This shop was fun, clean, and beautiful! It was a joy to explore. The old safe that had been turned into a book nook was my favorite part. My son loved the selection of stuffies. My daughter loved the craft toys and the fun window displays. And the shop keeper was kind and fun to talk to. We will definitely visit again!

Great toy store in Downtown Charlottesville with a great selection of toys for every age. Love the little library room! My boys had a blast during the Pokemon event last week and would definitely participate in more events in the future.

Incredible selection of high quality toys! You won't find a bad option here and the staff are very kind and passionate about their products. Excellent selection of games, stuffies, interactive kits, blind boxes, stationary, jewelry, and even a book corner.

Lots of cute stuffies that even adults and teens would love. Good selection of board games for all ages. Staff was very helpful. The building kept a historical vault that's being used by the shop, which adds unique character. Worth a trip to visit to see all the things, especially things you're not going to find just anywhere.

I was visiting Charlottesville from New York a couple of weeks ago to visit my elderly mother. I was excited to see that there are numerous toy stores in Charlottesville because I'm planning on bringing my five-year-old with me on my next trip down. I cannot say this place impressed me. The selection was pretty good, but what stood out to me most was an middle-aged male smelling strongly of c*nn*b*s. A children's toy store is not the place for that behavior.

We walked downtown before getting dinner to stop in some of the shops that were open. This was my favorite place we went into last night. I loved all the kids toys, games that adults and children could both enjoy, books, etc. They had a nice selection and the prices were not outrageous as you usually find at specialty shops. I will likely be back here again on my next visit to Charlottesville. Check it out if you have kids or just love games in general!!!

Excellent small business located in Agora Market, downtown Harrisonburg. Went to look for a new board game with my wife and was overwhelmed by the selection options. Thankfully the staff was friendly and helped us pick a game out that ended up being our favorite ever! (Duel is the game, awesome 2 player version of 7 Wonders)

Alakazam Toys is a wonderful store with helpful staff and a wide selection of children's toys, many of them creative and a bit out of the mainstream options found at larger stores. I recently ordered several items online and they delivered to my home almost immediately. I found this option to be of great value. For a small town, Harrisonburg is fortunate to have Alakazam Toys as part of the Agora Marketplace. I love going there when I need to buy a gift for my grandchildren. Good variety and range of toys for different age groups.

the best toy store. Full of toys! We really enjoyed popping in here Sunday morning to find toys for our kids. They also have better hours than other toy stores that didn’t open until 12 noon. Highly recommend this store for anyone with kids. Also check them out online!

Beautiful and quirky selection of stuffed animals (they had Digimon!) and they have Usborne books! I love that they carry a wide variety of stuff from Star Wars to Transformers to Calico Critters. The staff are really awesome and sweet. If you have a question they will immediately help you find what you need and they are part of the reason I like to come here. Good selection and lovely people makes this my favorite toy store!

I loved this store before I had kids when I was buying gifts for my nieces but now that I have my own child, I extra love this place. They carry an amazing variety of cool, interesting and educational toys for all ages at fairly excellent cost. The store is colorful and really just a pleasure to visit. You can bet I'll keep coming back!

Alakazam is everything you want and more from a small town toy store. Personal attention, awesome suggestions for picky kids, ridiculously creative stuff, and the coolest, smartest staff. I wish they existed when I was a kid. I don’t even live in Cville but I order all my toys from them anyway. They’re good people.
