We have been extremely pleased with Invisible Fence the company and invisible fence the product. Just recently Bryant came out and did an excellent repair job after our landscaper damaged our fence. I would like to recommend Invisible Fence, but their prices have gone up astronomically since we first used them a few years ago.When there was a break in the line it took 2 weeks to get someone out here in Hamilton. When he came he tore up the grass and did a terrible and sloppy job replacing the sod.Furthermore, the charge for coming here plus 30 minutes digging up the ground and fixing the break was well over $300. In the very near past the service call was $75 + $50 an hour for labor. That’s 140% more.We have to have an “invisible fence” for our dog so we’re stuck. Wish they had some competition.

Pete was the initial sales representative who came out and gave my family and me a rundown of the fence. Connor, Robert, and Josh helped my dog with the training, and honestly, the last five months with this fence have been a game changer. My dog loves having the yard to himself, and we enjoy the safety of keeping him in. Overall, there have been no technical issues for us, and the previous times I’ve called, I haven’t had issues with service. We are very happy with our choice to get this invisible fence!

We have a 6th month old Australian Shepherd who was darting across the street to play with her "friends". We recently purchased our home and the previous owner had installed an invisible fence. We called invisible fence of Chantilly, who installed the original system, and they sent out Austin to inspect our system. Austin was customer focused, very informative and took great care to ensure our puppy would be safe. After repairing several cut lines, upgrading our system and training our pup, we no longer have any worries about her leaving the yard. I would definitely recommend invisible fence to any dog owner - it is life changing and ask for Austin.

If I could give it zero stars I would! This location should be either shut down or the at least the management should be fired, got a fence from awhile back and I hate calling them whenever I need help. Aside from a few select employees these guys have the bottom of the barrel customer service. I heard James was replaced by Diana because he got promoted and man let me tell you it is now even worse under her! She had rude and condescending customer service, zero to little knowledge about fences, and treat's employees pretty bad. I have talked to a former tech at that location and he told me they play favorites and pay non white workers much less and don't promote them as much even if they have extensive experience in the company. I believe what he says because of how they treated me so many other folks. If you still give them your business after reading so many negative reviews then prepare for the consequences!Service: General repairs & maintenance

We moved into a new neighborhood and wanted an invisible fence for our outdoor cat so he wouldn't bother the neighbors. He was tearing our house to shreds being cooped up inside. He shredded the blinds that came with the house and we desperately needed to get him outside but we didn't know the neighborhood yet so we wanted to keep him in our yard. The installation guy gave us the collar and helped get it fitted for him and start his training. For weeks we encouraged him to go outside, but our cat who is an OUTDOOR car through and through just didn't want to go outside with the collar on. Turns out the collar dug into his skin but we didn't realize how bad it was until a few weeks later noticed he kept scratching it a lot so I checked and the prongs had dug bloody holes into his skin, it was horrifying. He never wanted to go outside with his collar on and it was a huge challenge to get the collar on him and convince him to go outside, so he just wasn't even utilizing the fence we had paid for. We stopped using the collar as soon as we saw the injury and after a few more weeks we realized we just were never going to be able to utilize the fence. He was only going to want to go outside with no collar on. So I called them to explain the issue and that we are not going to be able to utilize the system we had installed and asked if they could refund us. The sales person had given me the impression that if the fence did not work for us that we could get a refund. They said this situation did not qualify for a refund. A huge waste of a couple thousand dollars just to injure our cat and be disappointed. The people were friendly, but I'm really dissappointed to have paid so much money for something that traumatized my cat and injured him and we will never use.Service: Dog fence installation

We hired Invisible Fence Brand by Clark Associates in Chantilly, VA to upgrade and repair the invisible dog fence from the previous homeowner. They repaired a couple wire breaks, reduced the overall parameter of the original fence and installed the latest control module on December 14, 2022 at a cost of $1342.00 not including the dog collar. They had some difficulty doing the repairs and installation and it was the 3rd technician they sent out that finally completed a working system although he seemed to have some reservations about installing the new controller module in the same location as the older unit but he decided it would probably work just fine. About 4 months later the system began having intermittent problems staying active resulting in the control module emitting a loud beeping sound to notify the system was not working. Upon calling the company for a repair technician they advised me that there was a service call fee of $210 plus a one hour minimum labor charge of $85 despite the system only being 4 months old. I agreed on the fee and scheduled an appointment, however before the appointment date arrived the system control module reversed itself and began working properly. This off-again, on-again situation went on for a month and the representatives at Invisible Fence said there was no point in sending a tech out when the system was working. Finally on May 31, 2023 at technician came out and relocated the control module from the old location in the basement to an outside wall in an upstairs bedroom and he said that he did repair a break in the line but I cannot verify that. That repair cost $335.20. 5 days later the system went down again! I have called the business to complain and schedule another appointment for another tech to come out. I was put on hold for several minutes waiting for someone in their service department but gave up and called back to request to speak to a supervisor and was told that I would have to leave my number for a call back from them. To date no call has been returned. Additionally, the repair tech from the 5/31/23 call informed me that the polarity of the system was reversed and that the amperage was set too high. The feed line to the outer loop from the old location of the module in the basement was underneath my paver patio and was a ‘live’ wire which related to both my dog and my daughters dog being shocked while the amperage was too high while on the patio. Now neither dog will come onto that portion of the patio even though the feed wire is now located out of the wall from the upstairs bedroom. In closing I would say that all the various technicians that have come to the home have been very pleasant and courteous and did all they knew how to do. It’s the management that does not do what they need to do to install and maintain a working system at a reasonable cost. I have two fences installed and there have been issues with the second fence I had placed on my fathers property. When I've called to report the issue I never received a call back. The dogs are shocked in zones they should not be and the unit itself beeps intermittently. From the get-go the system has not been right. The "manager" on duty was rude, told me I never called and hung-up on me. When I called back the women would not even tell me the name of who I spoke with. If I want my $1200 fence to work properly I need to spend over $200 plus time and material for them to come out.Service: Dog fence installation

Vernell did a great job training our shop dog. There is a busy parking lot at our back bay door and he used an indoor unit to keep her inside the bay. Now we can keep the door open! Awesome!

I highly recommend them, make sure you use the original invisible fence, many companies out there that use the name but you won’t get this level of service. WARNING!!!!! Collars Inadvertently Shock Your Pet!!! Cause Psychological Trauma and PAIN!We purchased the indoor invisible fence to keep our dog from entering an area of our home. After we trained our dog and he recognized where the boundary was he began having what we thought were panic attacks. Our dog was in a different building (home office)from where the unit was installed. He would sudden jump on the furniture or into the shower, panting, shaking and twitching. After several days of this, my husband finally heard beeping. It was our dogs invisible fence collar. The collar was inadvertently shocking our dog and causing psychological trauma and pain. When I went to return the unit, I was told some frequencies will set the collar off. Like it was no big deal. There was no warning of this when we received the collar in writing or verbally given by the sales representative. My concerns were completely dismissed.This is definitely a “for profit” company. Our experience is that they definitely DO NOT have the best interests of your pets at heart or they would include warnings with their equipment. Beware… Your beloved pet may be getting shocked unknowingly! It you know anyone with an invisible fence, spread the word. Help keep pets safe!

We purchased the invisible fence a little over a year ago when we moved into our new home. We don't have a large yard, so we figured a invisible fence would be a good option. Didn't have any issues when we first had it installed, and the trainer for my older dog was great. It wasn't until I had someone come out to change the zones and add a new dog that I started having issues. First off a new collar costs about $400, so be aware. Since our new dog was added, we've been having issues with the front part of our yard, our dog can now just run into the street, batteries from our battery plan showing up after the current batteries died, and had to drive to the office twice to get the collar readjusted since they can't do that remotely. When we finally had a scare when our dog darted right out of the front yard into the street; we called them to have a technician come out just to ensure things are working properly. I was informed that I will need to pay them over $100 to have someone come out, plus any costs if they need to fix anything. With the amount of money I've paid a little over a year, I could have purchased a fence and felt more secure about my dogs being contained.

I used these guys in Northern Virginia for approximately 10 years. Just moved and got it again. My 4 girls didn't even need the collar after a few years but we got them anyways. Is a bit pricey? Sure. But what would pay if your dog got lost? Plus a lot of HOA's don't allow a physical fence. And if you move, you can take the box with you an just get the re-wiring. First they called me to confirm the evening before and then the morning of. My service technician was able to arrive earlier than scheduled. They asked me if that was OK which I really appreciated. Tyreek arrived and immediately greeted me and my dog Ollie. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the business. I was having issues with some of my pets at home. I heard of Invisible Fence in the past and figured I would give it a try. I called the office and spoke to an associate named Dana and was very impressed. She was very professional and helpful. She listened to my situation and was very understanding. I ended up buying a remote training system for my dog Stormy. I also got an outdoor ultrasonic bird house to prevent my dogs' constant barking. My final purchase was an indoor avoidance system with a collar, which I use to keep my cat Mama from trying to run outside. We are so happy with our invisible fence from quote, which was very reasonable, to installation.Austin was our installer. He turned up right on time but one man short, not that the short handed ness bothered him, he got right to work and got finished in record time. We were really impressed! Invisible Fence has been so wonderful for us! Our home had it when we moved in years ago but we felt our dogs were too old so we never bothered to get them using the system. My biggest fear came true 4 years ago when my fearful 15 year old dog got spooked we believe by deer and ran off. For hours neighbors spotted her tried to grab her but she was to afraid and ran further and was hit and killed by a car. We were heartbroken!Two years ago our family decided to get a puppy and one of my first calls was to Invisible Fence. Kyle Mohr was so helpful from the very start.
