What a terrific bird store! They have lots of open space, sitting areas, friendly cats, and plenty of parrots! Bird toys, perches and bird novelty gifts. On the weekends they bring out their birds to sit on perches in the store. The staff is super friendly and helpful! This is a fun store to get acquainted with parrots.

Best aviary in the area hands down. They have a large bird room that is worth going to check out (if you're okay with squawking 😂) the birds are all hand tame and used to people. Purchased a lifelong companion here and she's just great!

We got our Caique (Rascal) renamed Maui, 2 years ago from TC Feathers. Went back in today and ended up getting a baby Scarlet Macaw (Buster) and put a deposit on a baby Rose Breasted Cockatoo. Everyone was super helpful, attentive & professional. They let us spend as much time as we needed with our babies before making a decision and never rushed us. We probably spent an hour or even two hours in the store, going back and forth between our babies before finally deciding we wanted both.

We have bought two birds (green cheek and sun conure) from TC Feathers. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and is able to answer any question we have about our birds. We take them back often to have their wings and nails trimmed. Their food and supplies are a great price as well! The environment of the store is easy going and they make it stress free and fun to pick out a pet bird!Our sun conure was well trained when we picked him out. He was able to step up before we even brought him home!

I was very disappointed in this store. I recently moved to the area and none of the pet stores I had been to had a good selection of bird stuff, so at first I was really happy to find this place. That’s their one good quality, they have a large selection of perches and toys that I wasn’t able to find elsewhere. However, they’re pretty overpriced. The people who work here (I think it’s the owners and family) are not very helpful or friendly. They don’t greet you when you come in or talk to you at all. The store is dusty and I ran into spiderwebs getting perches off the wall.However, my main issue with this store is that they don’t take very good care of their birds. For many of the larger birds, the cages are too small. I’ve been into the store 4 times before writing this and every time, the only food the birds have available is dried fruit (there are a couple of birds that have seed available) but no pellets or anything that provides real nutrients. Several of the birds I saw looked to be overweight. The cages aren’t cleaned well, there are dead bugs in many of them and roaches. The back room where the birds are kept doesn’t have windows. It’s very sad to go in there, it hurts to see the birds in conditions like that.In the photo attached there was a bird in the cage and a roach in the bird poo on the floor.

I got my two lineated parakeets (Linnies) from here about 2 years ago now.I initially went into the store to buy just one, but they were the last 2 left and they somehow were bonded to each other. I couldn’t leave with just one. To this day, they are a joy to watch and they are real goofballs.I will definitely be coming back in the future for another birdie purchase.

I love coming to this place! They always have a cat or two hanging around, a wide variety of toys and foods for birds and a wide variety of birds and personalities!! For how dirty birds can be this place is actually really well kept. And the people that work here are always nice and patient!

Very friendly staff when 20 mins before closing time they were very nice about it. So many lovely birds to see and I got to hold them and buy a beautiful sun conure baby. They are pricy $$$. BUT it's worth it they take very good care of them, make a deposit and you can pay it off before you pick up your baby 👶.

Absolutely love TC Feathers! When I went to put my deposit on my cockatiel “Salem” Tina I was very helpful as I wanted him DNA tested. About a week ago we went to pick the handsome guy up and I am beyond grateful for Tina’s help getting his food and millet and all the things I needed to help his transition from Aviary to home. He is doing great no issues super friendly and curious all the things he should be. Will definitely go back to TC feathers. Keep up the amazing work ladies!! ❤️

They are great. Got a baby conure there. Over the years, i have had 3 birds who were all skittish, and scared of new experiences. This was my first hand-raised bird.This little puffball from TC Feathers has been home less than a month, and she is incredibly intelligent, curious, and trusting of new people/foods. I attribute this to the staff's knowledge and care for the birds in their formative phase.My bird was already on a very healthy no-seed diet, bottle-trained, and only took her a couple days to "step up" without biting. Smart as a whip and loves to investigate/explore everything - as a bird should in my opinion.Every single member of the staff with whom i interacted was professional, polite, knowledgable -- from the most experienced, to the teenagers, they were all amazing and took the time to answer all my questions.I have my hands full at the moment, but if i ever was to adopt another bird friend, would only go to TC Feathers.

I was helping the Montgomery County Humane Society with a macaw and TC Feathers Aviary was willing to take the beautiful hybrid macaw! He was surrendered by people that fed him a horrible diet and fed him nothing but human food including chicken, eggs, french fries, bread etc. Thanks to this wonderful place he will have the life he finally deserves and hopefully a wonderful home! They are saints!

Waited more than a year on reserve list for a bird with a down deposit all be it small. Once a bird was available I was given a much higher price to my disappointment. Thankfully I was refunded my deposit. However, constantly checking in and waiting for more than a year than being baited and switched leaves a poor taste in one's mouth. Even then you would think I would be worked with, or given a discount as a courteously for waiting so long.Otherwise, I appreciated the communication given up until a bird was available. As well as them working with my request to get a male.

They take really good care of birds here. The owner has taken birds that were abandoned by their owners and have given these birds a home. It is a bird sanctuary and a very nice place where birds are well cared. The baby birds are carefully hand fed and raised. We are looking for possibly owning a bird, but want to make sure we can live up to the commitment as these birds live a long time. In the meanwhile, this is a beautiful place for bird supplies and birds. It is not smelly like other bird stores.

Don’t let them cut your baby’s wings! I did my deposit waited two months to pick up my baby parrot and it’s been almost a year of ownership and her wings don’t grow !! They give my parrot an absolutely horrible clip I’m sure they cut all the way to the bone 😞she sees his mate fly around but she can’t the person who did it should be fired smh !!

Very good selection of birds perches, toys at different price points. Much more than pet stores. Additionally for different sizes of birds. The food is a very wide selection also. Many options for cages. The prices are moderate. However the selection and quantity and quality is worth it. They offer boarding. We got 2 small birds with DNA testing approximately 24 months ago. Our first birds. The staff was very helpful and calm through the process and after sale. It saved a few real expensive trips to avian vets. They have dealt with 1000s of birds.

We bought our precious caique here. They are great about letting you handle your bird for the first few months before they can come home with you.It makes a huge difference. Our bird is very bonded to us and a joy to own.We've also called with questions here and there and the staff have always given helpful recommendations or pointed us to an Exotics vet when needed.
