Over the last 7 months, Gus and I had the pleasure of working with Lee, and I am thrilled to share my positive experience. From start to finish, the training sessions were a resounding success, and I couldn't be happier with the results.Lee demonstrated a deep understanding of dog behavior and training techniques, which was evident from the very first session. Her approach was not only effective but also tailored to meet the specific needs and personality of my dog and other dogs in class. I appreciated how they took the time to get to know both me and Gus, offering personalized tips for his specific needs.One of Lee's standout qualities is her patience and positive reinforcement methods. I highly recommend the dog training course. Be sure to ask for Lee - She brought passion, common sense, discipline (for the owner and the dog!), and decades of experience supplemented with extensive studies of dog behavior. It was like magic watching her interact with the untrained dogs in our beginner class. I've applied her training successfully to dogs with completely different personalities, including my own anxiety ridden rescue dog and others' rambunctious, high energy dogs and seen instant results.

The customer service here today was incredibly disappointing. I arrived 30 minutes before closing to exchange a sick fish that had passed away after having it for just two days. Despite the 14-day return policy, I was told I couldn't exchange the fish because the staff member from pet care had left 30 minutes earlier (a whole hour before closing). I was told there were only two staff members left in the store and one guy hadn’t been trained to scoop fish. Anyways, the other person I dealt with who was trained on scooping fish, Alexis, was extremely rude and refused to assist me even though she had sold me the sick fish just two days before. It was frustrating to be told that I'd have to pay a price difference if I were to do an exchange and get the exact same fish simply because I used my petsmart points to purchase the sick fish. This made absolutely no sense because I was literally planning on getting the exact same fish. Anyways, I was more irritated at the fact that Alexis refused to get me a new fish because she was busy counting money 30 minutes before closing and claimed that she wasn’t assigned to the fish section today. Who else is supposed to service customers who want fish if there are only two employees left in the whole store??? Alexis' behavior was unacceptable, especially given her rude demeanor. When I came two days prior she was on her cell phone making a personal call WHILE getting me the fish that died after 48 hours. Alexis needs to undergo rigorous customer service training as she is the rudest person I have met in a while. I’m not sure why someone who works at a pet store has such a nasty attitude and acts like customers are bothering her by asking her to do her job.

Great place for all animals. Just wished they cleaned a little more in the store. Smells like you’re walking into a cat litter box but what can you expect from a pet store. Highly recommend them power washing their entrance as it’s a strong odor walking in

Horrible customer service. Wasn’t spoken to when I entered the store. The cashier (a black woman), did not open her mouth at all. She checked us out without even greeting us. She gave attitude when we added something else and didn’t say anything after we paid. My first time in the store. I can only imagine how she treats other customers. It cost nothing to speak and truly be a nice person.

I shop here only because it's the closest pet store for buying supplies for my sons bearded dragon. I have no loyalty to PetSmart. I cobsider PetSmart to be the Nordstroms of pet stores. Really, the prices are way too high. Most people don't know they do price matching so that helps. The service here is adequate, However, every time I go to shop it's difficult to find floor help.

I've now taken six, yes SIX, classes with Lee at the Chantilly petsmart. Why so many classes? Because they WORK! I took beginner, intermediate, advanced, and brain games with my 3 year old husky and puppy and intermediate with my younger husky. While there is so much to learn online about dog training, nothing beats the in-person support of an expert. And Lee is an expert. Through taking classes with her I've learned how to communicate with my dogs and become a better handler. Lee is always there to help with every dog and owner's individual challenges and makes sure nobody goes ignored in class. I will continue to go back for the incredibly valuable help from an incredibly skilled trainer! If you're looking to gain confidence in training and handling your dog along with building a better relationship, there's no better value than these classes!

This location apparently refuses to let customers hold or interact with animals in any way before they adopt them, which is a policy I have never heard of in any other location, nor during the years I worked at petsmart. If this really is company policy, it’s kind of nuts. I ended up having to buy the animal and take her out to interact sitting in my car just to be sure I wasn’t getting an animal that was going to act insane when I got it home.Update: The response (pasted below) I received from Petsmart Corporate confirms that this manager was completely uneducated on company policy and simply wanted to create problems and embarrass her employees by publicly blaming them for people being upset with her rude behavior (even if those employees hadn’t even interacted with the customer in question). I sincerely hope she enjoyed getting to say “Actually, I’m the manager” when someone who worked for her company longer than she has questioned her interpretation of store policy.Corporate Response: “I hope you and your pets are having a wonderful day! I am really sorry for the poor experience you had at your local store, I would not like if this happened to me so I understand your concerns. This is never the experience we aim for, and I understand how you feel. I am here to help in any way that I can.”

A great PetSmart, with a great pet hospital and an amazing salon for your pet. This is our preferred salon for bringing our dog in for a nice bath and cut. The store staff are always friendly and the lines that check out are always short. Their selection of foods and toys and accessories is wide and the prices are generally pretty reasonable. Definitely recommend starting by for your pet needs!

I’m at a loss of words of what happened to my dog. This is my first time dealing with a PetSmart hotel and set up an appointment for one whole week. I came back with a huge bruise of my dog (shown at the picture). They took my dog to the vet but it felt like that vet did nothing but inflated the price I had to pay since all they did was conduct a bunch of tests which resulted in negatives and no actual CARE such as making the bruise on his eye better in some shape or form. This is equivalent to going to a doctor that did X-ray, MRI, EKG and CBC test while having a bleeding hand then charged you money and kick you out of the hospital with no actual treatment to your open wound. (I paid $300+ for the vet that did nothing). Now for the staff, I’m not sure what was the thought process here. You see a dog with this wound and most likely know it is self inflicted why on earth did no one provided a cone for him! I walked through the store they obviously exist in the store and I’ll gladly pay for it but god just help my dog. Horrible experience. If you care about your dog, I would look else where for lodgings.

Do not buy fish here!All the tanks are absolutely disgusting. They need a deep cleaning bad and proper water treatment. I used to work at a pet store before and if you’re diligent the tanks NEVER look like that. No excuse!The fish are ill or stressed, lord knows what the water quality is.Not to mention the place reeks like urine as you walk in and I was not greeted by any of the employees, they just walked right by.Very sad. I will rather make the drive to the Reston Petsmart or the Petco in Sterling.

Lee is the best trainer that you can find. The price is ridiculously cheap and the quality of training exceeded my expectations. Lee is amazing and any dog is in good hands with her. Our dog Archie absolutely loved Lee. We have done beginner, intermediate, and will soon be taking the advanced class. Highly recommend Lee to all.

The station for dog accidents was full and it smelled disgusting. The sprayer didn't work on the cleaner. There was urine all over the place. No one ever cleans. I cleaned up when my dog got sick. That's how I know about the cleanup station. Nasty place. Not safe to bring pets inside here with all the germs. We were going to the vet inside. I'm considering switching vets now. Never again.

I come here to buy fish many times, service was nice but the last 2 times and Today, I am really angry . I feel discrimination from a Spanish manager. She was constantly annoyed with me. I have never once in my life bought anything that I had to return. Just because I like to buy a lot of fish She is upset with me, she is constantly upset and says if I buy a lot of Dead Fish I can't return it. And that's also the first time I know dead fish can be returned. But I like to change, I like to buy, I buy anything I want , and Today I bought more 10 fish and some decorating stuff and she kept telling the cashier remind me I can’t return 😡

I used to dislike this location but things have turned around and it's a well run store. The store manager is very friendly and kind. I was getting cat food and began to cry over the recent loss of my boy cat. She gave me some comforting words and a hug, that empathy and human touch really helped turn my mood around for the rest of the evening.Sincerely thank you for understanding and caring about my pain.

I like the metrotech location. They are usually well stalked and the store is large. Includes pet hotel, groomer, training and veterinary services. What I don't understand is why the lines are always so long and slow, the people at the registers scan items at snail speed and it's always impressive to me how long it takes to buy a few items.

This is the place to be avoided for grooming especially when you have large dogs. The groomers are very unethical and has no professional manners with the customers. To avoid working with big dogs( more work) they come with various reasons of avoiding appointments. I have not seen such a service in my life

An outstanding experience with the Store Manager, Ms. Howard which was last evening. She went above and beyond in order to build up a new fish tank for my 5 years old grand daughter. It was a birthday present to her and when she saw fish tank she was very happy and wanted to personally thank the store manager for a job well done. You are the best manager ever. We frequently use this PetSmart's Doggy Daycamp service to sit for our dog Luna while we're at work. She's usually there most of the day, and always comes out happy and tired when we pick her up. The staff members are phenomenal, and give us a "Pawgress report" that tells us how Luna did during the day. The staff also put pictures up from time to time of the dogs that attend Daycamp, and its quite obvious they all care deeply about them. I'd also mention that Lee, the puppy/dog trainer, is excellent and has a great sense of humor, and I'd definitely recommend her classes.

I highly recommend Lee as a dog trainer! I enrolled my 8 week old puppy in the puppy obedience class. I was so glad I did because at 8 weeks my puppy was biting and jumping a lot. Lee taught me how to redirect the bad behaviors. Her class taught me how to make my dog focus on me and also how to reward calm and good behavior. My puppy knows how to sit, lay down, stay, come to me, leave it, and to walk on the leash. I am so happy to have taken Lee’s class because I hadn’t had a young puppy in a long time and I was feeling overwhelmed in her training. Now I feel much more confident in training my dog, Thanks to Lee , I am starting to enjoy training my puppy! I am looking forward to learning more and having an obedient adult dog.

We had the unfortunate experience twice in a row at this locations grooming salon.I dislike leaving reviews like this but unfortunately this happened to us twice. The first time we went we decided to trim down our dog for the summer time. Kai the groomer left our dog with patches and razor cut all over his body. We let it go as we know that it can be difficult to cut a dogs hair.Our second time was again with groomer Kai, this time we asked to have our dogs ears cleaned and plucked, nail trim, paw and face trim. None of those things were done.We contact corporate and they directed us to the Alvaro the store leader. He tried to get us to come back to have our dogs grooming done again, but after the second time we could not trust the grooming salon there. Sadly you never know what can be done to your dog behind closed doors.We went to the store to get our refund and not even one apology from the store leader, almost felt as if they wanted us to go in and out and go away.Unfortunately, even though this store is close to our place we will not take our dog nor recommend taking your dog there after our experience.
