birthday. Sad.

Animal Connection is absolutely wonderful. The owner Pattie and all the staff offer such a high level of experience and expertise supporting companion animals and their humans. They always look out for what is best for the dogs and cats, and provide very helpful guidance on nutrition. They have an excellent selection of food and treats, and lovely toys, harnesses, and leashes, and accessories like sweaters and rain gear.Their groomer Car is excellent! Our dramatic Shiba Inu rescue must have had past trauma with her nails. She can intimidate the best vet tech, but Carol was able to calmly manage the drama and trim her nails successfully. After finishing, Zoe was putty in her hands. We will be working with them on a regular basis to help Zoe have positive experiences and get better with being handled.

I just discovered this lovely pet supply shop. The staff is so helpful, giving guidance and recommendations. I bought a harness/lead for my pulling pup. The harness is so simple and works great. My dog no longer pulls me, thank goodness. This shop is full of so many wonderful things. I'm so glad that I found it.

We went here for the first time to use the self service dog bath and I can only say amazing things about our experience. Our dog hates baths and really struggles but carol was extremely sweet and accommodating to assist us in calming our dog down and making the experience a lot less stressful than it normally is at home. They provided us everything we needed for the bath along with making sure we were comfortable with the equipment.I will definitely be going back again!

I have had my dog groomed here a few times now and he always comes back soft, fluffy, trimmed up and smelling good. My dog is pretty anxious and has previously bitten a groomer. They were still willing to work with him and do a great job!

I took my elderly dog here today for her first grooming since being barred by her previous groomer for becoming aggressive. Carol was great and, with a lot of patience and expertise, she was able to get my dog groomed and looking great! Everyone in the shop was friendly and helpful, and they have great pet products! Highly recommend.

This place is expensive and I usually go there every so often because I really liked their bakery. Unfortunately, the last time I was there I spent well over $135 dollars and they couldn't accommodate me with a nearby bathroom. I would ask, they told me it is within the plaza, I tried walking around multiple times, I finally had to ask for them to physically show me and they still couldn't find it in the plaza. Then directed me across the lawn to the saki shop but clearly being a customer I was dismissed after I paid for the purchases. It didn't fit right with me and wish I had more support/understanding after giving support all these years.

Animal connection is the only place I shop for my dogs! The girl behind the counter is always so friendly and helpful and the owner, Pattie is so nice! They really know their stuff. They will special order for you too if you need something! The groomer is great as well! They all greet us with a smile.

Animal Connection moving to IX has become one of the highlights of 2020 for us! We often take a walk down to treat our pup, get his nails trimmed, or use the dog wash. It has even been a great space to bring our shy foster dogs to get them out of their shells a bit, and to meet potential adoptive families! When we walk by and the shop is closed, our dog still excitedly rushes to the door hoping to get in. Great shop!

I was so pleased today when I picked up my two dogs. We moved to the other side of town and have been searching for a new groomer. After a couple tries elsewhere, we were so happy to find this wonderful place. Everyone is so kind and sweet. I knew my dogs were in caring hands. Omg!!!! These guys are awesome!!!!! My dog Kevin was a freaking mess about getting his nails cut. I took him to groomers who turned him away. My vet would only attempt it if Kevin were on drugs.... and even then after drugging my dog, they weren't able to do it. So they sent me home with MORE DRUGS. I really did not want to give him drugs in the first place let alone give him even more. Friends of mine suggested animal connection and I am telling you this woman is a freaking dog whisperer!!!! Kevin barely made a peep. I don't even think it took her 10 minutes. Thank you Thank you. Thank you. 💘

They have a fun and unique selection of dog-related items. Where I moved from I had a favorite hole-in-the-wall pet store which I loved to support, I was excited to have another locally owned store close to home. I went into the store yesterday because they advertised online that they carry my dog's food, a 5* food that costs about $65-70 per bag. The owner BARELY greeted me before trying to get me to buy a different food that costs $115 for a smaller bag. I did not ask for recommendations to switch dog foods and she treated me as though I am hurting my dog with the food he is on. I've done lots of research for high quality foods that don't bother my dogs allergies and I really wish the service in this store didn't feel so sales-man like.

I went to Animal Connection for the first time yesterday to buy a gift for a client. The sales associate (I wish I had gotten her name) was extremely helpful! The shop was very well organized. Our client was also really happy with the gift. I will definitely come back when I need anything for my own pets!

Very cute shop. I used the self service pet wash and it was great! They had the tub clip so my dog couldn’t get out, shampoo, face wash and a towel. They even gave us dried lamb to coax Theo (my puppy) into being more cooperative. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because they didn’t have any UVA gear for sale despite having it in the window.

Very surprised at the reviews suggesting less than good information and service.I found the owner and her team not only straightforward, but more importantly they carry samples of industry leaders UNLIKE all major retailers.For once, I can test out my animals on new and better food choices without having to buy pounds of it before I know how it will go down.All recommendations have proved good for the cats - and the dog.Bonus: Not having to go out 29.

We started going there when we adopted a kitten back in September. The attention we got from Pattie, the owner, was a god-send. She educated us about food options, providing plenty of samples so that we could find one that fit our cat's tastes and our budget. She has even helped us select herbal remedies to help us treat our cat's kitty herpes (he was a shelter cat) and helped us find something for his sensitive stomach. We have since gotten a poodle puppy, and you can bet we will be going to Pattie for grooming too!

I’m a single parent with two kids and a lovable Labrador. We came into the store, gave all our info, picked our shampoo, about to get a towel when the lady changes her mind and says unless I have another adult with me, I can’t wash my dog. My toddler is secured in my carrier on my back and I have been to several different washes without issue. It’s a shame they’re not accommodating to someone without childcare that needs to bathe their dog.
